Like many people these days, I have a handful of remotes that sit beside me: One for my TV, one for my audio receiver, one for my 4K blu-ray player, and one for my Roku. This attachment promised to provide a solution to the glut of remotes that I have, by providing a nearly universal remote that attaches to the side of the Roku remote and would at least partially replace the need for some of the other remotes. Sounded like a terrific idea. Unfortunately, the execution of this idea needs some work. For starters, the clip that holds the Sideclick onto the Roku remote is flimsy. It doesn't hug the Roku remote very well, so even the smallest bit of pressure will push the Sideclick attachment right off the Roku remote. I was going to wrap a couple of rubber bands around the Roku remote and the Sideclick to hold the pair together so that I could actually push the buttons on the Sideclick without it coming away from the Roku remote. This lack of strength in the clip for the Sideclick is this product's biggest drawback, in my opinion. The second issue I encountered: The Sideclick wouldn't "pair" very well with the remote for my audio receiver. It did fine with the remote for my TV, but not the one for my audio receiver. So I could really only replace one of the two remotes I truly needed to replace with the Sideclick. So after spending less than an hour playing around with the Sideclick and coming to the conclusion that this product badly needed some more work before it could be of any use to me, I packaged it back up and returned it to my local Best Buy. I cannot recommend this product without improvements being made to the current design to the Sideclick itself, and to the current design of the clips that hold the Sideclick to the Roku remote.

Actually makes it feel like a full size remote with this thing clipped on. Programming takes a bit of trial an error though. Just remember that you are programming your TV remote to it.

Complementary addition to my Roku remote. Consolidates device functions. Allows me to turn on/off my TV and other devices using only my Roku remote.

No longer have to be juggling multiple controllers so happy i finally bought this. Need to buy for the rest of my rooms

It was easy to program, once I realized that I needed to line up the remote with the Sideclick, not the Roku. It is easy to handle!

Was excited to get this to turn roku remote into universal remote. Was able to use this for speakerbar and DVD player, but was not as simple to program as hoped. ONce set up, worked well for about 3 month then quit working completely. Will not buy another.

Bought this to control all the extra controllers. Wish a few more buttons were available, but it serves its purpose.

Worked really well on our Roku remote, at least until the dog ate it (no fault of the product).

Good item for the price I paid. There are many ways to program it. Have some in mind before purchase.

My family loves these - each place we have a roku, fire tv or shield we have one of these on them. The only thing I wish it had was a few extra buttons

Set up was easy and it is very compact. Wish it had feature to allow you to select channel by number . Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Perfect for the person who hates having 2+ remotes. Only downside is it only work for my TV and not surround system, but definitely great for a bedroom or office

It doesn't fit the remote very well. It comes with extra holders but decided to return.

We recently got ris of cable and decide on PSVue, requiring us to get a streaming device for our Son. So, I bought this in conjunction with my Roku, thinking that it would serve somewhat like a universal remote that held the Roku remote. Was I mistaken. It allows "some" universal functionality, but you have to program EVERY action that you want it to do and it only allows you to program 8 buttons. So in order to control the channel (2), the volume (2), access the TV (1), the TV's smart function (1), access the smart menu (1), navigate the menu (1), select the PSVue app (1) I'm already over the button capacity...requiring me to still have to use the TV remote...I took it back after that day of trying to set it up...too much of a hassle....decent idea, just not enough capability...

Just as advertised. Bought on sale at BB; shipped to my home on time, and packaged very well for shipment.

Great addition to any DVR remote that does not control other devices. It is very easily programmed.

It's great to add TV control functionality to your standard Roku remote. However it does make it a little bulky.

the size variations of the attachments that come with this product make for a seamless intergration with old remote.

Although it only has 8 buttons it really comes in handy for an added remote that's fully programmable. Has very good range also.
