Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the sound quality, comfort, battery life, open-ear design, fit, bone conduction, and lightweight features of the OpenRun Pro Premium Bone Conduction Open-Ear Sport Headphones. They appreciate the clear and immersive sound, comfortable and secure fit, long battery life, ability to hear their surroundings, lightweight design, and innovative bone conduction technology. On the other hand, customers are negative about the volume, bass, price, connectivity, and microphone. They feel the volume could be louder, the bass is lacking, the price is high, the connectivity is unstable, and the microphone could be improved for better call quality.

Bought these for my wife. She’s 4’11 so I was curious if she needed these or the smaller version. They fit her ok but are a little loose. Shes still able to run no problem and they stay in place for the most part. PROS: nothing in-ear, really cant hear the audio if you aren’t wearing them, phone calling works well, and battery life is good. CONS: sound quality isnt the best, not adjustable, and the charging cable is proprietary (better keep it with you in case the battery dies).

I would have given these headphones a higher rating but less than a year into owning and using these, the left side no longer works. I mainly use these headphones on my runs and they worked great initially until the left side's volume started to slowly degrade over time. I submitted a warranty claim to Shokz so hopefully I can get a replacement but be aware that the build quality on these is less than desirable. My Apple airpods will do for now.. The sound quality is okay for bone conduction headphones but don't expect to get a lot of good bass from normal earphones. Also, I didn't know this until using the earphones a lot but the earphones after a certain volume will start rattling quite a bit if you set the volume too high.

Best you can get for the price. Not the loudest but if you like to pay attention to your surroundings and jam out they’re perfect.

Awesome, able to hear other noises (hazards) when using, also great at work. I can use with earplug hearing protection when employer’s won’t allow noise canceling as protection

Definitely a YUUUUUGE improvement in the bass / sound quality department over the previous Aftershocks. The sound is pretty impressive for something that doesn’t actually cover your ears or go inside your ears. I also liked the teal color. For $179 they should provide a spare charger, as this charger is not a typical USB-C charger or USB-A charger than you have laying around the house. It’s magnetic which is nice, but again, if you lose the charger you have a problem.

I decided to try these because I use earbuds every day and felt like it gave me ear problems, these are much more comfortable and have a really long range! They're very convenient to use since you can still hear your surroundings and have conversations. They aren't quite as loud as my earbuds, but overall I'm extremely pleased. Highly recommended.

Bought these solely for the use in wearing in bed as a side sleeper because there are no earphone either over-the-ear or in-ear headphones that are comfortable. These do the job for that purpose. Only con is that if used for other traditional purposes, they do not get very enough for my liking

These are not bone conducting. Theyre just small soeakers right next to your ears. I had an older model from this brand that were actually bone conducting and i could hear everything around me while listening yo music. With bone conduction you can stick earplugs in and still hear the audio perfectly. Not with these. The EQ is lousy too. The bass is too much and just makes my ears itch. These were may more expensive and way less functional as far as im concerned. The fit is better however and i do appreciate the fast charge.

    • Brand response from AfterShokz
      Posted .

Hi there- Shokz here! We're sorry to hear this has been your experience and we greatly appreciate your feedback. Bone conduction technology converts sound into mechanical vibrations transmitted through the skin and temporal bone to the cochlea, bypassing traditional air conduction transmitters like the external auditory canal or eardrum. We highly recommend updating to the latest firmware version via the Shokz app. You can also customize your listening experience via the app. If you decide these are not a good fit for you, we kindly ask that you reach out to BestBuy directly to learn of their return policy. Thanks! AfterShokzCHT

I can't say that these are the best, because these are my first and only pair of open ear headphones, but I do think that they are awesome. The sound and build quality are great while keeping my ears open to my surroundings. I still use my in-ear headphones while mowing and weed eating though.
