Sorry I bought this attachment. It’s totally useless and unnecessary.

I could not get this programmed. I will try again if they improve the product. It would make it easier to use the roku and tv if it worked.

This is a “shell” you pop the remote you have at home into it. Difficulty setting up...returned it ASAP DISASTER

Honestly completely disappointed. Followed all instructions and could not get it to program necessary buttons for my tv remote.

there are other universal remotes that work with streaming devices like the Roku...

It just couldn’t accommodate all of the buttons on one of my remotes. Definitely, a disappointment.

Returned. Does not work with Samsung and LG Smart TVs.

Will return item. Ordered on line. Doesn’t meet my needs.

Wanted to love this sideclick but didn’t work with my Sony tv.

Followed instructions to synch with remote. Did NOT work.

This add-on for your streaming device is great, if you want to control basic functions. The reason I say this, is that, you only have 8 buttons to configure. It will not be enough to configure all the buttons on your tv remote. This device is also meant for controlling your tv and 1 streaming device. If you have multiple streaming devices, I recommend this add-on for each streaming device remote. One tip I came across, I was trying to program remote with batteries that were not fully charged and I kept getting failures in programing. Once I put fully charged batteries it was very simple as manual described.

I was an original backer of the Sideclick both the first round that failed and the second round that was successful. It has turned out to be a great addition to my home theater. Now there is no more looking for the TV remote when the TV wants to turn off for power savings in the middle of a movie. No more switching to the AVR remote to change the volume or mute. I really like how ALL the buttons can be program to what ever device/function you want. I would warn anyone reading this review that: 1} the buttons can be kind of stiff and pressing too hard can cause the Sideclick to pop off (be careful), and 2} there are several clips in the box for different styles of Roku remotes. The instructions didn't really specify which one was which but I can assure you that, for the Roku 3 at least, there is one that fits perfect. If yours doesn't, try a different one.

We have multiple Roku's, each connected to a TV with its own overly complex, multi-button remote. This simple add-on provides power on/off, volume and mute control in one simple package that, as a bonus, will be the same for all the TV's in the house. WILL be buying more!! Note: we do not have overly complicated component or audio set-ups, but there are more buttons I'm not even using!

A 5 star product?? Umm ... No. I was thrilled that a gadget like this even existed so I ordered it within minutes of reading all the rave reviews. It is very easy to setup? You bet, point click, click. Very cool I wish all remotes were this easy. It covers the earphone jack, I don't like that but I can live with it because I don't use the headphones much anyway. I love the simplicity of the Roku remote. The obvious problem no audio control add this and you solve that problem. The rub is that it feels flimsy and is easily knocked off my Roku4 remote. Maybe if I use a zip tie to strap them together it would feel more stable At the end of the day, Is it better than dealing with two remotes? I guess time will tell, but it's definitely not a 5 star product. That rating should be reserved for truly exceptional products, this is not one of those ... at least not yet

I should start by saying that I backed this product on Kickstarter nearly 1 year ago. I've been using it on my Roku 3 and (1st model) Roku stick. The idea is basically a "DIY Universal remote". First thought: Fantastic! But, the clip itself feels flimsy and the add-on remote feels loose of the clip/mount and the whole thing slides up and down the Roku remote. Also, it's not all that ergonomic. My biggest complaint about this device is that it completely covers the remote's headphone jack! Look, I wanted to like, no, love this product! I'm sick of having to use 2 remotes just to watch the tele, and honestly, I still do use it. I'd give it 3.5 stars if it were possible.

I thought the idea was so obvious, but the design and integration made it seem genius, to put the functions you need from your television remote onto my Apple TV, Roku, and Fire TV. Even the thought to make the adapter the variable part so that switching devices was as easy as putting on a new adapter, rather then buying a whole new unit. The extra ones I bought were for presents, they were perfect for people that never knew they needed or wanted them... I get told regularly how much my family and extended family loves theirs, and how it makes it easier for everyone from children to grandparents. It has a very intuitive programing function that makes setup a breeze, and even easy to just change the functionality of one button with out starting all over. Anyway I was an original backer from the first and second campaign on Kickstarter, this is a good product, made by good people, that had a solution to a modern day catch 22 (can I use my Roku if I can't find my TV remove), and turned it into a well made, thoughtfully designed, durable product that can survive the destructive capabilities of young children. Even my wife who complains about every purchase or new thing in the house... Thinks it's great, and anything that pleases a 9 month pregnant women without sugar, deserves a prestigious award. Perhaps in this case that award should be your leap of faith to try it. Thanks
