You buy the hotspot device for $50 and then you also have to buy the service for the hotspot which I purchased the more GB from the 2 choices Simple mobile offers at $50. It would not load my TV the kids said it lagged on their devices, and it lasted 1 day literally a waste of money. Do not recommend.

I used this in my College dorm. It loses power quickly, so keep it plugged in. It was excellent. It never failed me.

It’s a good hotspot for the price. Wish it was unlimited but the plans work well noticed it don’t work in some places I go but works in most, so that’s good with me.

I was hesitant to purchase my first hotspot, but now I'm glad I did. The registration was easy, and so was redeming my subscription. I do not get internet service while at work, but this hotspot does, and it has not failed me yet. I've used it for virtual Zoom classes, to listen to Spotify and watch TV shows on Hulu/Netflix with no issues. My current subscription is not up yet, so I can't comment on my experience renewing it, but I'm sure it will be as easy as the first time I redeemed my subscription.

I bought this to schedule a 101st birthday celebration zoom call from US to Australia and Canada. It worked perfectly. I will get more time when I go on vacation to a place with less consistent WiFi.

Excellent for our business needs to ensure no break in service.

This was great while traveling and working on the road, where there was signal. Now there are probably better options for a faster service.

This product could have gotten a five star rating if the plan wasn't so limited, as far as length of active service. But the amount to pay in order for it to stay active isn't so shabby of a deal.

Totally disappointed! Asked sales associate for hot spot to run my fire stick. Tried and tried to set it up kept telling me wrong password. Knew it was right. Took it to Greek squad because if you try with wrong password to many times it'll lock the sim card forever it says. Tried to get help thru the squad. Fella said their knowledge was really with computers not all gadgets. Well what was I paying for with the geek squad package? When I pouches that there was a while list of things they could do.. and that alone is like 200 bucks? The device came up on his phone. Weak signal though, even being right next to phone. Said that it probably wasn't strong enough to run the wifi signal for the firestick. I bought a card with 40GB.. $50.. Why did someone recommend this product knowing what I needed it for if it can't do the job? Was able to return the device, against policy they said. Only to get store credit. I was out the $50 for the wifi data card, because they said they weren't sure if i had used the data. Now how can i use the data of it wouldn't connect?? Not recommending this product.. nor the geek squad.

Battery barely lasts 3 hours of light use, I know it's stated 2,300 mAh, but this is bottom tier. You're getting what you've paid for tho. Also the setup process is horrendous as you've already probably heard.

Not good for live streaming on YouTube especially using OBS

Just terrible. After purchasing one, spending HOURS on the phone they could not activate it. Told me to go back to Best Buy and exchange it. Same exact issue with the new one. Simple Mobile says thry have to send a new SIM card in 5 to 7 DAYS. Total crap. Do not buy. A waste of time and money. Whoopie another trip to the store to return AGAIN and I have the fun fight about the unused data card I had to buy to activate it which has a "no returns policy." Wish I would have read the reviews and seen that this happens about 50% of the purchases. Good thing they aren't selling heart valves.

Hot spot is an easy way to get internet, no contract, uses Verizon network so it's reliable in most places in the US. Reasonably priced data. Battery needs charging fairly often but it's a minor issue for such an inexpensive device.

Bought it thinking it would come with a sample time of service, to see if it compatible with your devices as well as in the area you are aiming to use it, spoiler, it doesn't. But from all I have seen of of the packaging and the product itself, it is sturdy and feels like quality.
