Small and powerful, this mic has some fun features that make the average mic pale in comparison. This is the first mic I have experienced with touch controls, so that is something to get used to. Next is the easy-to-use companion desktop app that helps control the inner features of the mic, volume, gain, and whatnot. I appreciate the audio quality of the mic, studio-quality sound and it definitely doesn't feel cheap. I'm excited to record with this mic. Much needed upgrade.

Yes, you can find a decent mic any number of places for 1/3 or even 1/4 the price of the MV7, but at the end of the day you're not going to get anywhere near the experience and quality out of your recordings as you are with this thing. First thing is the app; ShurePlus MOTIV. This allows you to fine tune your mic. Near/Far, dark/neutral/bright, etc etc, the app gives you simple and quick control over the most common variables. No need to do a deep dive into mixing or anything like that, the MOTIV app allows you to quickly get in and get out so you can get on with recording. The mic itself is of superb quality. Everything feels amazing, has a nice touch/feel to it, and while a little heavy, it is a heft of quality that lesser-quality mics simply don't have because they are made with plastic and cheap, flimsy materials. Controls are touch-sensitive and respond instantly. You have both XLR and USB connection capabilities, so there's a variety of uses you can throw the MV7 at. Laptop, PC, phone calls, meetings, etc etc, this mic can knock them all out. Only thing I would recommends is maybe getting higher quality foam filter or even a stand-alone shield/filter to help with the plosives on "p" and "s" as the provided foam cover is a touch on the thin side. If you are right on top of the mic and happen to be someone who really hits those letters hard while talking, the listener is definitely going to notice. That aside, top-notch product from Shure and an easy recommendation.

Replaced my Blue Yeti with this Shure Microphone and it’s like night and day. Would recommend to anyone interested in content creation.

This microphone paired with the free app that accompanies it is excellent. Love that you can adjust gain settings on the mic. Picks up clear and gives a great recorded sound. It does not come with a base/stand but is easily attached to nearly any base so its versatile.

So far so good. This mic works well with the software provided. No problems yet I’ve recorded 2 songs and upgraded from a jlab talk.

The microphone itself is amazing and there's no other microphone I'd recommend at this price point over this. But, the reason for the low score is the fact that the mic uses a micro USB port. It's 2021 and theres no reason to use such a fragile and outdated interface. It does not take much to bend this port to uselessness.
