No good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like all the ear buds I've bought, from not only Best Buy, they fail at the plug. I'll be returning them for a refund.

Excellent earbuds,
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These earbuds lasted me for a little over a year and a half, until just recently the left earbud blew out. I would use them fairly frequently with my phone and my laptop and was not very forgiving with the bass levels and the volume. They sound great overall, and they seemed to last longer than any other pair of earbuds I have had before. There is one problem though, I got the ones with the play/pause, volume up/down, skip/back track and mic, and none of that works with android. And I own no Apple products at all, so that isn't of much use to me is it. Please fix that problem skullcandy.

Killer for Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are a terrific value. Excellent low end, mids and highs fine as well. The fact that I can use the Mic with my EVO4G is a major convenience, even though the volume button doesn't work. The Mic works, and that is most important as far as I am concerned. I purchased and returned headphones costing a little more than these. I had the Klipsch, Sennheiser's, Bose...I don't find a substantial difference between these and any of those. The cord on the Klispch's is paper thin, which I wasn't crazy about. All in all, these are as I said a terrific value, and I cannot imagine anyone being dissatisfied with these given the price and performance. Definitely recommended.

Great sound quality on both ends
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The audio quality is great, whether listening to music or on a phone call. I was particularly surprised by the fact that people on the other end of my call couldn't hear any ambient noise. I was walking around outside on a windy day, along a busy street with construction going on. The ear buds fit comfortably and block out much of the sound around me so all I'm hearing is either the call I'm on or the music I'm playing. My only complaint is that the volume and track changing controls don't seem to work, but that could be because of my older Android phone.

Fantastic Headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: - Superb Bass and Sound Quality with music/podcasts - Styling and Build Quality - Built in Mic excellent clearity when used with phone - Volume control is convenient - The earplugs stay put in your ear when working-out/ in motion etc, not like some other headphones whose plugs come right off with a slight/moderate level of movement - Pricing (Can't be beat under $50) Cons: None so far

Great headphones for my phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When buying new headphones, I was really looking for something with a mic on it. I listen to Pandora on my phone probably about 3-4 hours a day at work, and these have been awesome. I really like the fit and the sound, they block a lot of surrounding noises. Sometimes I don't even notice when other employees are talking to me! The mic is also phenomenal. I don't use it too often, but when I do it's quite amazing. There isn't any weird feedback and the other person doesn't even notice I'm using a mic. The cons are, I don't use an iPhone. I have an HTC Evo 4G and the volume buttons do not correspond on the phone, but it's not a big deal by any means. And I do wish they had different sizes for the bud attachments, but there's not a lot I can do about that.

Great for casual listening, not for jogging.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The noise cancelling works great. Maybe too good for use while jogging / running. They completely drown out any outside noise which is a good thing. Problem is that while running, I can hear the wire smacking against my chest, even hear myself breathing over the music. So I guess I really have no complaints, except the fact that they're not compatible with exercise, which is what I bought them for. As far as sound quality goes, so/so at best. Too much bass, not enough clarity on the highs.

Fantastic sound quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've considered myself an audiophile for over 20 years. These ear buds really deliver on sound quality. I listen to classical all the way to SKA. The comfort is to the point where I do not even feel them. (two sizes of ear bud covers are included.) I have an iPod classic gen 5 and the earbuds control it w/o any problems. The earbud control unit also works w/o probs with my iPhone4s. Length of cord is excellent. I have a mountain bike and I do not need to use the armband. I put my iPod in my tool kit mounted under the saddle and I do not have any problems moving my head/body while still being able to listen to the iPod.

Great for everyday use travel for sound and calls
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use these daily mostly for handsfree calls when i'm driving or on conference calls. I think these are fantastic and travel well. I got tired of using blue tooth headsets because of charging, connecting, and sound quality. I also use them occasionally for snowboarding because of the music controller and size and haven't been disapointed. These have been fantastic.

Amazing sound quality and bass!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never thought I would do a review because it would be a waste of time, but I have to admit I couldn't resist to write a review about this Skullcandy 50/50 Earbud Headphones. When you're listening to any kind of music, the sound is clear and crisp. Not only is it clear and crisp but the bass is AMAZING, that's the reason why I bought this product and am putting up a review right now. Save your money, don't by Dr. Dre or Bose! These 50/50 is like a combination of Dr. Dre bass and Bose clear sounds!

Good performance for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use these headphones when riding my mountain bike. I keep one out while on the paved trails so I can hear what's going on around me, but put both in while out on single-track. Good fit and they don't vibrate out. Good bass and highs, to my ears, but I don't crank the volume too high, as high volume levels are bad for hearing maintenance. Overall, these were a good purchase.

Awesome & Impressive Headphones.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.((**THIS REVIEW IS IN REFERENCE TO PERSONAL LISTENING PREFERENCE**)) I got these after a bout of going through a pair of SkullCandy Smokin' Buds that I enjoyed for about a year. They finally gave out after strenuous daily usage and the left ear bud started shorting out. I believe this was caused by the strain on the cord near the line jack. I also had a pair of Denon AH-C360's that were okay at best and took them back after a day. I thought they would have been a lot better coming from a company like Denon, but they were not what I wanted (See my review on them) So I decided to come back to SkullCandy, a company I've purchased from before and familiar with and was not disappointed. Sound Quality: At first listen these babies are fantastic. I plugged them into my iPhone 4 and they just blew me away, even bringing I nice little smirk to my face. These don't support highs very well though. But what it lacks in high-end sound it makes up for in the mids, which are spot on, but it's the bottom-end on these that is just amazing for an in-ear headphone. The sound comes in full bodied and crisp and also picks up detailed sound very well (ie. background and dynamic sounds in the song). I use these for everything from casual listening, walking, going to the gym etc. and I wanted something that would sound good coming from my iPhone 4 which is what I use them with 95% of the time. Through MP3 playback on a media device such as the iPhone, iPod, Zune, etc. music comes from compressed audio files that limit "full effect" music experience. So I wanted a good pair of headphones that would enhance the listening experience on my iPhone and these deliver 110%. I plugged them up to my Klipsch THX amplifer on my desktop and these things crank, hard and driving. I was absolutely impressed with how well they handled sound coming from CD playback through an amplifier. Style: Aesthetically these things are quite beautiful, personally. Clean, and sleek with the chrome SkullCandy logo on the side of both earphones. They have a "coiled" look right where the rubber grommet meets the casing which is cool looking too. Construction: These things seem to be made well. But this is where my gripes will come with these. As I mentioned earlier, I replaced my previous Smokin' Buds because the left ear started shorting out so SkullCandy, with me, had a point deduction in the durability column. I'll have to wait and see how these hold up in the future. The "in-line" remote/mic sits pretty high, right under my chin if I'm looking straight ahead. On my iPhone 4, the volume control DOES NOT WORK. This is just a minor annoyance since it doesn't really bother my that much, but if you think it will bother you just be aware of this. The pause/play/answer button works fine though. The coating on the wire also prevents tangling if you wad them up and throw them in your pocket or backpack like I do all the time, which is nice. Comfort: These things sit in the ear nicely. They stay in pretty well too, no problems of them falling out at the gym or on the treadmill. Also, the noise isolating properties work well with these, something that my past two pairs lacked, which is awesome. I can barely hear myself talk if I have them in and nothing is playing and I don't have to turn them up extremely loud to drown out distracting peripheral noise. Overall, the 50/50's are pretty great. They are pretty comparable the the SkullCandy TiTan's which I've used before, I just didn't like the styling of them. They both offer the same specifications with the 11mm driver, 20-20 frequency and 16ohm pressure. The 50/50 also have the "in-line" remote/mic that previously only the Full Metal Jacket's had. I'd give the 50/50's an 8 out of 10. I really like these headphones.

Nice buds for the price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy the sound of these 50/50's. Nice features with in-line volume and pause as well as microphone when using my cell phone. The only draw back of these buds are they are not sound cancelling. My Full Metal Jackets and Titans have the sound cancelling feature which enhances the listening experience. If you plan on using the ear buds in a semi noisey environment I would purchase either the Titans or Full Metal Jackets.

Good But, Not for Me
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first pair of mic'd headphones, I recently purchased these and put off reviewing for a few weeks to give a good test. First, I really like the sound, very good bass and sounds great. The few times I have used them for calls was very good, but in this regard, the bass sounded a little too much and my callers sounded like they had deeper voices. My real reason for the low comfort rating is that I cant get them to stay in my ears. This is not unique, I am currently looking for a good pair to use while mowing, running, and working out (and to listen to on a plane) but no combinatin of the 3 sizes of ear buds seem to work for my ear. I am going to try a different style, so I will be returning. But when I am stationary and they stay in, they are very good.

Good so far....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very pleased with the quality of sound, and the comfort of these headphones. But with any mid-priced headphone, the make or break point is usually durability. These seem to be holding up well, but I only have had them for a few weeks. So far so good, but I can't honestly give five stars unless they stay together for a few months.
