Customers are positive about the sound quality, comfort, battery life, open-ear design, fit, bone conduction, and lightweight features of the OpenRun Pro Premium Bone Conduction Open-Ear Sport Headphones. They appreciate the clear and immersive sound, comfortable and secure fit, long battery life, ability to hear their surroundings, lightweight design, and innovative bone conduction technology.
On the other hand, customers are negative about the volume, bass, price, connectivity, and microphone. They feel the volume could be louder, the bass is lacking, the price is high, the connectivity is unstable, and the microphone could be improved for better call quality.

The sound quality and battery life of the headphones, as well as the fit work very well for me. I am a big fan of bone conduction headphones, as earbuds tend to fall out of my ears no matter how lard I try. With these, I do not have to worry about losing them or need to constantly re-adjust them to hear well. I also feel safer using these than earbuds, as I feel that I am still aware of the surrounding sounds and can react if necessary. I use them for running and also for everything else from making calls to listening to audiobooks. The microphone works very well for calls - I have a soft voice and often get complains that people have trouble hearing me, but never with these.

I'm not much of a runner, but I do bike with headphones/earbuds quite often. So I wanted to see how these performed while out for a ride. I'm always aprehensive of not hearing a car coming up behind me. So I put paired these with my iPhone and took of on my eBike. With the audio at about 80% I could hear an approaching motorcycle, a good start, pretty much what I was hoping to find. just after I rounded a corner, a Tesla zipped by, I never heard it, but it's pretty stealthy. I then rode down to the park at the end of my street, and at 80% volume I really could not make out any conversations, but I could see lips moving. I dropped the volume to 50% and I could hear voices but I could not make out the words without turning the volume down further. So at norma or lowered volume you still can't make out conversations, so don't plan on talking to someone with these on at moderate volume, they still pump enough volume toward your ears to prevent you from hearing much. But pausing the music, I don't need to take them off to be able to hear like I do with earbuds. And they are VERY comfortable, you don't feel like they are going to fall off, bouncing over a speed bump at 20mph I had no problem with them staying in place. My bike helmet has built in "headphones" and these Shokz sound so much better, not even a fair comparison. So I'll move on to my normal listening tests.
I started by listening to Boston's first album. More than a Feeling had some nice kick but the highs seemed to be missing (I had not noticed this on my eBike ride, with the wind in my hair). With Boston's Foreplay/Long Time the stereo separation was spectacular, but the high end was still weak. You could hear the soundstage moving around (as expected). The mid-bass was nice and tight, the tom-toms sounded nice and full and it has some kick on the side of my head. The bass opening in Smokin had the vibration of the headphones earning their "Shokz bone conduction" name, the mid-bass also sounded, great, but the airy highs were notably missing. But as I listened to the clear separation of the right and left sound stage, It felt like my head was playing with the sound, at points the sound was clearly right and left , but at other points it was more centered in front of me (or inside my head). Good headphones will give this illusion. As I closed out with Let me Take you Home, the missing highs, was not bothering me as much and I was noticing how nice the balance was for open ear headphones. The bass was very different than good over the ear headphones, but it's all about playing with my head, in how they perform, with the vibrations of the headset replacing true deep bass, but it manages to fool the head/brain to a large extent.
Now on to Pink Floyd's DSOTM, I know what I expect from every note in this album. The "crazy" vocals in Speak to Me, were well centered, not just in the background. The music spins right to left and back (great separation, the stereo R/L soundstage was still excellent). The lack of highs were more noticeable in some of the vocals, but the mids were very clean. The Clocks on Time were good, and The Great Gig in the Sky's female voices were nice but missing the pinpoint high tones. The warble at end was just almost in audible. Again the bass in Eclipse was very cool sounding, but the soft background voices were hard to discern without more noticeable highs.
So, I really liked the feel of these on the head, I could wear them all day, they claim to run for up to 10 hours on a charge, but after about 8h use I got a battery low warning. Still acceptable. They come with a nice travel case, and a proprietary to USB-A charging cable. I wish it had a standard connector, like USB-C, as I have lots of these. So another cable to "not loose" (-1/2 star). The vibrating head bass is pretty effective, I expected it to be more gimmicky, but it does fool you head to a large extent. The open air drivers that point into your ear (see pictures), can't be heard by others around you (also surprising), but if you attempt to talk with them on, you'll likely be talking loudly. As I said the high end does not match the power/balance of the low/mid end (-1/2 star), but over all its very listenable, especially given the comfort of the 'head phones'. I really did enjoy the comfort, few headphones/earbuds I've tried are this comfortable. I was able to use them on my elliptical and stationary bike (but the eBike was more of real workout), so I don't doubt they would be fine for running, they will stay put. They won't yet replace echo canceling high end headphones. There is a Shokz app that lets you adjust the equalization (two modes) and update the firmware. I had no issues pairing them, and was able to use the BT from over 30 feet away. They are very nice headphones.

This is my second pair of bone conduction headphones from this company. I only needed to buy a replacement after about 4 years of regular use led to the old pair having the left side driver become detached.
So far this model has been a noticeable improvement in comfort (both how they sit on my head and the weight) and I didn't mind the old pair at all. The sound is... different. I think these have more clarity but I believe they actually lack some of the bass output of the older model. That being said, the sound quality is acceptable for my use case. I wear these while running and occasionally while doing work around the house so critical listening isn't the point. They sound good enough and are comfortable while still allowing me to hear my surroundings.

Very comfortable, especially if you don't like the earbuds to go in your eat. Everyone hears me extremely clear. I am in it all day and the battery has never dies on me

I love my shokz. They’re durable which is perfect for work use. They function exactly how they’re supposed too. My voice and hearing people voice is clear. I listen to my audio books with them. The sound is just right. It’s been a year or maybe more and they’re still ticking unlock the AirPods and AirPods Pro’s I wanted my money on. Battery lasts what the box says they’re supposed too. All day. Easy to connect and use with some minor annoyances.

This product exceeded all of my expectations this far. It sounds great from bass, mid, to treble. The battery life was better than I expected. I wear it all day, charge it when I get home, and it charges crazy fast! Also, my boss is happy because they don't plug up my ears. Dare I say that this is better than what Apple is pushing out.
Only boondoggle would be that if you wear glasses, it might fit a bit weird. To me, it was no-factor. It works, it's great. I might get one for my Dad for Father's Day.

I read the other reviews before purchasing and was looking at Comfort, Sound Quality, and Battery Life. I was not disappointed in either area. I wore them for 48 hours straight (slept with them) and they were on when I woke and throughout the day, I sometimes forgot I had them on. The sound quality was excellent and I could listen to music and hear others talking, which allowed me to multi-task. Battery life is as described. LOVE IT!

These are great! I use them on my mountain bike, street bike, take to the gym, use on hikes, great on airplanes too. and they stay on perfectly. Sound if enjoyable. Battery lasts a long time. Highly recommend.

Love the design, extremely comfortable, and long lasting battery. I wear them for 10 hours, consecutive use, and they never bother me like normal headphones or earbuds. Audio quality is not diminished from being bone conductivity headphones either. Charging is fast, about 20, maybe 30 minutes max for a full charge. Best headphones I've ever had. Absolutetly love these and I don't know how I could ever go back to regular headphones after owning Shokz.

I'm giving this 5 stars, but please read the entire review. I was new to bone conduction audio and I've had these headphones now for about a month. I will say this: Privacy is top notch with these headphones for you listening. Why I love these headphones is because of my personal need to listen to a podcast, be on a conference call, or on the phone while maintaining situational awareness.... I need to hear my surroundings since I work alone and often in remote locations. These are PERFECT for my needs. They would be excellent for runners or cyclists who need to stay attentive to their surroundings. They keep working for a full day with no disappointment. The Bluetooth keeps working flawlessly between the TWO devices you can pair to.
If you happen to be an audiophile - this is not the purchase for you. It's not BAD, but if audio quality is your focal point, you should not be looking at this technology to scratch that itch.

Works great!!! Even while walking with heavy road traffic I am able to listen! The Bluetooth connection is quick. Able to raise the volume at the headphone when the volume of iphone is already maxed out. Still able to respond and listen to conversation while in use. Charging is fast and it last a long time. Even when it announces that it is getting low it still last more than any headphone I have had before. Very nice, competitive useful pretty product.

These are great headphones for its purpose: to listen to music/calls/movies in non noisy environments. These are bone transmitting devices; the high frequencies will never make it to your ears, the lows pretty decent, but… this is not a high fidelity device. I would say these are made to listen both surroundings and your phone, but not a quality perfect device. I love being able to connect to Zoom Meetings while I also monitor my house mix. Battery lasts long and microphone is pretty decent as well. The ergonomics make you feel you are not wearing a thing.

Bought these for a friend, but I own a pair of tan ones myself. But these are absolutely amazing headphones compared to traditional wireless headphones! I’ll be honest & say I will forget I have them on, since they’re so comfortable, I’m literally able to wear them all day. The battery can last me all day if I use it at a reasonable volume, but super nice, clear sound & with reasonable bass! Would recommend to a friend, for sure!! 10/10 :) (especially if you can get these on sale!!)

Comfier than the previous version, better battery life, decent sound. Can't say I hear much difference between pro and standard, but I do between the new vs old style. Only mild issue is the proprietary charger. Why didn't you just go with USB-C like 96% of my other devices? Not enough to drop a star, but enough to complain about. I work a 12 hour shift and listen to music 10 of those hours and leave with medium battery. I haven't had it tell me my battery was low yet, so not sure when it will actually die.

I could wear these all day! Comfort, sound, and connection— no notes. It’s a nice option when you want to still be able to hear everything around you but also be zoned in on what you’re listening to. I use them for working out and they never move.

I love this headphones so much. They are great for running. We’re just working out around the house they don’t fall off easily like other headphones I’ve worn they’re super light can still hear things around you which makes them safe. The sound is unbelievably good. I recommend them to all of my friends. The only downside and that’s a really need to picky thing is that they get caught up in my hair, so I always wear them with my hair.

I spent 15 years in the audio industry, and many more as an enthusiast, so I'm not easy to please. But, I wanted to be able to listen to music while cycling so I took a chance on these. My bike rides run 3-6 hours long, so it is nice to have the option of entertainment when I ride alone.
Much of my ride is on public streets, so I need to be able to hear my surroundings. I was willing to listen to mediocre sound in order to be safe.
The OpenRun Pros paired easily with my iPhone 12, so that was a positive. Then, I put them on and streamed Tidal. I burst into a big smile. The sound was impressive! It is not an audiophile experience, but it is every bit as good as when I used to run with a Walkman and Sony earbuds. There is adequate bass, a balanced sound, and they even present a wide soundstage. At the same time, I could hear traffic, riders approaching from behind, barking dogs, and the sound of my bike as gears shifted or the freehub spun. The Shokz were very comfortable, and did not interfere with my helmet.
My ratings are based on the type of product and its intended use. Using that approach, I rated it 5* for sound quality. Compared to my home system, they would probably get 3*, but my home system cannot be taken on a bike ride, and scores very low on portability or battery life. The Shokz OpenRun Pro Premiums are an excellent accessory for running or cycling.

Busy mom with my hands full and constant having to remove an ear bud for some reason or another. these don't interfere with my being able to hear my kids or other things things going on but also don't lose the integrity of great sound quality i forget i have them on sometimes. I can go 2-3 days on one charge. One year in only problem im now experiencing is people saying that i sound off when using them to talk.

I wear these everyday to work. So comfortable I forget they are on sometimes. They sound good under normal environments. If you’re somewhere loud you will have a hard time hearing a podcast or audiobook. But you’re buying these for the comfort and being able to hear things without taking them off and they do that better than anyone else. I hate ear buds that go in your ears, so these are amazing. Also can pair 2 devices at once. Nice feature that is kinda hidden. It’s in the app.

I've had these over a year, and still wear them daily, often all day. They handle multiple devices really well, are comfortable, and the open-ear concept means I can get notifications or hear videos/messages without disturbing anyone. I can even use earplugs with them and still hear, which has been useful at work.
The sound quality is good, though I'm no audiophile. I use them primarily for podcasts, calls/meetings, and mobile games.
Open ear does mean the sound can be overwhelmed by ambient sounds, which is fine for music on a run but can be distracting for podcasts and calls. The shape behind the head is not very comfortable for laying down on your back, but I've worn them to sleep on my side without issue.
