Great movie. Action packed. Thrilling to the end..

Fast paced thrill ride. Emily Blunt plays a rookie FBI agent who's had nothing but success in her early career. Directing SWAT teams as part of a kidnap response unit, she's found the people she's looking for every time. Or so she thinks, until she's recruited for assistance in a shady CIA mission that has her breaking international law and violating civil rights. She becomes increasing uncomfortable with what she's asked to do and the limited information she has on the overall objective of the mission. She's been great at her job, unfortunately for her, in this new world of covert government action, she has no idea what her job even is. We see all the action through her eyes, kept in the dark from what is really going on the entire time.

Sicario is a fantastic thriller with many suspenseful scenes. You'll especially feel it when Emily Blunt's character goes on her first mission for the CIA. Speaking of Emily Blunt, the performances are fantastic. Emily doesn't have much to work with, but the laconic character played by Benico Del Toro is the highlight of the film as well as Josh Brolin's eccentric performance. Without going into spoilers, the plot is intriguing with how it unfolds especially with the statement the movie makes about bringing stability to the Mexican drug war. Cinematography is amazing in this movie as expected by Roger Deakins. Sicario is one of the better UHD 4k transfers. The HDR brings out the color for the scene in Mexican as well as the night time scenes toward the end of the movie.

I must confess that I watched the most recent Sicario movie first because I was unaware of the first movie. I loved that movie and it’s characters a lot so I bought the first one. The plot line and our introduction to some of the main characters in the sequel were excellent. Each movie has its own unique feel and agenda but they stand independently of each other in their greatness. I loved both of them for different reasons and not just because one happens to be a watered down version of the as so often happens in movie sequels or series. I strongly recommend that you see this first movie if you have only watched the most recent one. You will understand the underpinnings of this franchis3 a lot better !

Became a hit with a following so they brought back the same team to make a sequel! This is the one to watch!

Good action flick with a lot of suspense. One of those stories that makes you deal with the grey areas.

I didn't see this film in the theater and I didn't see this film before purchasing it. I saw Arrival last year and then Blade Runner 2049. So I decided to go back and start watching more films by Denis Villeneuve. Surprisingly, he hasn't made too many films, but the films he's made are really great. This is no exception. Johann Johannsson's score is nail-biting and the cinematography by Roger Deakins is beautiful - if he doesn't win an Oscar for Blade Runner 2049, then Academy members are just blind. Great performances all around. Special features are lacking but the ones the Blu-Ray has are at least decent ones. Definitely do yourself a favor and watch this along with Denis Villeneuve's filmography. You won't be disappointed.

It was awesome when it came out, still holds up really well today. Gray movie at a great price.

Not for kids! Dramatic story that leaves you guessing and surprises you. Pretty violent and intense.

Great movie and the 4k really is outstanding! A must see movie with great acting all around.

First one was great but this 2nd one is more interesting and now looking forward to the 3rd one.

Drugs, violence, and police corruption seems to be the characteristic of Mexico's society, at least as shown here..if there is even a little bit of similarity in real life, that would be scary, really enjoyed the character played by Benicio del Toro, I like his no nonsense approached, the US group trying to level the playing field had to go beyond the boundary of legal rules, to which is being neutralized by Emily Blount role as an FBI liaison, I could summarily speak for everyone that in the real world, that we would willing to acquiesce to the method used by law enforcement as long as it yield result in reduction of drugs and violence associated to it. This is one movie I could watch over and over and still enjoy it each time...

I had to buy this one after I realized I had the second. Nice to have to complete collection.

Pretty suspenseful, especially the the border crossing scene. Just wish it had more action.

It's a good movie, have watched it a few times and plan on watching it a few more times.
