I go through headphones and earphones like crazy and I consider myself to be the stuck-up audiophile type. My current collection includes some higher-end Sony and Sennheiser phones. I would ordinarily turn my nose up at Skullcandy headphones, but I have to admit these are my current favorite “fun” sound signature phones and I enjoy them for general listening. Although they’re plastic, they seem well built. The headband is metal and has good but not overwhelming clamp force. The ear cups have a nice semi-gloss look to them and what little branding is present is very understated. I do have some concern with the swivel hinges over time, but so far so good. When I move my head there is absolutely no creaking. The ear cups are a tasteful brown faux leather (I think it’s faux..). My wife who has no opinions on headphones thought they looked sharp and distinctive. The real story here is the sound. Of course they have the potential to completely shake your skull thanks to the haptic bass. There’s a slider on the left cup that controls the amount of bass. At higher levels the headphones vibrate (on purpose) to provide an extra “punch.” The bass is punchy and strong. If you turn it all the way down there is no vibration and the headphones sound surprisingly neutral. Highs are exactly the way I like them; slightly elevated and sparkly but not fatiguing at all. Overall the sound signature is a fun V-Shape that worked well with many styles of music. If you like hard rock or EDM, theses are your cans! The coolest part is the companion app that gives you a quick hearing test and sets the response curve on the headphones to your particular hearing. You can set up more than one preset, too. I came down with a nasty head cold a few days after setting them up, so I set up another profile to go with my stuffed-up ears. After I got over it I went back to my “normal” profile. Very cool! These come with a charging cable (USB-C. Glad to see everything standardizing!) and a wired cable if plugging directly into a headphone jack, Also included is a very nice hard case. It’s a bit difficult to get them into the case, but the case itself is nice and thin to fit into a bag easily.

These are OK, but if you want better headphones go look for some Sony studio or AKG headphones.

It’s a good head phone.. but it seems soo fragile.. swivel too easy and it’s light weight.. too scary!!

Okay, but the bass is too rough not as tight and punchy as the Evo’s. I ultimately returned this.

Oh cool, you saw a reviewer on YouTube talking about how much of a game-changer these were. They're not. The bass is absent. You add it in. That means the headphones move around on your head and cause distortion. Also you cant listen to anything like that.

Skullcandy makes my favorite earbuds so when I saw that they were offering a noise cancelling, over-the-ear option I jumped at the chance to try them out. Spoiler alert - these things rock! The packaging is first rate and everything you need is in the box. You get a charging cable and another cable with 3.5mm jacks for hardwired use. The unit had enough of a charge out of the box to allow me to complete the setup. Bluetooth pairing was quick and easy and the Skullcandy app downloaded and installed without a hitch. After startup the app searched for and found the headphones without any problems. The next step was a pleasant surprise. The app walked me through setting up a personalized profile that was tuned to my hearing! Basically the app walks you through a series of tones for each ear. You press a button onscreen to tell the app if you can hear the tone or not and the app creates an "equalized" profile specific to your ears. This reminded me of going to the audiologist and I was very impressed with the results. The headband is padded and the earpads are of a high quality, soft leather-like material that makes these very comfortable to wear. All of the customary controls are mounted on the cups' surface to allow you to adjust the volume, change tracks and answer the phone. Everything worked perfectly. Battery life seems quite generous and charging is very easy via a USB-C port. The only thing we even noticed is that if you wear glasses the pressure from the headband on the bows can get uncomfortable after a long listening session. In summary - Skullcandy has another winner with the Crusher.

These headphones are dangerous don't buy them you will feel like the world is spinning because of the enormous bass power in your ears like a car system.

Power button went out after 1 month of use ... And this is my second pair .. First pair went out after 3 Months.. Still trying to get them replaced ..

Usually Skullcandy has a pretty good product but I was not impressed with these at all. Actually took them back in a couple days and went with the Bose Q35.

The product seems fine; however, my vinyl tire was torn. This is a brand new house and now I have 2 large tears.

I’m usually a Bose guy, but I took the plunge on Skullcandy because it looked C O O L. Strike 1 - The multi-personalized setting feature is misleading because IT DOES’T SAVE THE ACUTE PARAMETERS that you spent 15 minutes (each) setting up; Strike 2 - The easy-to-switch passive to ambient noise function crapped out after the THIRD use; Strike 3 - volume+sound is mediocre at best! Don’t be a fool....Don’t purchase these!

These headphones were meant to be the next age since the crusher 360 yet they fall flat. For starters there is a constant Hiss in the headphone even in ambiance mode.in addition the ear cups are smaller than any crusher. The battery life last like 10hrs in noise canceling. Overall it is a step down and a failure try Sony

Love the look of these but quality for the price not worth it. Last scull candys I ever buy.

Had to return did not work with TV not sure if TV is the problem or earphones spending that kind of money i would think I would be able to listen to the TV independently without bothering others I am told cannot do that earphones disturb the TV makes no sense

WOW, I've never had headphones that you can hear and feel the bass. It was really amazing, I think I had them on for like three hours listening and sampling different types of music. I feel having bass you can feel and hear brings out the clarity of the mids and high notes. Noise canceling feature works quite well. It mutes out external sounds. This headphone sets the benchmark where all my future headphones will be measured up to. Totally blown away and in awe of how awesome these Skullcrusher ANC operate and bluetooth connectivity was a breeze. The black and brown color scheme make it look high end as it sounds.

Hubby hated they. Bass level is off. I returned them..
