Seriously slow, don't buy if you already have hotspotting on your mobile phone.

Guy at counter mentioned activation code would be included in the email receipt. It wasn't and after calling the store for code, they mentioned calling Simple Mobile would be the best course of action. After calling Simple Mobile, they too mentioned they couldn't provide the code and this issue has been consistent with BestBuy purchases. Not a fan of BestBuy nor SimpleMobile regarding this transaction/product.

Very convenient thing to buy !! Really good for a small office space !

This hotspot worked for exactly what we needed it to do. We hooked up a Blink camera to it to check in on our little dog while it was in a hotel room and we were out.

I don’t know what your looking for but for me it was perfect! Was able to connect my tv, phone, laptop, and my son iPad and it was no problem!

I love that this is non-contract, pay as you go hotspot. the display lets you know if you getting close to using all of your purchased data, connection is easy, I am able to use it on the go, when I don't want to use my phone as a hotspot.

I needed a hotspot but nothing so big or complicated. This was easy to setup. So far, I am very satisfied.

Very simple to set up and use. Relatively easy to add data to it. We did have to call simple mobile customer service for the second month. Worked as sold!

It just didn't work. I bought this item because my internet was out and I needed something. I tried to activate it but it didn't work. Eventually, I was able to get someone from Simple Mobile on the phone. They said that the item had been in the store too long so it couldn't be activated. Do yourself a favor and get something from Boost or Verizon if you need it to actually work.

Great back up just in case we live in the country and some times we have unexpected outages

This came in so handy when I went home to visit my mom who does not have internet. Easy to use. I need to add it to my new phone so that i can take it to my office.

The hotspot wouldn’t work. It was brand new but wouldn’t activate online because it said it was already activated. When I returned it the employee told me that most of these get returned for the same reason.

I was afraid at first from previous reviews, but this works great for me. I work from home and it moves fast for me

I broke my internet connection, and it was going to be 3 days before the vendor could get out to fix it, with two people WFH, I needed an option, and phone hot spots were not it. I picked this up, with a 40GB data pack, and it worked great. We had 2 work laptops, often both on calls, and two home computers linked up to it, and in the evening we streamed shows on the TV over this connection. Note: You do need to create an account in order to activate this, therefore you need an internet connection to get started. You may be able to use the Simple Mobile app, but I didn't try. Setup and activation took a few minutes, and after a reboot I was online and ready to go. I put this in the middle of the house upstairs, and it reached everywhere that it was need, it has a surprisingly good wi-fi signal.

Best Buy shipped without scanning to activate mobile hot spot and have to wait another 24-48 hours after contacting Simple Mobile to try and activate it. You have to email a copy of purchase receipt in order to get it activated. Will have to wait to see how long that will take. The device is fine and service works great as I have used this exact one before, this is a Best Buy problem.

So great. Best portable wifi ever. Not one issue. I might buy another one just in case this one breaks.

After paying $50 for this device and then $50 for 40gb of 5g, I had to make multiple calls to heavily accented help workers who were not able to tell me how many gigs I had used or how to get off the 2.4g to the 5g. After only two weeks and six hours of usage, the device no longer connected even though it was supposed to last for 30 days. There is no way I used 40gb in 6 hours and if I did that's a complete scam and waste of money. The device feels like it is 25 years behind the times. Don't waste your money on it.

I am a first timer, so far it's working great. Wish the card last until data ended.
