I had a pair of after shockz a few years ago, they came with ear plugs and were definitely bone conduction - plugging your ears made them sound better, and even at a good volume, it wasn't that noticeable to those around you. You had to really get into the upper ranges of volume for them to be heard around you. THESE however I can only guess are directional speaker's, and not good at that even. Plugging my ears makes the music an indistinguishable rumble, they sound better without ear plugs by far. A volume that is loud enough to actually hear those speaking in a podcast and understand them is audible to those around me. This is frustrating because I walk around an office for work and don't want to distract others, but still be able to hear if somebody calls my name. The only upside to these compared to my previous ones is that they don't pinch my head as hard as the other models. That being said I will probably keep them because of the other design features - my ears aren't plugged, its not hanging around my neck sloppily, no ear buds to lose, I'm not afraid of touching buttons with dirty hands, and, bone conduction and speaker volume aside, it has pretty good sound for what it is.

I’ve been buying headphones for sometime now, theis was the best I had! My ears get really itchy, and there was one time had an ear infection because of the irritation with in ear headphones. I came accross this product and check the reviews, so I decided to try. It was perfect!

I have tried them all and these are the best. The ear bud part goes in front of ear an can hear perfect. What is funny is if you plug your eats up with fingers you can hear louder. Strange how it works. Love it

These work great my husband loves them. He works Construction and he is still able to hear his music over the noise of the sites. If your on the phone and the background isbloud putting ur fingers in your ears amplifies the soind of the call.

This is a pretty good product, once you get used to them. They aren’t loud because they aren’t designed to be loud. I had to realize that they were designed so the user can listen to their surroundings. when I began to understand that I haven’t worn my Bose earbuds since

My husband has 3 of these & rotates them. I have 2 and gave 1 to my daughter. We just purchased 1 for grandson’s birthday & 1 for my best friend ( who has ear irritation issues). Fit under any helmet. So comfortable. Works with the Apple Watch!

These headphones are awesome! Easy to use and the sound is clear. I listen to music with them and it is so nice to have my hands free while I am outside working in the yard. I would highly recommend these.

Love it. I can hear clearly and also hear what’s going on around me. It doesn’t stick in my ear and irritate it like types of earphones. Easy to set up and pair to my iPad and iPhone.
