This was a good movie, alittle slow on the action.

VERY GOOD ACCION MOVIE FOR EXCELENTE PRICE FOR ALL

A good movie thoughh not as good as the original!!

This is a good movie but not as great as the fist.

Good movie, but leaves you waiting for the sequel.

Sequels are generally nearly never as good as the original, and this film is no exception, although written by the brilliant Tony Sheridan once again, Sicario: Day of the Soldado comes up short. Three reasons for this, 1) New Director - Stefano Sollima replaces the great Denis Villeneuve, 2) no Emily Blunt who in the first film provided an offset to the characters played by Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin, and 3) Hildur Guðnadóttir replaces the late Johann Johannson as the composer who scored the outstanding soundtrack of the original "Sicario" who will be sadly missed. Still this movie is better than 90+% of all the movies Hollywood makes. It will be interesting to see what the planned third film in this trilogy.

I enjoyed Soldado a lot more the second time around. I understood it better on blu ray than I did in the theater. This time I watched it with an open mind without comparing it to the first one. The first Sicario was so outstanding that my expectations were to high. When I watched Soldado as a stand alone film, wow, I appreciated it a lot more on the 4k blu ray. I thoroughly enjoyed it did this time. Soldado expanded on the characters further making them even more likable. Soldado is also one of the best looking 4k blu rays I've ever seen. The landscapes, the cities, the nighttime cinematography. The detail is crazy.

I thought the first movie SICARIO was much better than the one I'm writing the review on.

This sequel had more action, but the original was more realistic. The notion of no rules is so unbelievable, especially during times of political correctness. This might have been more relatable maybe twenty or thirty years ago.

I liked it, good watch. It had everything the the first one had, except a faster pace and more action. The “action” was built up for so long that the intense explosiveness of it was unique and I, like many others, was left wanting more. Still good, still suspenseful and and intense. Like with anything you can’t do everything, I thought I wanted a more shoot out scenes, but what really made everything so intense in the first one was the slow pacing and build up. Still worth the watch!

While i enjoyed the action scenes the movie switches abruptly leaving one to question what was the point. Well worth it just for the action, but does not compare or come close as a well written story as the 1st installment.

Though it may not be as good as the first Sicario movie was and not as critically acclaimed, it's still a very good movie and very worthwhile to watch. Upon leaving the theater after seeing it I felt disappointed because it wasn't quite as good as Sicario was. But within a couple of days after seeing it I found myself ordering it on 4K from best buy to keep in my library of movies. As far as this particular production company goes I am always waiting with great anticipition for their next project to hit the screens because they do such a good job.

Not my cup of tea. That being said this movie is action packed and has a solid storyline.

Having seen the first one at home, I was anticipating the arrival of the sequel - really enjoyed the amount of action and heightened suspense. Saw this sequel opening night, immediately knew I had to buy the sequel in 4K when it was out. No regrets whatsoever (especially having bought it during Black Friday at a great price) definitely one of my recent favorite movies. Highly recommend watching it in 4K and pairing it with a Dolby Atmos soundbar - fully immersive experience. Brolin and Del Torro nail in this sequel.

The first Sicario was a pretty, well artistically shot, wonderfully sounding movie with amazing characters. The overall feel of the movie was something that compares to a thriller. I was drawn in constantly. The second Sicario, although not as visually stimulating as the first movie is a very exciting movie. What feels like going from a small pet project to a AAA blockbuster this movie keeps me interested in characters, motivation, plot, dialogue. I will say this is a bit more explosiony if that makes sense. Not as visually appealing it is still an absolute must see.

This movie is a sequel of Sicario, yet it can stand on its own. One can watch it without having to watch the first, even though it's highly recommended that that first one is watched as well. In the second installation, the character of the female FBI agent played by Emily Blunt was gone, but a new female character, very well played by Isabella Moner, added a new dimension to the internal conflict of conscience between the two lead characters from the first movie. Hopefully, there will be a third installment of this superb series of thrillers. Highly recommended.

Decent follow-up to the original, not as good, but decent. Acting was above par, story line was the real weakness here. Would recommend, but don't expect to be on same level as superb original.

I will call this Sicario 2 was a solid movie, but not as moving as the first one. Benicio Del Toro provides another excellent performance which was just as good as the first. Isabel Moner(the high school girl) provides a good performance to move the story along. You will find everyone has good and bad in them and it sets up for a good revenge sequel. Action and pacing was not as good as the first and at times, the movie moves too slowly to keep interest. If you are a collector, you will be buying the movie, if not, you will be happy with a rental.

My review is for the 4k version. The 4k picture quality is vibrant and the sound is outstanding. The musical score sets the tone for many of the confrontation scenes. Over all the plot itself is a really good set up but the end result feels a little bit of a wasted opportunity. I think the films assumes we know all we need to about the main characters based upon the original movie. While a great movie and a great follow up to the original it's just not as deep or engaging.

The movie is a continuation of Sicario with Emily Blunt. While all the characters perform their roles admirably, like many sequels, it just doesn't live up to the 1st movie.
