Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the sound quality, comfort, battery life, open-ear design, fit, bone conduction, and lightweight features of the OpenRun Pro Premium Bone Conduction Open-Ear Sport Headphones. They appreciate the clear and immersive sound, comfortable and secure fit, long battery life, ability to hear their surroundings, lightweight design, and innovative bone conduction technology. On the other hand, customers are negative about the volume, bass, price, connectivity, and microphone. They feel the volume could be louder, the bass is lacking, the price is high, the connectivity is unstable, and the microphone could be improved for better call quality.

I use these headphones while mountain and road biking so I can still hear my surroundings. As far as the sound quality these headphones are good for what they are intended for. I really enjoy deep base, but these do not produce much. However, like I mentioned above, these are awesome for what I use them for. The build quality is really nice and they have held up to a lot of sweat

Cons: Useless in loud places (unless you are wearing hearing protection) Audible to those around you despite them being bone conduction. Pro: Can participate in Teams meeting and in person meeting at the same time as the headphones do not block the ambient sound. Comfortable to wear all day Battery lasts a long time Won't fall off during exercise Purchased on sale, but even they aren't worth half what I paid. Only worth $50 at most IMO, and only good in certain conditions - noise cancelling earbuds are a better value.

I have waited for wht these Shokz headphones do for years. Headphones hurt my ears. Shokz has done it right with headphones that sit on the temples of your ear. No device in my ear. The sound is excellent. The design is terrific. It fits comfortably. Bluetooth pairing is easy and works smoothly. The unit charges with a usb cable and it is a magnetic connection from headphone to cable. A nice feature indeed. Typical controls on the headphones work smoothly. On/Off and Volume control buttons work well. There is a multi-function button that does just that. It controls several functions by repeated taps. This headphone accepts phone calls and the clarity of the call is very good. Phone sound quality is good on both ends. The charge holds for a good amount of time. Shokz has an app for the headphones, but it is rather basic and really not necessary. For some reason every company thinks they need an app. I really like these headphones. Quality. Great Design. Comfort. Ease of Use. Shokz has a winner here with the OpenRun Pro headphones.

I have a very difficult time finding earphones and headsets that work for me. Ear buds fall out no matter how many size options. Over the ear is uncomfortable and hot. These are heaven! Very comfortable, great sound! I've used for phone calls and friends say that I sound better than when I just talk on my phone! LOVE these!

Nothing is perfect and so is this headphones. However, if you have ever had trouble with tickle ears from using in ears headphones then this one is for you. Besides that, what else is good with headphones. Good battery life, light, decent volume to combat wind noise when walking. What one cannot expect this headphones to do is to produce good sound stage especially when use outside. For me, this headphones is the best to use when exercising outside.

Very comfortable and it does not sit on my ears. This is exactly what I was looking for cause I use it at work and at the gym and I want to be aware of my surroundings. This piece is like a dream to me because my ears are always itchy because of my allergy problems I have so I don’t want to use regular earbuds and have to take them off every second.

Got for my wife...loved 'em so much, got one for myself, and another for a gift. Not audiophile quality, but very good sound while still allowing you to hear what's going on around you. Have been able to keep these on much longer without getting irritating in comparison to other headsets or ear buds.

A friend has raved about these for a while now! I had been an avid earbud user I just have this thing about running and not hearing my breathing. I’m astonished at how amazing the Shokz OpenRun are! The sound quality at first was jarring because my ears have only been accustomed to earbuds or headphones. I’m not a marathon runner but I do love the outdoors. I’ve had my Shokz for about a week’s worth of runs and I have zero complaints. They are loud in a great way and the bass is great (I used my Avicci playlist to test all sorts of audio tones from voice and acoustics). The ProRuns come with the carrying case, charging cable (super cool magnetic technology), and of course the Shokz. My two only disadvantages are that they can’t replace headphones in the gym and the headband isn’t moldable to your head so at first it takes some getting used to. My friend wants me to run a half marathon and these Shokz are going to be the best part of my run, I can tell! Well that and a really great pair of shoes!

These headphones far exceeded my expectations. I wish I had gotten a pair a long time ago. When I go for my long walks, I hear the music clearly as well as traffic and other things around me. Also, while doing things around the house, I can have a conversation while still hearing my music. The sound quality isn’t as good as a pair of earbuds I own, but it is excellent. Definitely worth the money in my opinion!

I bought these as a Christmas gift for my husband. He was looking for something that was comfortable to wear but allowed him some ability to safely hear what was going on around him too. These are great because they stay on, produce great sound, and were easy to connect. A bit bigger than earbuds that don’t have the headband but still quite portable. Provided case makes it easy to carry.

    Great for Tinnitus sufferers!

I suffer from severe ringing in the ears (Tinnitus), and have tried several other headphone designs to try to give my brain something else to focus on, but everything was just too occlusive. I drive a paratransit bus for a living, and must be able to communicate with my riders as well as hear what is going on around the vehicle. Apple AirPods Pro 2 was the closest that I got, but even though they have the transparency mode, it is still very electronic sounding, and frankly, its too distracting when you driving and they keep falling out. I tried a cheap pair of Bone Conduction headphones and was impressed by how well I could hear, and still hear my music. However, this pair (ONN Brand) had dismal battery life, and NO bass at all. I did research to find the best out there and settled on the Shook OpenRun Pro. I am very impressed with them! Although the bass is not 'thumping', you can clearly hear the bass of a song, and it mixes very well with mids and treble to give a well rounded sound. The battery life has been amazing! The description says battery life of up to 10 hours, and I figured that was probably at the lowest setting, but I was wrong. My shifts are 10 hours long, and I usually finish the shift and the battery is still at around 35%, listening at mid to middle high volume. This is awesome as I don't have to worry about having a changing cable with me. These seriously last me all day! These are not a cure for my Tinnitus, but they are sure a big help by distracting my brain. In quiet settings, I can listen to any number of apps that provide Tinnitus masking sounds and this in itself is a Godsend. I cannot think of anything I would change, other than it would be nice if they would slightly amplify my surroundings as I have trouble hearing some voices on the bus. Other than that, perfect 10! Thank you Shokz!

    Love Them With One Problem

This is the second pair I’ve bought (the first was when they were called Aftershokz). I bought both from Amazon. The volume of the second second pair isn’t as loud as the first pair, but I wouldn’t call that a deal-breaker. Both are lightweight and comfortable. The top end versions I have last a long time and charge quickly. The only problem I’ve had is the speakers detaching inside the headphones and rattling. I can shake the headphones and hear the rattle. This is a common issue with these. If the folks at Shokz get this corrected, this would be great. I wear them everywhere, even in some noizy environments! They are the best bone conduction headphones I’ve worn so far.

Have been buying these for years. My first pair were before they changed the name. They lasted a long time and Ive loved them and wanted a second pair just in case. I recommend these to everyone because you can listen to whatever you want but still hear your surroundings. To me thats a big deal because when my kids are waking home, they need to be aware of their surroundings.
