Great action movie, that grabs you early on and keeps you in suspense with plot twists along the way. Unlike some of the other action movies I've seen, the bad guy in this movie is truly bad and the viewer has zero sympathy for him when he's stopped.

This movie is about US covert action against Mexican Drug Cartels. The story has been well-researched and has a number of plot twists. the production values and acting are excellent. The special features are well done and insightful. There are some previews for other films.

Needed a 4K movie to watch on the new true 4K player and this was an excellent choice. The lineup of movies in true 4K are still limited or already had the other movies in the Blu-ray format. Not sure how but I overlooked this movie when it was first released. This movie is full of action through almost the entire movie and keeps you engaged. This is one of the movies I will pull out of the achieves later and watch again.

Sicario is a great movie and looks great and very vivid and very clear on blu ray in HD and great cinematography. It looks exceptionally sharp and well detailed virtually all of the time, with a few minor exceptions. The dusty, kind of beige-brown ambience of the American Southwest is detailed in a gritty, lifelike manner.

I had purchased this movie because it was one of the only movies in stock that had Dolby Atmos. I purchased this movie along with a Samsung K8500 UHD Bluray Player, unfortunately the 4K disc would not play and it seems to be an issue that others are having. The movie does however play in my Xbox One S flawlessly. So it is 4 stars because of compatibility issues.

This is a fantastic movie with gritty action. The steelbook case is beautiful. Probably one of the nicest I've ever bought, and that's a lot. I'm a steelbook nerd and this one's quality ranks up there with the best of them. And everything for a great price of 22 bucks. You can't beat that.

I loved everything about this movie - the actors, the plot, the director and how it was filmed. I particularly liked the character played by Emily Blunt. I am also a big fan of the two male leads. The only troubling aspect of the film was the message that one has to go outside the law to achieve true justice but it seems to leave the answer to this observation up to the viewer.

Another wonderful looking 4k movie. I sat about 3' away from my 75" tv and it looks very good. HDR seemed to have a problem with my tv, maybe something to do with the Sony's X-tended Dynamic Range processing. I ended up turn it off because at some scenes it would look brighter and then dims. Don't know what was going on. As for the movie, it's a good story/thriller. Hard to summarize or the plot might be given away. I enjoyed the technology presented, the storyline kept me engaged, had a little bit of action, and was suspenseful. I liked it a lot and would probably watch it again.

First off, this movie is not for everybody; it is not a "happily ever after" story with clearly defined "good" and "bad" guys. This is an action/drama that explores morality and the lengths to which you sometimes must go to "defeat evil". Its all-star cast fleshes the story out well given the truncated format of feature film, but even in his supporting role, Benicio del Toro still steals the show, as he often does.

This film is full of great actors, just a great cast across the board. The storytelling is superb. This is Benecio Del Toro at his finest. His phenomenal acting makes you believe he is who he is in the film: not a nice guy just helping the US government out. Emily Blunt is spectacular, as is Josh Brolin. You'll find yourself watching this over and over. The soundtrack is GREAT!

A gritty hyper realistic crime drama, expert cinematography, solid screen writing, and intense plot lines bring you into the fold of shadowy war on drugs. Del Toro and Blunt absolutely smolder on screen and Brolin is wonderful as irreverent and calloused CIA Operative. Other cameo and supporting roles will please you as well... not a colorful movie but detailed enough to appreciate with solid Atmos Mix overall well rounded action/drama.

This movie was one of the most underrated of last year. Great director ( directed Prisoners & will be directing new Bladerunner movie), great cinematographer, great cast, story. Emily Blunt was great but Benicio Del Toro steals the movie. Glad he's cast in the Star Wars episode 8. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat. Eye opening beginning and twist at the end. You'll definitely enjoy this movie.

This review is all about the 4k quality. The movie itself, is fantastic. The 4k quality is superb. Almost..almost as good as the Revenant. (spelling?) The blacks really shine. Very crisp and clean picture. Viewed with Samsung 8500 on a Samsung 65js8500. Powered through an old Yamaha HTR 6090 with B&W speakers. Great sound too! There are very few really good 4k discs out there. This is one of them!

Beautiful soundtrack, I got the movie just for the soundtrack especially one sequence as the driving by the fence or border France. Emily Blunt is fantastic as is the whole cast. I just love seeing her she has such a nice witty personality and in all her movies and it was nice to see her outside of her comfort zone in this movie. The movie overall is tense from beginning to end and has a nice ending.

If you are a cynic and don't trust the government, here is some validation for you. It's got decent action, but not the James Bond type. More gritty and realistic. One killing towards the end is particularly cold and brutal. Really blurs the line between good and evil. Also a reminder that not even FBI agents have the training one gets from living in the you know what like the Delta Forces. Not for kids.

This steelbook looks so cool! This is hands down my favorite looking steelbook that I own. As for the 4k, Sicario has always been a gorgeous movie and I didn’t really notice a big difference in the step from blu ray to 4k. But its worth the price tag just for the steelbook!

Great 4K transfer on physical media. Some scenes are pretty bright and some are a little darker but it’s really good. The Dolby Atmos also makes the tense scenes, action scenes and the soundtrack so much more immersive and boomy. Love this film!

Great movie. Great sound and picture quality. But the best thing in owning this bluray is definitely the steel book. It look sick and I really like the cover art. Great addition to my growing collection. I highly recommend to purchase it too to add to your collection!

I just love this movie,the emotion an fear comes through well on this movie,even tho this movie was filmed in several places in Mexico and Arizona it has the feel of Nogales,when I was younger and Mexico didn’t have the scary problems it has now I spent a lot of time in the Mexican border towns and I love the feeling and smells,this is a very tense movie

This is an excellent movie about a dark subject. Entertaining but in a dark and greasy kind of way. Drugs - money - war on drugs - porous border - clandestine actions All combine to make a very engaging but dark movie. I relate it to Rendition. If you don't like having your illusions shattered on what is going on with our government and drugs, you won't like this movie. If you like movies that expose the steaming underbelly of bad situations, you will like this movie. Sometimes it takes bad people doing bad things to handle bad situations.
