If you have the DVD you may think twice before buying this Blu-ray. The extras are similar...BUT the reason to buy this is the TRANSFER to high-def. The result is beautiful! If you are happy with the DVD stay with it. If you want the best picture, buy the Blu-ray.

After 31 years, Sixteen Candles is still a go to movie for me. Out of all the John Hughes Teen movies.. it is by far my favorite. Definitely a good idea to get the movie in BluRay, picture is far better than the one on the DVD.

loved it. it makes me laugh so hard the only thing is don't let your kids watch it its says PG but i think around the time it was relase the world didnt foucus on that stuff of the ratings like now.. but over all its a great movie will watch it over and over.

Amazon had this on line 3 weeks early. Got and watched my copy. Loved the 80's John Hughes films..This look great on blu! I doubt will ever look any better..A definite upgrade!!!!

I had not seen this before but when I saw it with my cousin I loved it! it was a classic "girl likes guy but doesn't know the guy liked her all along!"

This is classic 80's cinema. I'm proud to say I grew up in the best time for toys, games and movies, and this one is up there with the Breakfast Clubs and Blues Brothers.

a movie worth watching. molly ringwald is the best. anthony michael is very funny. michael shooefling is so gorgeous. very funny movie. the best teen movie ever that inspired so many teen movies today.

I grew up watching all the moldy oldy movies from this era. add to your collection, not a fan of the "latest" movies similar to this movies...just my opinion!

This is the cutest movie, it really reminds me of how I fellt when I was in high school and how I always ended liking guys who were very unatainable and somwhat out of my leauge. This would be a great movie to watch with friends.

Ok so I saw this in theatres but its till a favorite- classic teen movie, every teen should watch this to show people are not perfect

Excellent movie, a definite must see. Molly Ringwald was great! One of those teen movies that you have to see. Incredibly funny.

This is one of the great, iconic, 1980's Classics.

Just as we remember it, good movie for watching if you want fair entertainment.
