    Great headphones, could be louder.

These headphones have great sound quality and hold a charge well. I like that my ears are open to the world so that I can be more aware of my surroundings. That said, I find that sometimes they aren't loud enough. If I'm riding my bike and listening to a podcast, the wind noise in me ears frequently overpowers the volume of the headphones. My only other complaint is that, because the headphones have a rigid shape, the case for them is necessarily large. It fits in a bag well, but they're not the sort of thing you can just keep in a pocket. The case is well constructed and protects the device well though!

My Shokz are very comfortable. The best part they are not inside my ears and do not fall off when I’m exercising! Cons: would only be adjusting the volume sounds low sometimes.

So i researched the absolute crap out of trying to find something that i could use to perform sound isolation meditation therapy on myself. Now i read review after review, indicating bone conduction audio would not be interrupted by water. Looked at these, they are marketed to you as water proof. They are and are not at the same time. When submerged into a pool, as advertised with the swimmer wearing them while doing laps. They cut in and out, the sound quality turns to pure feces. Tried cranking the volume down to minimum, still skips while playing and now can barely be heard. Kind of disappointed that i can use them as they were advertised to me. The way they are water proof they continued to work after being submerged. I still dig this headphones, i can be in my world without having to block my ears. However, real talk, from medium to high volume, you cant hear anyone speaking words to you.

I love this item I can keep it on at work and no one notices it's on me and I'm still able to hear everybody else around me. The only thing is when I start a machine I have to put it on Max volume. The machine I use is a high speed furniture I am a custodian.

I’ve been curious about these for a long time but i was nervous spending so much on an unfamiliar technology. They were deeply discounted recently and I got them. Im glad i did. Im glad I got a good price, but i think they’re worth more than I paid. They sound great, but most importnatly to me, they fit great. I wear them when I take my dog for walks, grocery shopping and when I ride my bike. They’re so comfortable, I often forget I have them on after a walk and only remember when i go to adjust my hair and feel them. Calls sound great, BT connection is solid, battery life is great. The controls are simple and easy to find and operate while wearing. I have just a couple things i wish were better, but these are very minor issues. I wish they turned off automatically after being idle for a long time, they could be a smidge louder, and I’d like a less bulky case with a built in charger. Although, the battery lasts so long that i havent needed to charge them often and having the charger separate allows for using a different case. They do have a new version that are two separate pieces more like traditional earbuds, but I actually like that these are connected becasue it makes them super securely attached to my head. Speaking of my head, its a big one and these fit no problem. I love these and they’ve quickly become my main set of headphones.

    Love Them With One Problem

    Posted .

This is the second pair I’ve bought (the first was when they were called Aftershokz). I bought both from Amazon. The volume of the second second pair isn’t as loud as the first pair, but I wouldn’t call that a deal-breaker. Both are lightweight and comfortable. The top end versions I have last a long time and charge quickly. The only problem I’ve had is the speakers detaching inside the headphones and rattling. I can shake the headphones and hear the rattle. This is a common issue with these. If the folks at Shokz get this corrected, this would be great. I wear them everywhere, even in some noizy environments! They are the best bone conduction headphones I’ve worn so far.

Pretty quiet but suitable for the gym

Let me begin this review by stating I purchased these solely for gym use. They are NOT my “go-to” headphones for supreme sound quality and immersion. For quality, these are sufficient but nowhere near premium. And that was ok with me. These headphones are phenomenal for what I wanted. They stay firmly attached to my head while I jog. They are so comfortable that I often forget I am wearing them. I enjoy listening to podcasts and music. These have a lot more bass than what I expected! The sound quality is satisfactory and I am confident when I wear them that I am not disturbing others around me, even when the volume on the device is turned up all the way (as it usually is because these are somewhat quiet). It is a unique feeling to be able to listen to music while being able to have a conversation with the person next to you. To that end, it is quite wonderful and I can maintain awareness of my surroundings while using them. In closing, if you are considering getting these for sport purposes, DO IT. They are worth it. If you want something with more premium features and quality, keep looking.

I Like These, But I Want More Volume

I like the product. The batteries last a long time. It is comfortable to wear. The weakest point is the max volume is not very loud. It's just barely loud enough in some situations. Of course the sound quality isn't anything super amazing, but it's fine for the price and what you would expect for this sort of audio device. I use it to listen to audiobooks and YouTube videos mostly. So I don't mind the sound quality anyway. I would like it to have a little more volume sometimes though.

So I purchased these for my mom as a gift, but I still had to check them out since I am at work conferences a lot. The color is beautiful and the lok attractive, they have a matte finish which makes them look very professional. Sound: The sound is pretty good. Only on the highest volume I could hear a bit of crackling, but I mean who wants to always max out the sound. I was surprised people around you won’t hear what you’re listening to. Fit: So they are very flexible around the ear and adjustable. My only struggle was that the loop that goes around your head/neck was too big. So if I wanted to lean on my work chair I could not do it without noticing the headphones. They have a smaller size though, which I did not know of this when I got them. It’d be great if they were adjustable. Calls: nothing to complain, I think it is great because you can still hear your surroundings. Specially, if you are in a work area where you’d like to hear yourself when talking on the phone. If you are in an environment that is very loud it will be hard to hear even at max volume. Another point to highlight the headphones do not catch every single noise around you, so people on the other side could you clearly. I did not use them for exercising at all, so I wouldn’t know how the behave there. Connectivity: Was very easy and quick. It is also possible to switch devices without it getting hung up or anything. One to to highlight was that is that because they are on you ear they help with reducing ear inflammation like the in ear headphones give. Overall, I think they are a great purchase especially if you’re working from home. I would recommend to people and just suggest to check they size.

Excellent for athletes, otherwise not as much

For athletes these are one of the best options available. There is a lot to like here. There is literally no risk of losing your buds. They're comfortable and fit well. You can hear and enjoy the music. Battery life is good. When they're connected they're connected. And it does allow you to hear oncoming traffic and your surroundings. If you work out, this is for you. I knock them down a star because they're not loud enough (although that may be by design) even in relatively quiet environs. The sound quality also is not the best, it could be better. They use a proprietary charger which, while not hard to find online, is proprietary nonetheless. Also I had problems with the microphone in calls more than a few times. And mowing the lawn they couldn't out power the mower. Even if you're an athlete, these are factors to consider. If you're an athlete or work out a lot this is one of the very best options out there. If not, look elsewhere.

Not blown away by them but they perform the job i needed. Only complaints is the volume doesnt go high enough and voice (podcasts) tend to be a little on the quiet side. Voices become drowned out if there is moderate traffic noise. The proprietary charging interface is not a nice feature. If you lose the cord you are SOL. They are very comfortable but id say price is a bit high for what you get.

    Definition of Greatness without limitation

My bone conduction headset is fantastic! Yes it isn't super loud and if you walk into a very loud environment it will combat the volume, but nothing replaces the easy to wear nature of these headsets. They don't bother my ears, i I no longer get earwax build up like with earbud tips, I no longer get aches in my ear canals, and the best part: I feel like i gained an extra set of ears by hearing both my music and those around me!

My fav headphones for phone calls.

These are great. Everyone says my voice sounds the best compared to other headsets, my phone, or my speaker phone. Calls a clear. If there is background noise it’s hard to hear. Sometimes just highway noise does it. But the idea is to hear your surroundings. They are great for calls. Not the best for music. I have them turned all the way up most of the time. I’m under the belief that the wires run through the back side headset wrap thing. So I don’t have to worry about the Bluetooth signal going from one earbud to the other straight through my head. That will scramble your brains. Don’t get the separate buds !!! These are the best for phone calls. They suck if you like to wear hats or put your head against the headrest in your car because of the wire thing around the back. But you get used to adjusting it. Not good for music. No base. Not loud.

I never really like ear bud due to them bothering my ears, so thes are great, since their not in my ear and wrap around my ear. Its nice also if im walking i can still listen to music and still be aware of my surroundings, or if someone is talking. Everyone ive talked to with the built in mic says it sounds great. The only downer is their not super loud, but it ok for me cause i dont need them that loud.

The headphones are a good purchase. The battery last a good while. The are comfortable and lightweight to wear when running or just around town. The only drawback, I wish they would get a little louder. Overall, great pair of headphones and interested to see how they continue to improve on this type of technology in the future.

Was a bit skeptical first, but wanted give it a try. Sound is not comparable with other earbuds with/without active noise cancellation, but I was really surprised when I plugged my ears while using it, because that is when I first understood the bone conduction concept. Not ideal for noisy environment, because there is limitation on volume via bone conduction. Good in-office conference call device, and mics are of good sound quality. Multi device pairing has connectivity issues, where while using it with PC, it keeps connecting with the phone with ‘connected’ announcement. I turned off multi pairing mode, with the hope that with next update, this would have improved. Battery life is great. I can go all day using this without worrying about charging.
