This film is incredible. The director, Denis Villeneuve, is one of the greatest directors working today and one of my favorite directors of all-time. All of his films are intriguing, mesmerizing, and thought-provoking in their own unique ways. A MUST SEE.

Very seldom do I watch a movie that I already love to death and watch on a different platform to see that I never even truly watched it before. This is a must-own for 4K Blu-Rays. The desert scenes are glorious and the color gamet in HDR is truly eye-opening. The sound is another quality that I am continually astonished by too. This movie is brilliantly directed and acted.

If you have a Home theater, this movie is a must for a good Dolby Atmos Experience. There is a good use of the Height channels whenever helicopters appear on the Scene and it really feels like the helicopters are in the room hovering above!!

I like this movie for it's story, realism, and cinematography. The aerial shots build up scene sequences very well. There are moments when the tension is high and you hold your breath but they are too few and far in between. I felt the need for the story to be too methodical left the action scenes feeling minimal. If the ending had more of a payoff climax I wouldn't be so critical in my review because It would feel more rewarding as a movie. But still the cinematography paints the cruel reality the movie exists in very well.

This steelbook is amazing! You may not be able to tell off the picture but this is a textured sttelbook and it's great. The artwork is beautiful and chances are if you're buying this steelbook youve watched this movie so what more can I say. Great purchase

Excellent movie detailing the evils of the Mexican cartels & the US surveillance state that operates "above the law" ostensibly to "protect us". The 4K visuals are wonderful & really add a dimension of engagement almost approaching 3D !

What a ride ! This movie has first-rate performances from all the actors, and the script is phenomenal. I viewed the movie with several friends and we all thought the movie was Oscar-worthy. It is difficult to watch at times, and the inside look at how the drug cartels operate will challenge your belief systems regarding the methodologies utilized in dealing with such individuals.

This movie completely caught me off guard. Reviews were stellar but no one was talking about it. I ended up missing it in theaters but bought the bluray. It immediately jumped to one of my favorite movies ever. Tension, action, and great performances round out this movie. Picture and audio are 5 stars.

Detail is noticeably improved over it's 1080 counterpart but what I enjoyed the most was the improved contrast in the film's darker sceens. Contrast in dark and shadowy scenes is significantly improved. The film itself is a gritty and fast paced ride into the world of drug trafficking and cartels. Highly recommended 4K release. 5* disc 4.5* movie

This is an excellent movie. I had seen it when it first came out. I read a review of the best DVDs out there in the 4K format and this was one of the top choices, so I bought this to test out a new TV. It really does look great in 4K. Some of the movie scenes are dark and gritty, but it is much better watching this with the incredible detail available in 4K with HDR.

Not all wars are fought by the United States far from home. This story appears to have a basis in fact similar to the recent headlines of a drug lord hiding out in Mexico. These events first unfold on this side of the border and then turn to Mexico. This is a harrowing account of the people who fight in this type of war. Do not miss seeing this film. The Blu-ray is excellent.

It's a cool steelbook that's becoming harder to get. The design is pretty unique. I buy these steelbooks for collector value so it's hard to comment on the video quality. Once you've seen one DVD or Bluray you know what quality to expect.

Excellent film, worth every penny, if you've not seen it you don't know what you're missing! I can't wait to watch it in 4k UHD on my new Denon x3700 & 7.1.4 Klipsch home theater system!

I've seen this film over a dozen times, twice in the theaters and I pop it in constantly at home. Suspenseful, thrilling, and darkly captivating. This film enthralls you and is one of my top 3 films of the last decade. The camera work alone puts this film in a league of its own.

I saw the previews for this movie but missed it in the theater so I was immediately counting down for it's blu-ray release. Benicio del Toro really shows his acting chops in this movie. I won't give out any spoilers, but the story development is really great and by the time the movie reaches the end you'll be hoping there were both a prequel and a sequel - it's THAT GREAT!

Great movie. Already have a DVD copy. Purchased because bought 4KTV and 4KBlu-ray and wanted to see difference between the 4k and a DVD on the new set-up. Since the new set-up enhances regular DVDs I saw no biig differences in the 2 copies. Therefore not necessary to update movie library! Very entertaining. A movie you can enjoy more than once.

Great film. Awesome cinematography, great story, and wonderful soundtrack. Picture quality is superb, and a great transfer on Bluray. This disc also has a Dolby Atmos Track, which does a great job with 3D sound for those who have Atmos. Height effects are well done, and the atmosphere of a helicopter around you was well done. One of my favorite additions to my collection.

Emily Blunt has made some bold acting choices in the last few years, and Sicario brings it up to the top notch. A nuanced action movie that shows the ambiguity between good and evil, and what each will do to achieve their ultimate goals. What would you sacrifice? Would it be worth it? Action movies that make you think are always better than those that do it for you.

Glad they released this on steelbook as inital release was stadnard blu ray. Although its painful to have to double dip on movies. At least this is 4K upgrade and not a pure cash grab re-release. Too bad Emily did not return in the sequel.

Keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Del Toro really stands out and does a perfect job playing an operative who is out for revenge and willing to do anything to get the vengeance he seeks.
