I saw the first Sicario with barely any expectations not knowing much about it, but was more than surprised just how compellling it was! Thus, giving this sequel a high hurdle to jump, and it did not disappoint. Atmosphere plays an important role in this film, and this world will suck you in before you know it. Benicio is nothing short of amazing, and proves how he is one of the elite actors for a reason. Everything about this sequel works on every level!

This sequel shows a lot of character development in the Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin characters. They are far more emotionally complex in this movie. I wish Emily Blunt's character could have stayed with the series, with all her ambivalent feelings about what law enforcement was doing. But as replacements, the Del Toro and Brolin characters become the ones who are ambivalent about how the CIA works. The ending is a clear setup for another sequel.

This movie was worth the discounted dvd price so I would just leave it at that. It’s one to watch when there’s nothing else going on and you want to take up time.

Emily Blunt was OUTSTANDING in the first Sicario so I was concerned how the sequel would stand up with out her participation. It did not skip a beat. Benicio del Toro and Josh Brolin and some other excellent actors created an awesome sequel. I suspect that much of what is depicted in a movie like this ACTUALLY happens in real life. Anyway, tons of action, a great story, and some superb acting made this a movie I will certainly watch again.

Sicario: Day of the Soldado the first sequel in what i hope will be a long running franchise was great. Not sure which i like better between the 2 films so far, but this one was great. Intense film appropriate for adults showcasing US involvement going wrong and agents having to weather the storm of the fallout. Amazing cast throughout, very watchable.

I found "Sicario" disappointing. Although there were many tense, thrilling scenes the movie did not have a flow. The story was hard to follow to its ending.

This is a great follow-up to the first movie. Usually sequels don't measure up to the original, but this one goes in a new direction. I watched the first movie a few times and I watched this one and replayed it right away and watched it a second time, then I watched all the extras and enjoyed every bit of it. Lots of action and never a dull moment. The ending leaves room for another sequel to come.

Excellent picture and wonderful sound! Throw in a good story line and very good to excellent acting based around an even better first film (Sicario) and you've got "Sicario - Day of the Soldado". The ONLY reason I didn't give this 5 stars is it is not as good as the first film. I only purchase films I KNOW I will watch more than 50 times (LOL!) and this is one of 'em! Highly recommended! Trust me...I know what I'm doin' when I'm reviewin'.

Fighting the drug war crossing back to the source of its origin. If you you like drama...., watch this. It will confuse you too.

One of the best sequel movies that I've seen in a long time. Which shows the darker side of the war on drugs, and illegal immigrants crossing the border. The movie certainly seemed very accurate, especially when it came to the political duplicity going on in the government right now. Definitely worth seeing, and I am looking forward to the next installment the way it ended.

Not enough Benecio and too much Keener and Brolin. They missed a great opportunity to have a phenomenal follow-up and set up #3

I love Sicaro 1 but the follow-up to it was ok at best. I wouldnt recommend forking out $20 for it. Wait for it to be on sale.

Del Toro and Broslin were excellent, thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Plot was clear, and nice twist on it too. Didn't see the ending coming, hoping that means there is a 3rd one in the works. Standard drug and other "iffy" topics, with a tie in to make it real life relevant. Would recommend checking out both this movie and the first one.

Great movie! My family still likes to have a copy of their favorites on dvd. Some titles deserve it! We love digital also, but there have been times when internet goes down and we have a good selection to throw in the DVD player! Do, keep at least one DVD player on standby…just in case!

The sequel to Sicario, is sorely missing the presence of Emily Blunt, but fortunately Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro are back for a second go round, and they deliver. The drama is there, the action set pieces are there, and it has a sharp screenplay from Taylor Sheridan, who wrote the original, as well as, "Wind River." It is worth a view, so long as you do not expect it to be on par with the first one.

U.S. Federal Agent, played by Josh Brolin, teams up with mysterious Alejandro (Played by Benicio Del Toro) in escalating the war against the Mexican drug cartel. Del Toro continues his dark role in seeking revenge against the cartel by kidnapping the daughter of a major kingpin. ark tale the leaves many questions unanswered awaiting third movie in this trilogy.

Great film that breaks away from the first one but still manages to tackle an important topic. If you liked Sicario, then you will probably enjoy this one. I understand it is not for everyone since this is more of an action film than the first. But the cast is still great and leaves you wanting another one.

Decent follow up. If you liked the first one you will likely enjoy this movie. 4k release looked sharp and sounded great.

SICARIO - DAY OF THE SOLDANO is a sequel, and yet a film that can stand on it's own, from the first film. Filled with much action nd adventure, twists and turns, the film flies by to where the viewer will be wanting more. Could this turn out to be a trilogy?

When I preordered the steelbook 4k uhd combo of Sicario: Day of the Soldado, I was very excited. I recieved a text from Best Buy letting me know my dvd had arrived. When I finally saw it in person, it exceeded my expectations. The cover art alone makes this item worth it, and I loved the ending of this one. Great to redeem the digital copy in UHD as well.
