Great movie, wonderful cast, I have watched it 5 times now! Never gets old, highly recommend!

The video is excellent, the sound is impeccable, everything looks great on this release.

If you were just watching the included 1080p Blu-ray disc, you would be perfectly satisfied with the clean and clear picture. But when you compare it to the 4K disc, you truly experience how this movie was intended to look. The 4K has a much brighter picture than the 1080p. You can almost feel the white hot heat of the sun drenched Arizona desert in the opening scene. The 1080p version is much duller. The 4K renders more accurate looking skin tones while 1080p exhibits a slight yellowish tint. With the HDR, you get a better and wider color volume. The colors feel fuller and more tangible. I'm deducting one star (it should be more like half a star) only because around the 38-39 min mark, the picture on the 4K disc has some flickering on the center bottom portion of the image. It kinda of broke the immersion of the movie. The 1080p does not have the same flickering. The digital code still worked for me even though it technically expired in 2017. The digital version has the same brightness profile as the 4K disc, but the resolution is inferior to the physical version. It just doesn't look as sharp due to the compressed nature of internet streaming. In an entertainment world dominated by the streaming services, this disc is proof that physical media is still worth owning.

Great movie and spin off of the first one. If you didn't like the first movie, then pass this one buy but if you liked the first one, great action and old school shoot outs.

Great new low price. Tough, hard hitting drama. Waiting to see next showing. Very violent though.

An incredible masterpiece by Denis Villeneuve is better than ever in 4K. A must-buy!

This is just a great movie period. Probably closer to reality than what we like to think.

Denis Villeneuve burst onto the scene in 2013 with his chilling American directorial debut “Prisoners”, and later cemented himself as a director-to-watch with last year’s “Enemy”. Both films are excellent, and treat the audience as the smart moviegoers they are, letting them freely infer and fill in the blanks when it comes to things that aren’t fully spelled out. So it should come as no surprise that his latest effort “Sicario” succeeds in much the same way. This time he’s teaming up with the likes of Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin, and Benicio Del Toro, who prove to be a fascinating trio in this slow-building thriller. The film follows Kate Macer (Blunt), an FBI agent eager to make a difference after several members of her team are killed while searching a home containing evidence linked to a prominent Mexican drug cartel. She volunteers to help search for the men responsible as part of a special task force led by supposed Defense Department contractor Matt Graver and his mysterious partner Alejandro Gillick (Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro). But things begin to get messy and many of Kate’s preconceptions are shattered quickly. We trail her on this spellbinding journey of moral ambiguity and blatant violence, and her perspective is what makes the majority of it so surprising. The thing that struck me immediately about the picture was the astonishing cinematography, which was beautifully done by the legendary Roger Deakins (most known for his work on films like “Fargo” and “No Country for Old Men”). When paired with the superb acting from each and every cast member, you get a knockout of a movie. Emily Blunt is the true stand out here, and seeing her lead the film after so many great supporting roles is extremely satisfying. This is undoubtedly one of my favorite films of the year so far, and continues to grow on me the more I think about it.

Since jumping into 4K and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray I have become what I feared most, a Blu-ray snob! I have reviewed over 9 different 4K UHD Blu-ray titles here: http://whysoblu.com/category/blu-ray-reviews/4k-uhd-blu-ray-review/ However, Sicario on 4K UHD Blu-ray is by far one of my favorites in my 16-disc UHD collection thus far. The Dolby Atmos surround track goes a long way, but it's the stunning, razor sharp clarity and HDR presentation that gets me every time. This one is a winner on 4K Blu-ray from Lionsgate! Beware though as there are some bad batches of this disc. If you have the same problem like I did trying to get your 4K Blu player to read it, take it back to a completely different Best Buy store for a replacement. Don't make the same mistake I did and go back to the same store. All their discs were defective. It truly was worth all the hassle though!

The DVD was great. And such a great price. The help I received from Dustin was excellent.

This is one of the best films I’ve seen. Action packed and great drama. Ultra 4K is beautiful.
