    Skull-thumping headphones with surprising clarity!

First off, these are full-size circumaural headphones that fit completely around your ears. The ear cups are covered with memory foam ear cushions that do an admirable job of isolating noise. It doesn't quite provide noise cancelling isolation but it's pretty darn close! The headphones themselves feature wireless Bluetooth connectivity, call, audio track, and volume controls, a backup AUX cable with Microphone and remote, and a bass slider on one of the ear cups that allows you to adjust to amount of brain-rattling bass to your individual tastes. Stereo Haptic bass modules buried in each ear cup are what's responsible for the enhanced, skull-thumping bass. My wife, a self-professed bass head loves these cans. In fact, she can't stop saying enough good things about them. Myself, well, I'm more of a Bowers and Wilkins kind of guy. Still, these cans had me intrigued. I decided that I couldn't do a proper review without testing them myself. Placing the bass slider all the way down resulted in sound that I found to be heavy on the bass. Surprisingly, all that bass wasn't able to wash out the midrange or the highs. They're still there, they're just a wee bit muffled by all that bass. Turning the bass enhancer up even a little muddied the sound far too much for my tastes. However, enabling Treble Booster in iTunes went a long way towards evening things out. Finally, I turned off the wireless and connected the Crushers to my Apogee Groove AMP/DAC which dramatically improved the overall sound considerably. Sure, the sound was still bass heavy, but the Groove really mellowed it out and brought out the midrange and highs. If you're a bass head, these are the headphones for you. If you're a bass head who wants a little clarity then these are for you too! Skip the Beats folks and grab a pair of these head-stomping Crushers!

I love these headphones. SkullCandy really raised the bar with this bass technology. Here's my pros and cons: PROS Sound quality - Hi end with great treble and mids as well as bass. If you turn the bass up too loud on a bass heavy song the mids and highs will be drowned some but that's expected. Most songs I listen to don't require me to turn it up all the way. The bass switch does truly bring a movie theatre experience when watching shows and movies. Bass - You can add great bass to songs that normally wouldn't have so much. It's great and it really brings out the power in songs. Even classical music will have great bottom end brought to it. Battery life - Lasts a very long time in Blutooth. Sound cancelling - While not as good as Bose, you get a decent amount of auto noise cancellation from these. CONS Lower frequencies - For anyone who knows about hertz, these headphones will pick up low frequencies great when the bass knob is turned down and the overall sound is the most balanced, but when you turn it up, only bass frequencies around 45HZ and up are emphasized. Below 45HZ doesn't get much of a boost which was a bit of a disappointment since I listen to artists like Bass Patrol and Bass Hit that drop the bass deep a lot. Sudden shut off - When the battery dies, there's no warning of low battery. It just dies. Thankful for the wired connection available. Comfort - These headphones fit pretty tight so after a moment it gets a little uncomfortable to wear. Overall great buy. I was able to get them on sale for $150 which was great.

I have seen some complaints about these headphones not being very durable, and breaking or cracking easily. I don't know if that is a unit defect or if that is due to harsh use of the headphones. Either way, headphones generally won't last more than may 2 years before they start having issues due to regular use unless you are very VERY gentle and careful with them. That being said, Even if mine happen to break somehow I purchased the protection plan so no sweat :). I think they sound really nice! I love the bass adjustment feature as well! really makes music pop! I'm coming from an old pair of Beats solos, which are nice, but frankly they hurt my ears after 30 min or so of use because they don't go over the ears like these. These look great, feel great and sturdy in my hands, and sound great. I'm very happy with them. I'd say go for it if you are on the fence about these.

with my music all thew way up and feeling that punch bass, dam!.. I love it. Battery is amazing, they are comfortable and I really prefer the mechanical slicer on the side than the touch from 360s. This has my 100% recommend!.... if you love the bass.

I actually bought these for my son for Christmas, but went back to BB to make sure they were better than the beats he wanted. I liked the price of these better, so I was really hoping they would be good, especially since I got them when they were $99.99. They are amazing. They sounded better than any beats they had on display. I have beats, and now I want these. I'm even willing to pay full price for them. I got lucky, snagging these when I did because the sale price didn't last very long. Bass actually vibrates your head, but not in a bad way. I could barely hear any sound leakage, unlike my beats, where everyone around me can hear what I'm listening to. Must've been horrible for people sitting next to me on a plane. I was all set to pick up some Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless, but these changed my mind. For the price, I'm absolutely blown away. I really can't wait to get my own after the holidays. Just try them and see for yourself.

I have the tan headphones and to begin with they look and feel amazing! The only downside is the wire that they have along the side but that doesn't interfere with anything. Next up the sound quality is actually really great. Of course the headphones are made for Bass and they are incredible in that aspect but the highs and mids aren't to bad either. These are extremely comparable with Sony's headphones and JBL and I find them better than anything they make. Bose of course makes really crisp headphones and quality but for triple the price and these blow Beats out of the water. I use the gym quite a bit and people ask me what headphones they are and I tell them the brand and I even tell them if they want to try them and they're blown away they just look and sound amazing. I would've bought the new 360 skullcandy crusher but I couldn't wait any longer and got these before they released.

    “Bass” but no clarity

I have spent some time with the Skull Candy Crusher 3.0 headphones. First impressions were bad while unboxing. These things were sealed like Fort Knox. It has a hard plastic that was shrunk onto the headphones and sealed shut it took me like 30+ minutes to get them out. Once they were out I was able to finally test them. They connected via Bluetooth with no issue. Immediate impressions of the headphones sound quality is they are not special. They are lacking clarity but they do have “Bass”. The reason for the quotation marks is it uses the vibration in the headphones to create a simulated bass. It does have a slider so you can turn it up or down but at makes you basically have a vibrating mess. I feel these are good for a younger crowd that just want that sensation of a lot of bass in their music. Them being wireless makes them good for possibly working out or work around the house. The skull crusher live up to the namesake they do crush your head with “bass”. But if you are looking for clarity it’s not for you.

These are one of the best pair of headphones They create incredible bass the battery life is amazing It has the option to be wired and wireless And a best deal for the discount sale price $150 The only down side is noise isolation is not as great as Bose you're only getting a little bit of isolation.

I went to my best buy store ready to pay this for the price of $200. Only to be surprised that i only have to pay $99. Wow. I was overjoyed cause i have been excited for this Skullcandy Wireless Crusher. Either way, with a wireless headphone like this, that comes with a vibrating bass, i also wouldn't mind losing my $200. When i had my first crusher, it was awesome, listening with it makes me feel as if i was at a concert. Anyway, this latest crusher is worth it. Compared to its ancestors, its lightweight and wireless. Exactly how i wanted it to be since my first crusher that comes with AA Battery compartment and wire. The foam also feels good around the ears, its really soft and the rest of what comes with the frame.

I never though skullcandy can come up with amazing sound quality with warm bass response. The bass can be adjustable in both wired and bluetooth mode which is a plus if headset is out of battery. once more thing i noticed is none of bluetooth headsets offer mic when using it in wired mode where as skullcandy is offering it. Great addition to this headset is the battery life 40hrs of battery life. What else you need just put your money down and grab these headphones. I noticed that there is no aptx or other advanced codec support but who needs it as very few phones are offering it and also most of us are using streaming apps like spotify or apple music. Reliable connection, best battery life and better value for money

I was skeptical when buying these because I was really wanting the BOSE noise cancelling headphones and I had previously had the cheaper Skullcandy on-ear headphones ($59.99) and was not impressed with those. However, I didn't want to spend $349.99 on the BOSE headphones. I decided to give these a try and am so happy I did. I got them on sale for a pretty good price and they are comfortable and have great sound quality. The base quality is ridiculous on these. You can adjust the base and when it is all the way up the headphone vibrate on my head.

These are just a tad overpriced in comparison to the beats studios when they are on sale and other noise cancelling headsets BUT.....these things BANG. The bass slider better hold up because you will be using it frequently if you have a diverse taste in music. The build quality is solid and they fit really well if you go to the gym. The bass is absurd and so much fun. Can get a little distorted at high levels with some songs but these headphones are excelllent. If you love bass try them. Much better than the Sony extra bass

After my Monster DNAs died on me, I was on the fence about getting the Bose headphones vs the beats studio. Went to Best Buy and then came across these Skullcandy headphones and tested them out. Ended up choosing these Skullcandy headphones due to the price and the bass slider! The super bass headphone with the slider is pretty nifty. The overall build quality is nice and the cushions are amazing. For the price and quality, it's a good deal. I definitely will be using these for a while.
