Customers are saying

Customers admire the Universal Attachment for Roku® Streaming Player Remote for its easy setup, convenience, and the ability to control both the Roku and TV with one remote. The programmable buttons and volume control are also well-received features. However, some users find the attachment to be bulky and covering the headphone jack, while others mention that programming the buttons can be a bit tricky.

I have had the Sideclick for a few months now and it is exactly what I needed, simple universal remote attached right to my Roku remote. Easy to program and quality buttons. Thanks Sideclick!

fantastic addition for any streaming device

I bought a SideClick for my AppleTV, one for my Roku, and one for my Amazon Fire. Have absolutely loved using all of them, as it allows me to set aside my bulky AV receiver remote that I used to have to keep around (and have in the other hand to change the volume) when using these devices. As an added bonus, with smaller remotes like the AppleTV or Fire stick, I think it actually makes the remote more ergonomic and fit in my hand. Love that the buttons are all programmable, and that it's super easy to set up.

The Sideclick clips firmly to my Roku 3 remote, programs very easily, and has just enough buttons for simple tasks, like power to the TV, volume on my receiver, and a couple left over!

I was part of the Kickstarter campaign and got one of the first runs. I have 3 of them now. 2 for Apple TV's and one for Roku. They are easy to put together, and just as easy to program. Great little product.

I bought my Sideclick on Kickstarter forever ago and was thrilled when it finally arrived. I no longer have multiple remotes floating around my bed! This thing is easy to set up and super simple to use.

    Not Realistically Multi-device

Product Features section on the web page claim: "8 buttons can be programmed over multiple devices. No need to keep your remotes for the TV, Sound Bar, Receiver, or Blu Ray player lying around." That misled me into thinking I could set up most of those devices all together on this gizmo, but it turns out that each of the 8 buttons can only be defined for ONE function on ONE device. I had thought there would be some sort of device switching button/function to have multiple functions per button depending on the device "selected", but it is much more simplistic than that. I did manage to define 4 basic functions for each of 2 devices, but that is the best I could accomplish. I see now that I really should get a more powerful universal remote to provide what I expected from this one. You get what you pay for...

Bought this item when it was launched and did not regret it. Clips on with easy and is fully programmable. Allows me to control my TV and Roku all with 1 remote, without having to try and find the other remote. Perfect for those of us with pets that like to sit on our laps and leave us unable to grab more than one remote of a table :)

I backed this on kickstarter and use it on my Roku3 with the standard roku remote, not the Roku3 bluetooth remote. It fits the remote well and has just enough buttons for me to control my TV and soundbar. It also has the added benefit of making the Roku remote larger and thus a little harder to lose.

I got the roku sideclick for me, my dad, and my father in law, and we all love the sideclick. I originally got it via kickstarter, and it really lived up to the hype. Quick, responsive, solid, and has plenty of buttons for all of our needs. Highly recommend.

Love my Sideclick. If you are a "CordCutter", this will make streaming so much more convenient. Only need my streaming device and my sideclick to enjoy the best of TV without the cable.

1 remote and clips that fit all my Roku remotes. I was a beta tester during Kickstarter campaign and they just work. Program the buttons for your tv or avr. Quality construction and they look sleek

I cut the cord a while ago. Sideclick is a simple and elegant solution to the "too many remotes" problem. All of my old remotes are now collecting dust. Sideclick is perfect.

    No code programming

Thought this would be the solution to our TV Roku combo where we lost TV remote. But it wasn't. It only programs through old remote. No old remote - not working sideclick. It does not support searching for codes or entering codes. Also quite flimsy attachment to remote and feels like it could flip off of holder easily.

May not work for Cable/Satellite functions

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

According to the product website, this remote will not work to replace functions on many satellite/cable boxes since they may use a combo signal with both IR and RF commands. I tried to program my Motorola (Comcast) cable channel up/down function and was not able to do so. This will only work for IR commands ONLY!
