The device is simple to setup. Purchase the data plan during setup because it is not the same a the phone plan sold at Best Buy. Works very well and is a great value considering the price.

Great product when you need internet today, not next week

I bought this to use at an exhibition where we had international colleagues. It has a good number of logins available and maintained a good speed, so all of my colleagues could check email etc. without any issues. It was a good buy.

I purchased this item in store. I attempted to activate but the SIM card showed me an error message. I called Simple Mobile support and was told I needed to return to the store to get a new SIM card. I did so, exchanged the entire device without issue, and still received an error when attempting to activate. I reached out to Simple Mobile again and was told that the SIM card on the new device had expired. Absolutely ridiculous.

So glad that I purchased this! I work from home and sometimes I need a backup if our internet goes down in middle of the day. It's got great internet speed and supports all my needs for busy work day.

Affordable sturdy product but does not have the best reception in remote locations need a strong secure connection to use this product. Set up is not so simple and often requires customer support to assist, and even hours of troubleshooting outlet and room swapping for better service. The affordable price reflects the pros and cons with this product.

This is the second exchange that i have had to made with this device and when trying to activate it is claiming that my SIM is already in use.. i will be returning this and requesting a full refund. Also upsetting that i already paid for a prepaid card that is now going to be unusable.. Used this device in the past and it worked great..

Battery barely lasts 3 hours of light use, I know it's stated 2,300 mAh, but this is bottom tier. You're getting what you've paid for tho. Also the setup process is horrendous as you've already probably heard.

I was very excited to get this item, as it was a solution for my RV trips that was within a reasonable budget. Unfortunately, upon receiving it, I went to activate it at simplemobile.com and received the error "We're sorry. The SIM card you are trying to activate is already active. Please enter another Simple Mobile SIM card number." When I called Simple Mobile, they indicated it needed to be re-scanned at the Best Buy store (I bought it online, so this wasn't really relevant). When speaking with Best Buy, they told me it must be a problem with the hotspot itself. In any case, it will be getting quickly returned!

Other then dying really quick it’s really good product.

Works great, fairly easy to set up-- I just had to go through the online process twice because it left me hanging the first time. Good battery life, saved my neck when my internet went down for a week at home, bought the 40gb 1-month plan with it.

This device served the purpose. While staying with my mother for an extended period of time, who doesn’t have Wi-Fi service, I purchased the Simple Mobile. I was able to connect easily and do everything on my phone, laptop, iPad which I needed to. It worked flawlessly.

Works fine, does what it says. Once you hit your data cap, the ISP doesn't let you add more data though? And reupping only adds next months service? Seems flawed in such a way as the device is essentially useless except for when you just start the service plan. It's also really expensive for 4G speeds. Hindsight, should have taken a hard pass
