Customers are positive about the sound quality, comfort, battery life, open-ear design, fit, bone conduction, and lightweight features of the OpenRun Pro Premium Bone Conduction Open-Ear Sport Headphones. They appreciate the clear and immersive sound, comfortable and secure fit, long battery life, ability to hear their surroundings, lightweight design, and innovative bone conduction technology. On the other hand, customers are negative about the volume, bass, price, connectivity, and microphone. They feel the volume could be louder, the bass is lacking, the price is high, the connectivity is unstable, and the microphone could be improved for better call quality.

Shokz Compared
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own both the pro version and air version (earlier version). The air has better sound on the bike with wind. The only thing the pro version has better is a magnetic charging connection. I have been able to run in pretty heavy rain with the air version and as long as you give it time to dry out, no problem. Not tried the pro in rain yet. Either is great for running and bike. Don't think the pro is worth paying much more for. I got a good price. Shokz has great warranty service. Highly recommend. I have used the warranty once . Very satisfied. Used for years. Comfortable and you don't have to be bothered with in the ear phones falling out etc. That said, the sound from $26 sony wired headband in earr phones have better sound but not good with sweat rain or on the bike.

Everyone needs a pair of Shokz!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love Shokz for the ability to hear what's around me and carry on a conversation or listen to music without having to do more than press a button. My husband likes that I can hear him when I wear them around the house. They fit nicely over the ear (even with sunglasses on) and hold a charge well. My only complaint is I wish the volume were louder. On a busy road it's harder to hear (but perhaps that is limited on purpose for ear safety). I still use regular earbuds for when I need no outside noise (eg, in the car when the radio is on for others to enjoy but I want to listen to something else).

THE BEST!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are the most marvelous headphones I have ever used. Highly reccommended. I’m a musician, and ear health is so important to me. These feel so comfortable (in fact I hardly notice that I am wearing them), and the bone conduction means that no sound is harming my ears! If you are thinking about trying them, do it! Absolutely amazing.

So much better than others!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After trying another brand that was similar in design these are so much better. The fit for the size of my husbands head was much better. The sound and quality of the microphone was a much better improvement as well! Super excited to use these more and more throughout the days while working.

Shokz
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had these for a couple months now. I enjoy the sound and the way they fit around my ear. The ONLY negative thing is that the piece that goes around my neck is too big. It gets caught my on hair, my clips my clothes etc

Not loud at all
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to give this a chance, but it wasn’t very loud. I’m in my work truck all day, and I was trying to find a alternative to my Apple AirPods, but they just were not loud enough.

Works Great for Cycling, Long Battery Life
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shokz OpenRun Pro bone conduction headphones certainly have some nice features for sport headphones. However, everyone has different preferences for headphones, so I’ll discuss what I did and did not like, knowing that others may view the headphones differently based on their preferences. The headphones are very lightweight and sit comfortably on the ear. I’ve worn them for several hours at a time and they don’t feel heavy or awkward. They have enough flexibility for both larger and smaller heads, and that flexibility also allows me to put them on and take them off easily. Having the back portion of the headphone sitting low on the neck allows me to wear my cycling helmet without any issue or discomfort. I was not happy to see the proprietary USB charging cable. The charging cable has a magnetic connection to the headphones, not a microUSB or USB-C connection. So now I have to carry around yet another cable to charge this device, along with the risk of what I do if I lose the cable or it stops working. However, the connection is quite secure, and charging is faster than expected. The included case stores the headphones well and has an elastic holder for the charging cable. The case will easily fit in a backpack, and has enough structure to not get crushed—potentially damaging the headphones. This is my first experience with bone conduction sound. I personally find the technology quite innovative. As a cyclist, having my ears open instead of plugged (with earbuds) helps me stay much more aware of my immediate surroundings, and even allows me to have a conversation with my buddies, as long as the volume isn’t too loud. Music played through the headphones is adequate, but not spectacular. While the treble range and strength is good, bass is somewhat lacking. Podcasts and phone conversations were very crisp and had no distortion. The microphone works very well at a normal voice level. After using the headphones for several days, I understand why Shokx did not want to overdo the bass response. I found that when I had the volume a bit higher, a bassy male voice or bass-heavy music allows me to feel the vibration in my cheekbones. Turning down the volume one or two notches takes that sensation away. I would not want that sensation all the time. Do yourself a favor and don’t even bother downloading the Shokx app on your phone. I have an iPhone 11 and the app is buggy and useless. The pairing function in the app crashed several times, and the multi-pairing function in the app did not work at all. In addition, I was hoping for a dedicated equalizer in the app, but instead there is just a generic “music” and “voice.” While the app might be useful for firmware updates, I decided to pass on the app entirely. Pairing was easy using the included quick start card, but for multi-point pairing, I downloaded the manual from the internet and followed the detailed instructions, which worked very well. I have the headphones multi-linked to my phone and laptop. The headphones pick up the signal from one or the other when appropriate. Initiate a phone call, they connect to my phone. Move on to a meeting, and they pick up my laptop. Then go back to listening to a podcast, they go right back to the phone. An excellent feature. The volume buttons have good tactile feel, and are reasonably easy to locate even with cycling gloves on. The multi-function button does not have the same tactile feel as the volume buttons, but is also easy to locate both with and without cycling gloves. You need to be deliberate with double-presses (to advance music tracks), otherwise the headphones register it as two single presses. It just takes some getting used to. Locate the button, then tap, tap in quick succession. An audible beep indicates you did what you intended. A long hold of the multi-function button did activate Siri, which is always a nice feature to have, especially if I get a text message while on the bike and I don’t want to pull over to read it on my phone (and perhaps respond). Battery life was about 10 hours, as advertised. Very nice. I know I’ve provided a lot of information about the Shokx OpenRun Pro headsets. Overall, I like them. Having an open ear is very important to me, and when I’m on my bike, great bass response is not really my highest priority. I want headphones that are light, comfortable for long rides, easy to operate, have Siri functionality, play music with enjoyable quality and clarity, and last my entire ride. These fit the bill for me.

Shokz IYKYK
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best headphones for work & home. At work you can still communicate with your coworkers (the ones you want to anyway) with the press of a button (pause) by them simply speaking to you versus hand waving to get your attention with regular headphones. At home as a parent you can listen to your audiobooks, podcasts and the likes without having to worry about what your kiddo is up to, and especially when they’re quiet and knowing they’re up to no good. There are other bone conducting headphones out there but you will get what you pay for. Buy once, cry once.

10/10* reccomend!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing for open ear listening. I’ve tried plenty of earbuds, but these have such an amazing battery life that I can wear them everyday, all day and just charge at night. Most days they’re on standby don’t even drain the battery half way. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for an open ear that doesn’t go in the ear canal. Multipoint works great, sometimes if you get close to your second connected device, it will beep, but it doesn’t change your audio until you play something on your other device.
