To my knowledge, there isn't any special release of this movie. Aside from purchasing the steelbook online that will run you 2 to 3 Times the cost of the standard release. And it's not from the main retailers of "editions" (target, best buy, walmart), you would have to look it up yourself. So unless you're an avid steelbook collector, this standard release with a slipcover is just fine. Now all that was just to full in the minimum space. If you're reading this to see if the movie is worth seeing, it is. Buy it.

Sicario deals with 3 separate characters, and their separate "agenda's", while dealing with the drug cartels in Mexico. One deals with the way things "should" be. Another character looks at "getting the job done", while the 3rd is "seeking revenge". I believe that the price I paid for this DVD was worth every penny. It was definitely suspenseful and action packed.

Like the documentary "Cartel Land", Sicario creates a grim picture of the drug trade in and around the United States. Most people don't want to watch documentaries however and fortunately Sicario will get viewers to understand that drugs and cartels will be a problem that we need to seriously address sooner rather than later. On a different note: the Blu-ray transfer looks and sounds excellent. Colors and detail are very sharp while surround sound has a good balance between music, dialogue and action.

In addition to 4K UHD resolution which offers 4x the resolution of conventional HD, the new high-impact discs pack even more of a visual punch with High Dynamic Range (HDR) imagery available on television sets supporting HDR. HDR provides a dramatic improvement in brilliance, contrast and breadth of colors that must truly be experienced to be believed. The combination of 4K Ultra HD with HDR provides a more vivid and realistic visual experience than ever before.

I rarely enjoy seeing a movie more than twice, and with so many movies out there it almost seems dumb. But I can say that I've seen this movie at least 6 or 7 times, always with different people. ["Did you see Sicario?" "Did I see what now?" is the usual answer. "Do you have a couple of hours?"] You get drawn in from the very first scene. Really enjoying what this director has been putting out (Arrival, the new Blade Runner) An amazing and very underrated film.

Excellent steelbook. It's embossed/debossed with nice deep detail AND comes with a plastic slipcover. I LOVE when steelbooks come with a slipcover than enhances the art. The only Sicario 2 steelbook in the US went out of stock a few years back and I decided not to hold my breath for Best Buy to release a matching steelbook for the sequel.

If there were six stars for the rating, I would choose six stars. To date, I have seen this movie about 15 times. I can quote most of it and still plan to watch it many more times. There is nothing bad about this movie, except the fact that there isn't a director's cut, which I will purchase if they ever release one. I kept watching it so often when I borrowed from my parents, I went out and bought my own. Also, the price made it and instant purchase. GREAT FILM. #bestbuyforlife

Great movie about the Mexican cartels. Lots of twists and turns. FYI- the opening scene is set in Chandler, AZ but it's not a good representation of my city.... not because we don't have drug dealers here, but because we don't have nearly that many rolling hills!! Nearly everyone in the theatre laughed pretty hard about it too because it was so ridiculously wrong lol. Hey Hollywood - If you are going to claim to be in a specific city, at least get the topography right :-p

Great movie dealing with the horrors that occur in the war on drugs. Sicario = hitman, represents the Hollywood version of a man's journey to seek vengeance for the death of his family at the hands of a drug lord. I found the intertwine between different federal agencies as well as their methods (sometimes illegal) to get results, quite interesting. The movie is action pack and very graphic. Highly recommended for adult audiences, definitely not for children or even teens.

Denis Villeneuve, the director of Sicario, is getting plenty of notice these days for Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival. He made this movie before those two, and it is just as well made and enjoyable. The movie is intense, as you would expect for a story about fighting drug cartels at the border. But it is also very thought provoking concerning how to win the "War on Drugs". The Blu-ray version is visually stunning. I highly recommend this movie!

Simply an amazing film on all fronts...the end, if you're a fan of film in general then Sicario is one that you have to watch at least once. And as an aside, watching it at home is great, but it still can't match the impact of the theater, from the opening sequence to escort mission in mexico to the sunset silhouette scene, but it comes so close.

Great movie - Emily Blunt has never disappointed me in a movie and she was very good in this movie, Del Toro has a classic role in this movie - with his take no pity or nonsense from anyone. The plot was excellent as was the action. The price was that of a movie ticket and I’ll have the option of watching it again in the future.

"Sicario"... Translation, for the purpose of this film, means "hitman". This film is by far the most gripping and tension-packed ride through America's War on Drugs since, in my opinion, Traffic nearly 16 years ago. Directed by the talented French-Canadian Denis Villenueve (Prisoners & Incendies, both excellent films) and written with nerve shattering devastion by Sons of Anarchy actor Taylor Sheridan. In short, this film brings out suspense and scalding action in a world that most of us aren't familiar with and know very little about. Especially behind the scenes, which shows there are no rights or wrongs in this underworld. Highly recommend.

This movie was great.I wanted to buy the steel book when it was release,but it was sold out,so when I read that Best Buy is going to re-release on 4k steel book again. I went ahead pre-order my copy.this steel book was so much better than the first steel book that was release, it's a must for steel books collectors

Sicario is a great movie about the complexities of fighting the drug trade. Who is good and who is bad is up to the audience to judge, but Emily Blunt is clearly a moral idealist out of her league with the likes of Benicio Del Toro and Josh Broslin doing whatever it takes to take out the bad guys. The acting is superb, as well as the atmosphere of suspense and exemplary scriptwriting. Definitely not your ordinary crime fighting movie but well worth seeing.

First off, one of my favorite versions of the steelbook - comes with a slipcover. The film itself is also an excellent peer behind the curtains of law enforcement's trouble with modern drug trafficking across the US / Mexico border. A worthwhile film that will have you at the edge of your seat!

Love this movie. Very eye opening to the drug trade. Sound and visuals are top notch. Could not believe Best Buy had the Steelbook on sale for under $14.00 after tax. The clear slip cover should be put on every Steelbook to protect it and gives you all the info on the back. Very well done presentation.

I actually bought this movie on regular Blu-ray then I found out it was coming out a week later on ultra HD Blu-ray, so I returned it and picked up the ultra HD Blu-ray. Very good movie. Picture and sound quality are excellent and the action is awesome. Definitely a must-have in your movie collection.

I really enjoyed Sicario! I've been to Mexico numerous times and seen some of America's and Mexico's boarders. This is an excellent movie that shows in depth detail of our problem and relationship with Mexico with when it comes to the cartels and corruption. I could watch this movie more than once and actually seen it twice before buying it in 4k.

Even better in 4k. First time I saw this film was in bluray and was amazed by the quality of the film. From the acting to the directing, it was put together very nicely and with some thought. I would not consider this film an action film, it is more of a thriller due in part to how realistic the film is, because of the realism you fear for the main character's life throughout the film as well as the lives of other character's.
