This would have been a great game if EA decided to not require an all ways online connection to their severs even when your playing by your self. So when the sever goes down so does you game.

I had high hopes for this game... EA no doubt rushed the release. There were huge server issues at first, most of those have been resolved though. What still remains is a semi-broken game with a lot of dumbed down gameplay compared to previous Sim City iterations. I would avoid the game until it gets patched to what it was supposed to be at release.

I know my review is plain but its true. ONLINE DRM FOR SINGLE PLAYER GAME AND THE SERVERS CRASH. THE WORST PART IS I LOVE TO PLAY THE OLDER SIMS. IN 10 YEARS YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY BECAUSE THEY WILL SHUTDOWN THE SERVERS. YOU CANT GET A REFUND, RESELL OR EXCHANGE THIS...EVER!

I've been a SimCity fan for decades now, unfortunately, this new version of SimCity has baffled me. I don't know what the fun is in a City Simulation when all you get are "Server Busy" errors. Just not as fun as the old days. I tried to figure out what the problem was by going to their FaceBook page, their website, even calling the company. Maybe that's the simulation. Ever try to fight city hall?

This version of SimCity has even better graphics and the opportunity to play with others online.

I've played Sim City 2000 and 3000, and both were phenomenal. I highly anticipated this game, and I am highly disappointed. I haven't even been able to play the game for more than 5 minutes because half the time I can't even log on to play. I hate to give a bad review to anything, but I have to in this case. I'll stick to 3000.

This game launched on Tuesday, it's now Thursday. I have yet to be able to actually play it for a single minute do to the servers being 100% unavailable. The only way this game could possibly be worse is if it caused my computer to explode and burn down my house.

I gave EA a break since it has been over a month since the game release, but alas... After about 2 hours, 5 program freezes, and 2 computer crashes, I FINALLY got their worthless "Origin" software to work. (Think of it as a cheap ripoff of "Steam") It took about another hour after that for me to even be able to type in my product key. Finally, I got the Origin software set up. Then the game wouldn't even download! It kept asking for me to approve the UAC request (which I did, dozens of times, and the screen just kept going back to the desktop). After about 2 hours of messing around with UAC settings (which I had NEVER had trouble with ANY program in the past), I contacted the company who sold it to me. Refund was granted on my first request. Stay away!

The game is fun and challenging. You need to build a city wile making everyone happy.

It works great at what works but there is a lot left out

Picked it up once all of the connection problems were fixed and really enjoyed the play so far.

As of 3/7 the game is literally unplayable. Amazon has stopped selling it. Best Buy should do the same. You cannot play the game offline. You must be connected to their servers over the Internet, and the servers are not working.

The game is great overall. Too bad the game will crash once in a while.

It doesn't work. To play you need to log into a server even to play as a single player, so if the servers are busy you can't play. Do a google search for this game and see the disaster.

The game worked the first time I tryed it, after 2 hours of trying to get it registered. Haven't been able to play it since. Their server is always buisy, ever in EU where the game is not even realest yet. You can't even play single player without being on line. And they will not refund your money.

Do not waste your money on this dog. EA has required players to be online for game play; but that is not possible since the servers are all overloaded.

Yes early on when the game first came out there were major issues with SimCity's servers. So yes the game could not be played and possible have your saved city deleted. But now as far as today all is good and works very well. Fun game!

You can not play SimCity, it has a always on internet connection required, and EA's servers are not up to the task of handling the load players are putting on their servers. So unless you just want to look at the box art, do not purchase.

C'mon folks, all games have issues upon initial release. Game play is deep, profound and full of options. If you liked Simcity you will LOVE this game!
