Customers are positive about the sound quality, comfort, battery life, open-ear design, fit, bone conduction, and lightweight features of the OpenRun Pro Premium Bone Conduction Open-Ear Sport Headphones. They appreciate the clear and immersive sound, comfortable and secure fit, long battery life, ability to hear their surroundings, lightweight design, and innovative bone conduction technology.
On the other hand, customers are negative about the volume, bass, price, connectivity, and microphone. They feel the volume could be louder, the bass is lacking, the price is high, the connectivity is unstable, and the microphone could be improved for better call quality.

Everything is ok except while cycling in moderate wind no one can hear me in calls. They hear loud static. Currently talking with support who has admitted this issue and I may have to return them if a fix is not shortly available.

When I tried these in the store, they seemed to have good volume, decent base, and were comfortable and easy to wear.
When I got them home and charged up, the sound was tinny and weak. At maximum volume it was still what I would consider "usable" volume, but the distortion was notable and ruined the sound quality. No matter how I positioned them or attempted to adjust them (I don't think these are actually adjustable at all), the sound quality was only made worse regardless of what I did.
I paid nearly $200 for these and they have the same sound quality as a $30 pair of wired ear buds. Not worth it.
Hi Jim- Shokz here! We're sorry to hear this has been your experience. We highly recommend upgrading to the latest firmware version via the Shokz app for the best experience with your OpenRun Pro 2. There is also a phone setting that may resolve the low volume issue. -On the iPhone, go to Settings > Sound & Haptics > Headphone Safety, make sure that the Reduce Loud Audio Feature is switched off as this will affect the volume of the headphone. -On an Android, go to the Bluetooth Settings on the phone, find the headphone and make sure that the Absolute Volume feature is switched on for it. If you decide these are not a good fit for you, we have a 45-day return window. Please visit our website, click "Support" and "Return Center" to begin a claim. Thank you!

This is my first bone conduction headset, and you quickly learn is that they are a different breed. Even though the OpenRun Pro has enhanced the low-end response, this technology still doesn’t give the same bass as conventional in the ear or on the ear headphones. They are marketed as sport or runner headphones because they are, in fact, a different breed. They are completely open ear which means you still hear and are aware of your environment. That’s a real need for runners, bikers, and those who need to be aware.
So, what about the sound quality? As stated, the bass is adequate but still less than buds and other headphones. However, the midrange and highs are excellent. These frequencies are crisp and clear with zero muddling. Lyrics are easy to hear, and this makes for very pleasant listening. It’s pleasant enough that you easily accept the weaker low end … unless that’s the predominant feature of your music preference. There’s just no pounding bass.
Built quality is top-notch. They are water-resistant but not waterproof. They are very light and comfortable. The only drawback to the behind-the-neck loop is if you are sitting and leaning back against a headrest. But hey, they’re marketed for sports use and not sofa surfing. The controls are simple, tactile, and easy to use. The charging cable does use a proprietary magnetic connection, so if you’re traveling, that means an additional cable to carry along. There’s a protective hard case provided that protects the headphones and has a nice little spot to secure the cable.
The bottom line is that these are a product with specific features tailored to specific uses. If you want complete openness and total awareness of your surroundings, they are a superb choice … perhaps the best in the field.
