I’ve always wanted to purchase an SM7b but always hesitated on spending the money for it. Once this model was released and I saw the comparison videos I knew right away that I would get it and I’m much more impressed than I would have been before.

I’ve had other microphones before, including a Blue Yeti but nothing compares to the sound of this one! Background noise is no longer an issue, my voice is crisp and clear and my videos come out sounding high quality!

This is probably the best mic hands down with usb and xlr. I use it for zoom calls which I’m on many hours of the day. Don’t forget you need some kind of a stand for it because it doesn’t come with it in the box.

This mic is the prosumer sister to the Shure SM7B (which Michael Jackson used to record Thriller). It's great out the box, just plug and play. Quite expensive though.

There is not much I can say that hasn't been said about this baby brother to the legendary SM7B. The aesthetic, build quality, and (most importantly) the sound quality are all top notch. I even think that it is priced quite well for what it offers. I upgraded to this from my Elgato Wave 1 and, although I still am actually using the wave 1 purely for the mixing software, I am much happier with the sound quality from the MV7 The combination of XLR and USB outputs make this microphone incredibly versatile and the Shure Motiv software offers fantastic EQ control at whatever level of detail that you want. PROS: - Sound quality: The capsule in this microphone does an excellent job of isolating the complete range of frequencies of the voice. The EQ in the Shure Motiv software allows a great variety of control to deliver the exact sound you are looking for with either auto settings or manual control. - Build: The microphone's metal construction feels premium. The capacitive controls (accessed when powered by USB) are responsive and do not provide reverb into the mic when touched. The ability to lock these buttons is HUGE also for those of us who have small children who like to touch everything. Also, the way that the microphone fits in the yoke is very well thought out so it doesn't just "free spin" and cause damage to the cord connectors. - Price: On the surface this microphone may appear over priced when compared to other dynamic microphones in it's category (namely the Rode Pod Mic) but the feature that separates the MV7 is the usb out. With the Rode Pod Mic you need to purchase some other hardware (mixer) if you intend to use the microphone with a PC. While you can make an argument that a mixer is important anyway (multi track audio etc.) this MV7 offers true plug and play ability. CONS: - Pop Filter: The pop filter looks great when matched on the mic as a whole and has great thickness on the sides, but it is EMBARRASSINGLY THIN on the top where it counts. I can't possibly understand why this section is seemingly half the thickness of the rest of the filter. You can literally feel the air gap between the end of the filter and the beginning of the metal guard around the capsule. As is, this microphone does not do a good enough job at controlling plosives in my opinion. Especially given the fact that you generally want to keep the microphone close to your mouth. - Limiter: The limiter in the Shure software definitely does something to prevent peaking, but it is not fool proof or as good as some competitors - namely the elgato Wave's clipguard. All in all this is a FANTASTIC microphone that I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking to improve their audio and especially those who want the deep, rich, podcast type sound.

The Shure - MV7 Dynamic Cardioid USB Microphone is remarkable. This microphone is great for adding crystal clear vocal and musical content to any digital media project. Vlogs, podcasts, streams, recordings, etc. The Shure - MV7 Dynamic Cardioid USB Microphone is precise with acute responsiveness to incoming audio, giving you an enhanced rich audio file. It works exceptionally well when recording multiple audio sources at once (multiple voices and instruments being playing in unison). My family recently began playing instruments and we use the Shure - MV7 Dynamic Cardioid USB Microphone to record sessions. I am amazed at the clarity of the generated by this microphone. You can heard the vocals and instruments clearly without ambient noise from the room or background. Just outstanding. I also use the microphone to record vocal tracks over instructional videos. It’s just effortless to record a crisp audio overlay without distortion or the need to perform a bunch of post editing. Using this microphone, you can feel like you're a radio host, or DJ. I really enjoy the features that are included with the microphone. You can adjust gain levels, modify mix and even mute directly on the mic. If you use the ShurePlus MOTIV software application you get the ability to further tweak your sound as required for your recording/input needs. There's a comprehensive menu of options to ensure you can create high quality professional recordings. Best of all, the Shure - MV7 Dynamic Cardioid USB Microphone is easy to setup and use. I use it primarily use it on the Mac and it's literally plug and play. Nothing to download or install, unless of course you want to use the software for enhanced features. I like the design as well. Study frame, adjustable height and the finish is spectacular. If you like displaying your microphone in your videos, the Shure - MV7 Dynamic Cardioid USB Microphone is definitely stunning to look at. I highly recommend The Shure - MV7 Dynamic Cardioid USB Microphone. You will certainly enjoy using it and please astonished with the audio results it delivers.
