These earbuds are junk

Two pairs have already stopped working. Best Buy would not take them back because it was more than 30 days since purchase. Instead, one son decided to buy another pair and pay the additional charge for the warranty. Are you kidding me? Earbuds are not disposable and should last at least a year. My next step is to contact SkullCandy and see if they stand behind their product.
