Review of Skullcandy Crusher Evo Headphones The Skullcandy Crusher Evo headphones are a compelling choice for bass lovers, blending powerful audio features with a sturdy design. Here’s a breakdown of their performance and features: Sound Quality The highlight of the Crusher Evo is its haptic bass slider, which allows users to adjust bass intensity. At lower settings, the bass remains clear and balanced, while higher settings deliver a pounding, immersive experience. However, at maximum bass, the sound can become muddy. The mids and highs are surprisingly clear, offering a warm sound signature suitable for various genres. Comfort and Design These over-ear headphones feature a premium build, with memory foam earcups and a leather-padded headband. They are comfortable for extended wear, though they might feel slightly heavy for some. The controls, including volume, playback, and bass adjustment, are intuitive and conveniently placed. Battery and Connectivity With an impressive 40-hour battery life and fast-charging support, these headphones are ideal for long usage. Bluetooth 5.0 ensures stable connectivity, though the lack of multipoint pairing (connecting to multiple devices simultaneously) is a drawback. They are also compatible with the Skullcandy app for EQ customization. Drawbacks While the headphones excel in sound quality, they lack active noise cancellation, making them less suitable for noisy environments. Additionally, the bass-focused tuning may not appeal to audiophiles looking for a neutral sound profile. Conclusion At around $200, the Skullcandy Crusher Evo headphones are an excellent option for bass enthusiasts and casual listeners seeking a dynamic listening experience. While they lack noise cancellation and some advanced features, their sound customization and battery life make them a solid choice.

I bought these mostly for the gym but I absolutely fell in love with them. Theyre comfortable and stay on with pretty vigorous movement. The sound quality is really amazing and I love the adjustable bass level. I decided to use these temporarily as gaming headphones. I love that I can plug them in without turning them on and they work, however they aound better turned on. The battery life has blown me away! Ive used them for several days of gaming both turned on and off, and with my phone and they are still full on battery.

I bought 3 pairs. I gave a pair to my dad, one of my friends, and I of course had a pair. The audio quality I would give a 8/10. BASS potential: 12/10 Headband: 2/10 The bass was my favorite part of them. I returned mine to get the anc 2 version to see if would be more comfortable. While the headband is significantly more comfortable on the anc 2, the bass was severely diminished. I maxed out eq and crusher mode and cut off the anc on them, yet the bass was still bad. My only complaint about the crusher evo is that the headband physically hurts on the top of the head if you dont have a lot of hair. These are probably the heaviest headphones on the market, but I honestly didnt mind that. The bass made these 100% worth a buy. I will more than likely buy another pair in the future as soon as I find someone to give my anc 2 to. These crusher evo's are the definition of gym headphones in my eyes. The heavy head rattling bass combined with the annoying headpain honestly just put me in a mood to want to lift something heavy and destroy some weights in the gym. If you are a gymrat and want something to get you in the mindset, I HIGHLY reccomend these for that purpose. Any other use case outside of gym aggression, I would never use them. Now if you are a non-gym rat and want some great audio and comfortable headphones I reccommend the bose ultra quietcomforts. I have both, and those are purely for working at home or listening to music for enjoyment. I would never wear my bose to the gym. Both skullcandy and bose headphones have entirely different use cases for them.

I purchased these headphones as soon as i heard them while at Bestbuy. I knew i had to have them. The crisp sound, the Bass, the noise cancelation. I was so impressed. When my son and his hirlfriend tried them, well i landed up getting them each a pair. I definitely recommend these headphones if you like bass. The fit is nice and the battery life is amazing. I've been using my Skullcandy headphones for a while now, and they’ve quietly become a dependable part of my day. The sound quality is solid—clear enough to catch the details without being overwhelming. They’re also surprisingly comfortable for extended wear, which I didn’t expect at this price point. Design-wise, they strike a nice balance between casual and modern. Nothing too flashy, but they get the job done with style. Battery life and connectivity have both held up well, and I haven’t run into any major issues. Overall, they’re a good pick if you’re looking for headphones that deliver without making a big fuss about it.

So, I've recentmy purchased 3 different brands of headphones in the last 2 weeks, until i finally went to YT university and stumbled upon these gems!! They're everything i was lookikg for and more. I was very hesistant about purchasing headphones over $150, but these arr every bit of worth it. Bass heavy, comfortable, they fit my little ears perfectly and they look amd feel preminum as well. I wish i could customize the mids and lows but thats okay , they're still a 10/10 for me witbout a doubt.

The bass is incredibly strong. I hardly ever put the max setting because it’s so loud. Sound is clear on music and media. Battery life is great. Haven’t had to charge it very often. One star knocked off due to fit. It feels ok and fits fine l, but doesn’t feel snug and is a bit uncomfortable after wearing for a while.

I'll tell ya, I've heard of skull candy before. I thought it was a cute name probably for an over rated experience. HOWEVER!! These headphones are THE BOMB! I got them because the downstairs neighbor was complaining about the tv at night since I don't sleep. I wanted something comfortable to wear and I've tried earbuds before. I really needed something better I and more comfortable. I was really thinking I was going to get a Sony headphone set. I was at Best Buy. They have headsets on display. I tried the Sony ones. They were ok. I looked at Beats, but that display was not working well and what I did hear, I wasn't really excited about. Skull candy had 3 sets on display. This was the medium priced set. I am so loving these. I hear so much more in the background of the sound on the TV. It's a truly immersive experience! Even if I had my own house now, I would STILL use these. There is the vibration that happens while listening. It's not just the words you hear. If you get the chance CHECK IT OUT! So that was why I bought them. But I use them to talk on the phone rather than a speaker phone. I use them on virtual sessions on zoom, and for music. I understand that they were probably created for listening to music or gaming experience.. but these are so much more than that. Don't forget about the noise cancelling feature, which I am usually skeptical about but these really work. They are also cushioned really well. Ear buds get uncomfortable after a while, truly annoying plus they slip out if your ears get sweaty. I know, gross, but if u wear them, you know it's a fact and should not be neglected to bring up. There are over the ear holders but you can still hear outside things and something has always been lacking about them along with earbuds. I will also say this. I would not even mind walking around outside with these on. They are that great. I've thought that I would never wear headphones outside because I am in my late 50s and would look pretty foolish. LoL. I don't care. If u have to, save your money to buy these. Do not skimp or settle for something else. PS. Don't forget the slide bar on the side for an even greater base type experience. This is so much more than a simple listening device. : )

I am an music fanatic. I listen to just about every genre of music. Love my AirPod Pros, however over ear cannot be beat for best sound quality. Owning for three months I feel I can give a honest review. I wanted something with increased lower end response to feel as was listening to my home audio system. These are extremely comfortable feel so great on head and over the ears. Then when I connected to my devices via Bluetooth DANG! The quality I had been searching for was unbelievable finally found. The control over increase/decrease the lower end resopne for the style and genre of music I listen to amazing. Very clear high ends as well. I am able to control most devices from the headphones which I like. Battery life is really great. The connectivity to my iPhone for use with calls as good as my AirPods, yet still no replacement for their use I also need. The Skullcandy app must have and allows auditory setup like AirPods for hearing infraction, which I have. Tile is also available so you can locate if misplaced with in a location. Would I purchase again, most definitely and have recommended to both my adult children to include numerous friends. I did get these on a sale and had many points to use so I did not pay the full price, which has made them ever sweeter. I just did not wish to pay for the much higher end over ear headphones to be disappointed and these have not!

So, let’s get this out of the way first: This skullcandy wireless headphone sounds really good, very comparable with high end headphones of the same kind. I am a casual listener and use it for listening to my vinyl collections. Let’s talk now about pro and cons. Since I am recommending this headphone, I am going to talk about the cons first. Cons: - The Bluetooth connection range is supposed to be about 30 feet, but depending on where you are, that might not be the case at all. I would say, a good range would be about 20 feet, which is still pretty good - No EQ. However if you download the app, you can get a personalized sound set up, which is noticeable better than the regular setup. - When battery is low, a voice warning will come up. But depending on how loud your music is, you might not be able to hear what’s the message says. I also found that the app is not accurately displayed how much battery left. - No cancelling noise. Since I am only using it in the house, I can’t tell whether or not outside noise is a big interference. - I believe the headphone can only be connected to one device at a time. But once connected, it’s very easy to connect to the device. Pro: - A very good sound. - Bass booster which depending on how high, can literally makes your head vibrate. This feature is obviously designed for someone who likes huge bass. If you are not a fan, you still should give it a try and add a little bit bass to enhance the sound - 40 hours battery. Charging 10 minutes will give you about 4 hours listening time since it comes with a high charging cable - The ear cups is enveloped in this thick soft padding which makes it “more” comfortable to wear over a long period of time, compare to other over the ear headphone. A very important feature since I usually listen to my music while I am working for hours at time. - The whole headphone feels solidly build and yet can be easily folded to fit the carrying case that comes with it. It can also be extended and the ear cups can be turned 360 degree in one direction so it can be adjusted to fit any ears. - You can install the app on your phone to get the battery level and to set up the EQ preferences and connect the headphone to other player. In my case, I connect it to receiver for my record player and use the app on my phone. - The app has a set up for a personal sound, but it also comes preset for music, podcast mode and movie mode. In conclusion, I really like this headphone and has been using it constantly. I am not particularly concern about the noise canceling because the ear cup feels really snug on my ear. I am confident with the right volume, I can drawn out outside noise that I don’t want to hear. Highly recommended.

If you like base, this is the headset for you! I can’t tell you how many different pairs of headphones that I found from Sony to beats. I’ve used them all. I like heavy deep base and the motor inside the headphones along with the robust sound makes me feel right at home. You definitely won’t be disappointed one of the best headphones that you can buy at the price point is a little heavy on your head, but for the sound I would definitely recommend.

All about that bass in a fun unique way

As a general, all-purpose, for every situation headphone, these are not my go-to headphones, but for music that celebrates bass or action movies, they are a really fun and a unique experience. Because these aren’t my default go-to headphones, I initially had rated these at 4/5 stars. However, the sensory bass feature is really so unique and fun that it almost can’t be compared to other headphones. In my mind, it both creates a new category of headphones and rises to the top of it, so for that reason these headphones get 5 stars from me. THE GREAT The unique thing about these headphones is the Adjustable Sensory Bass technology. What that effectively means is that you can feel the music, just like the deep shaking you can feel with a sub-woofer, but not in a way that is just "louder". It genuinely adds a different experience that I haven't found anywhere else, and watching any movie with deep bass, particularly action movies, really take on a new and more enjoyable experience. — The slider on the headphones to adjust the sensory bass is such a clever implementation, and I find myself changing it between songs to really bring out the beauty the artist intended for a much larger subwoofer enhanced system. So many headphones allow EQ settings to be adjusted within an app, but for such a crucial feature, the implementation of a slider on the headphones was pure perfection. I would definitely take off a star or two had this not been physically adjustable because it feels necessary and really completes the product. To recap — Adjustable Sensory Bass is freaking awesome and really THE reason to pick these headphones over others. THE GOOD Sound quality —Over all good to great, and I don’t really have complaints here. It’s really the sensory bass that makes these worth getting over other headphones, and other brands in this quality range definitely match the sound quality apart from that. Design — The headphones themselves are comfortable. They fold to become more compact, but since I haven’t really traveled with them, they generally just stay opened sitting on my desk or hanging from a headphone stand. THE DISAPPOINTING Noise Cancellation — These headphones don’t have noise cancellation so while they’re great for louder music and really add a new dimension to the bass aspect of music and movies, they fail a bit in a loud environment when playing quieter music due to lack of noise cancellation which can be found on similar headphones. Microphone / Phone Calls — I’m not sure why, but I found that while using these headphones and received an incoming call, the audio did not switch to my headset as it normally does with my wireless headphones. I haven’t spent too much time troubleshooting this feature as it wasn’t a deal breaker, but it didn’t “just work” easily for me. OVERALL If you can live without noise cancellation, and are interested in the adjustable sensory bass feature that really brings music to life, I would definitely recommend these headphones. I still find myself reaching for in-ear buds most of the time for the sake of convenience and use of microphone while on a call or in a meeting, but the Crusher Evo still get picked up a few times a week. If you’re looking for a generic pair of headphones to use in a noisy environment, I’d go with a pair that supports noise cancellation over these. However, as mentioned several times, the sensory bass is truly a game changing experience and for that reason I would happily recommend giving these a try. These are the first headphones I’ve tried that have really been an experience. If you want to experience music in a new way, pick these up and see for yourself.
