Customers appreciate the OpenRun Wireless Headphones for their decent sound quality, comfortable fit, and insane battery life. Many users also find them lightweight and value their water resistance and easy Bluetooth connectivity. While the bass may be somewhat lacking for some, and there may be some buzzing at high volume, the price is the biggest drawback mentioned.

Would recommend, batteries don't last long as advertised 2 hours max, sound is good low but high it gets muffled but half away is great can hear what's going on around me, if you have a big head its hard fitting comfortablly.

Great Concept for comfort, but the mic is lacking horribly. I had to just use the device to workout only. But to hold a conversation is horrible, as no one can understand what I’m saying, due to sounding muffled.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Suppose to have a 2 year manufacturing warranty and they do not stand by product. Cutting out and shutting off automatically. Issue less than 1 year old
Should have bought product from different business, one that stands behind the products they sell.

These surprised me big time impressions have been very good. Sound quality is clear I can hear instruments/vocals like regular earbuds and I actually prefer the sound as it's more spatial versus regular earbuds. Some bass is lost through vibrations but that's to be expected considering it's going through flesh/bone. Super comfortable... I actually forget I have them on at times I can go 6hrs with them on with no complaints.
These crank pretty high in volume anyone that says their not loud enough has other hearing issues or is standing next to loud machinery. Only noticable sound vibrations come at last two volume settings that are very loud which I don't even use. The audible audrey voice notification is nice, she voices out the status of the battery/pairing etc. neat feature.
Call quality is excellent I can hear people fine and people who talk to me don't realize I'm using a bone conduction headset. Bluetooth has been flawless no disconnects I've been using mostly spotify they seem to have a 20ft bluetooth range using a lg phone.
Battery wise I much prefer the magnetic charging port over conventional usb c etc. it snaps together by itself when in proximity. Does away with the worry of damaging ports from plugging in power connections over and over. Charges fast under 2hrs full charge and does seem to hold up to the 8hr advertised use maybe more with different volumes.
Overall good tech for the price although my nitpick is it's best to get a sturdier case for travel they can be found for around 10$ the silicon case they come with doesn't do much to protect the headset.

For the audiophiles first. Go buy something else. This is not for you. Audio quality is good, not great by any means, however I don't believe that is the purpose here. For the last 25 years I have not had hearing in my right ear due to a surgery. The first time I played a song with these headphones my mind was blown. I can actually hear sound out of an ear I am deaf in. Now this may or may not be you, but I highly recommend finding out. The fit is snug, but not tight. It is NOT comfortable laying down in and you cannot adjust the band. I have not run with them yet, but don't see how that will be an issue as they weigh next to nothing. Seriously, this headset feels the same weight as ONE of my Galaxy buds. Charging time is slow but thankfully they come with two chargers. I leave one at home and one at my office. I also ran them for 5 hours yesterday and am still sitting at 60% battery. Overall they are very well built, very well designed as well. Only gripe is that I wish the headband were adjustable, but I understand why it is not. The pressure on your cheekbone needs to be just right for these to work. All in all I am super happy and looking forward to what this company does next.

First off, this sounds incredible for a bone conduction headset. Mids and highs are amazing and crisp, and voice is perfect. It's very comfortable for long periods, has a decent 8 hour charge, and is water/sweatproof.
On the other hand, no bone conduction headset is going to sound as good as a good headset or earbuds - the sound is going through your flesh and bone to get to the inner ear, and bass is dampened. I estimate this gets down to 40Hz instead of 20Hz like most headphones (really good ones will do 5-6Hz).
But, for that tradeoff, you get to hear what's going on all around you, which is fantastic if you're biking, walking, or running and you don't want to be one of those completely oblivious twits. You can hear that car coming, or even another bike. It's also much more comfortable than a headset or earpods - it just sits over your ears, like glasses, so you don't need to worry about sweat and fatigue.
I wear these all the time while walking and biking - I just boost the bass on my phone equalizer, which helps quite a bit, and accept the remaining bass loss just because these are simply the best thing you can use outside.

I have had openrun for 2 years and have family and friends who have them and all but one are satisfied. One wanted to get the mini instead of regular. Good sound, volume, quality, a little slow to charge imo. Lasts 8-10 hours depending on volume. Great over the ear Bluetooth headset. Good water protection, comfortable, and will buy again when they eventually break.

Knowing what you are getting yourself into is important. I went to a local Best Buy and tried on a showroom model of the AfterShokz Aeropex. I was amazed by the sound considering the bass limitations of the bone conduction technology, but had previously heard that earplugs help. Indeed they do, and the Aeropex come with a pair of earplugs as well, but I don't use them most of the time. My decision to go with bone conduction headphones was due to the discomfort I experience when having earbuds in my ears for an extended period of time. My ears also get sweaty with over ear headphones when I wear them for an extended period of time. I wanted to also be able to hear conversations around me. These headphones are perfect for the gym, running, or wearing all day. I often forget I am wearing them, which would never happen with over ear headphones or earbuds. They stay in place very well (I have used them while exercising to great satisfaction) and are comfortable even while lying down. I have been surprised by the battery life, and the upgraded model is well worth the cost, as the battery will last longer with charge cycles 2 hours longer than the next lower model, the Titanium Air. The Aeropex are sturdy, handle sweat well, and utilize the latest Bluetooth technology, Bluetooth 5.0. This means my phone can stay connected to both the headphones and my car audio and switch back and forth seamlessly when I turn my car on and off without my need to manually intervene. So far I am very impressed, but my real satisfaction will come once I know how long before the battery can no longer take a charge (hopefully not for a very long time). Be prepared to shell out some additional cash for the accidental damage protection offered by Best Buy. The only reason I would go with over ear headphones is if I was an high fidelity enthusiast where the absolute best sound and noise cancelling technology was more important to me than versatility and comfort.

The sound of these headphones Is nice. I use them while out walking so I stay aware of my surroundings. Passing cars will be louder than the headphones but I think that is the point. The comfort is great. They are lightweight and will fit various head sizes even my large cranium. They also work great with people that wear glasses or people that don’t want headphones in or over there ears. They connect easily via Bluetooth and the included charging cable has magnetic connection to charge. They have a rubberized coating and are great for working out sweating rainy conditions.

I’ve owned the Shokz OpenRun since November 2023, and I’ve used them almost every single day—usually 6–8 hours outdoors while working. They’ve quickly become one of my all-time favorite pieces of tech.
I originally bought them because I work outside and needed something that wouldn’t block my hearing. These let me stay fully aware of my surroundings while still listening to podcasts, music, or taking phone calls. The sound is surprisingly clear for bone conduction, much better than I expected, and the open-ear design makes them incredibly safe when you need to stay alert.
Battery life is fantastic—easily lasts all day and recharges quickly. Phone call quality is solid, and switching between audio sources is seamless.
After about a year and a half of heavy, everyday use, the left spine snapped in the middle, so it no longer keeps tight against my ear. They still work, but the sound isn’t as crisp because the pressure against my temple isn’t there anymore. Honestly, though, considering how hard I use them, I can’t complain too much.
Because I liked these so much, I just upgraded to the OpenRun 2 Mini, and from what I can tell, the sound is even better.
If you listen to audio while staying active or working outside, I HIGHLY recommend these. Comfort, awareness, sound quality, and battery life all come together perfectly. I’d absolutely buy them again.

I've had these and the two other models of Trekz bone conduction headphones. These, by far, are the best of the group. They are so lightweight. They never hurt my head or ears. The sound quality has dramatically improved over the last ones. Battery life is excellent. Someone somewhere mentioned they didn't like the magnetic charger, but I love it. My headphones have never fallen off of it. Not sure how that would happen unless you knocked them off. It comes with two chargers, which is nice. I keep one in my purse and one at home. Of the three models, I would not but the titanium at all, and if you can afford these, this is what you should get because of the sound quality compare to the model just below this one. I don't regret anything about this purchase. Super happy with them. I'll try not to take them off in public bathrooms and accidentally leave them there since that's what happened to my previous set. Oops, but that tells you how lightweight they really are.
