Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the sound quality, comfort, battery life, open-ear design, fit, bone conduction, and lightweight features of the OpenRun Pro Premium Bone Conduction Open-Ear Sport Headphones. They appreciate the clear and immersive sound, comfortable and secure fit, long battery life, ability to hear their surroundings, lightweight design, and innovative bone conduction technology. On the other hand, customers are negative about the volume, bass, price, connectivity, and microphone. They feel the volume could be louder, the bass is lacking, the price is high, the connectivity is unstable, and the microphone could be improved for better call quality.

    Perfect "new style" headphones

I was interested in this style for awhile. The one thing I hate about todays headphones is they block out exterior noise so well I cant hear anything going on around me. While working out or running, I don't like that I cant hear cars and traffic, other people trying to get my attention, etc. This pair of headphones solves that! I can hear people and cars, have conversations, and never miss a beat while wearing these. I actually have found myself wearing these more and more around the house while doing dishes, chores, etc... this way I can still enjoy the music or podcast I'm listening to but still hear my family while in the house or doing yardwork. I've only charged these once, and its still reading medium battery life. I'm impressed with that because I've been using these for over 3 weeks. The music and voices in podcasts sound really good to me! I'm used to wearing some very nice and very expensive headphones and have tried everything from JLab to Sony to Bose, so I know what to expect. The advantage of these is the ability to hear your surroundings. I wouldn't wear these on my upcoming flight, or while mowing the lawn as the exterior noise would drown out the audio.... but while working out, doing chores, or in the house I will choose these every time!

    Shokz Compared

I own both the pro version and air version (earlier version). The air has better sound on the bike with wind. The only thing the pro version has better is a magnetic charging connection. I have been able to run in pretty heavy rain with the air version and as long as you give it time to dry out, no problem. Not tried the pro in rain yet. Either is great for running and bike. Don't think the pro is worth paying much more for. I got a good price. Shokz has great warranty service. Highly recommend. I have used the warranty once . Very satisfied. Used for years. Comfortable and you don't have to be bothered with in the ear phones falling out etc. That said, the sound from $26 sony wired headband in earr phones have better sound but not good with sweat rain or on the bike.

I think these are good headphones. I used them when working out at the gym and they stay on while running and I can hear my audio clearly. The only drawback is the vibrations when listening to heavy bass. But works well with podcasts and I can hear my surroundings. I would recommend.

I love Shokz for the ability to hear what's around me and carry on a conversation or listen to music without having to do more than press a button. My husband likes that I can hear him when I wear them around the house. They fit nicely over the ear (even with sunglasses on) and hold a charge well. My only complaint is I wish the volume were louder. On a busy road it's harder to hear (but perhaps that is limited on purpose for ear safety). I still use regular earbuds for when I need no outside noise (eg, in the car when the radio is on for others to enjoy but I want to listen to something else).

I wanted to give this a chance, but it wasn’t very loud. I’m in my work truck all day, and I was trying to find a alternative to my Apple AirPods, but they just were not loud enough.

i love these things so much i am a first responder so i cant have in ear buds with this it allows me to still have total awareness of my surroundings and have background noise. even using it to talk on phone is great no complaints about volume or clarity on calls. battery lastest a long time as well i can have them on and not use them all day and get home to charge and they are still at 80 percent. word of advice if your looking for listening to loud music these arent it since they dnt cover the ears there is alot of outside noise if your looking for noise canceling these arent it but if your looking for background noise well still being able to have conversations id definitely recommend

This latest open-ear headphone is a significant advance compared to previous versions. It’s much more comfortable and has double or better battery life. The stated battery life is 10 hours, and a 10-minute quick charge will result in 1.5 hours charge. It has an IP55 rating which means it the headphones are water and dust resistant. So, their use won’t be affected by “sweat”, rain or dust but they aren’t designed to swimming or showering. There are added bass enhancers, and you can really tell the difference with low range sounds. In the accompanying app you can switch the EQ mode between “standard” for listening to music or “vocal” for audiobooks or podcasts. There are dual noise cancelling microphones, and they’ve worked flawlessly as a work headset with very clear audio. The app also provides the option to be connected to 1 or 2 devices at once. Previous models suggested you use ear plugs in noisy surroundings, but I haven’t needed to do that with this unit. The headphones will provide an audio and visual alert if you try to charge them when wet. A carrying case and proprietary charging cable are included! You can not charge these with a standard micro-USB or USB-C cable.

Lets start this with saying that my absolute favorite pair of bluetooth headphones are last year's model of these when they were called "AfterShokz". In my job I have to listen for the phone, my surroundings, as well as a two-way radio, but I also like to listen to music throughout the day. These allow me to do all these things without one drowning out the other, as well as sounding fantastic while on the phone! Coming from last year's model, these do sound only the slightest amount more heavy on the bass, and the battery life seems to improve daily, so I'm figuring after the first week it will be on par with the battery life of last year's model. What do I absolutely love about them? Almost zero weight. Total auditory situational awareness. The ability to use them on the phone and still being able to hear everything else around me. What's the hate about them? Not much really! Only reason I'm giving a 4 instead of 5 was these were touted to have much more bass and treble , when in reality it's a hair more bass but no more treble (at least to me). Would I still recommend them? ALL...DAY...LONG...!

I run regularly and I moved to an area with amazing hiking about a year ago so I've been in the processing of trying to do that more regularly too. I love being outside when I'm exercising and part of that is being able to hear birds and cars (to avoid accidents when I'm running) and all of that beautiful noise is blocked when I put ear buds into my ears (also I'm completely paranoid that they are going to fall out when I'm running and I'll never see the things again)... So, I say all of that to say that these are EXACTLY what someone like me needs! I am able to listen to music or listen to a podcast while still feeling like I'm experiencing the world around me! And the fit allows me to concentrate more on my footfalls for safety rather than losing an earbud so I can truly enjoy getting out and moving!

These are the most marvelous headphones I have ever used. Highly reccommended. I’m a musician, and ear health is so important to me. These feel so comfortable (in fact I hardly notice that I am wearing them), and the bone conduction means that no sound is harming my ears! If you are thinking about trying them, do it! Absolutely amazing.

I really like the concept behind these headphones, but I had some issues with the fit. I don't like how earbuds dig into your ear, and I get claustrophobic having the bigger headphones covering up my ears. I thought that these would be a good alternative. Unfortunately, you can't adjust the fit of these headphones at all. In my case, that meant that I had the back loop banging against my neck as I moved and a slight pinching sensation where the conductive elements pressed against my head. Neither issue was particularly painful, or even all that uncomfortable, but it was distracting. The headphones also charge using a proprietary charging cable. I don't know what I'll do if I end up misplacing it. Sound quality was pretty good. These headphones lack bass, but I found the sound to be quite reasonable over all.

    They’re Okay

For practicality purposes, these headphones are the best on the market. They are super comfortable and lightweight, have an outstanding battery life, easy to pair, and have many other great qualities. But… the audio quality was extremely poor for the price tag. I am really particular about how I like my music to sound, but I have owned better sounding headphones that I bought from a gas station. If the quality of sound is not something thats extremely important to you, you could not find a better set of headphones. I just had to return the ones I bought because I could not get past the distortion and low bass response.

After trying another brand that was similar in design these are so much better. The fit for the size of my husbands head was much better. The sound and quality of the microphone was a much better improvement as well! Super excited to use these more and more throughout the days while working.

    Bone Induction done pretty well!

Suprising good open headset! For a bone induction set. Yes the base is basically non existant but the clarity is pretty well done. I was suprised by the clarity! If you have your volume pumped up, a person next to you can hear some noise, but not the lyrics. The headset comes with a case!! I love when companies do this. A carrying case is always welcomed rather than just stuffing it in ones pocket. The use of this headset is pretty explanatory, but comes with a learning curve when using it's button and and volume rocker. They do work, but not intuitive. The only negative is that if you have thick hair like my wife, this headset needs to be worn under ones hair to comfortably wear the headset as intended. Keep that in mind. Wearing with glasses is fine and doesn't get in the way. I recommend this if you are looking for an open eared headset. But if you are looking for bass in your music, these are definately not for you.
