    Best Mother’s Day gift ever!

So, I have been looking to replace my Beats Solo3 headphones. Within 1 year of having my Beats they broke at the adjustment part. I didn’t realize they were still under warranty, so I ducktaped them and kept using until they deteriorated. As I read different views on over the ear headphones on my price range, I was indecisive about which ones to choose. I came across the reviews for these headphones and decided to give them a try. I told my family that I wanted these for Mother’s Day and they got them for me. I took them out the box, paired them , and I put on Kendricks Euphoria. When that beat dropped it was exhilarating!! My family heard me cackle and thought I had gone crazy. I didnt tell them why, I just told them to try them. You could tell when that smile spread across their face, exactly when the beat dropped! That BASE is amazing. I have only used them for 1 day, so I cant speak to longevity. I can tell you the sound is nice, it fits nice. I dont have a headache as I did with the Beats after wearing for an extended time. Thank you so much for everyone who reviewed them.i thought Skullcandy brand would be a subpar brand. I am glad I gave them a try!

best headphones for music and gaming

One of the best headphones out there i've used so far. Bought and tested the sony xm5, momentum 4s, senheisser 560s. Evos are just as good in sound, maybe even better. For sure, the bass and being able to control how much bass just blows all the other headphones out of the water. If you're looking for gaming headphones that give you that "bang" or "pop" in gun sounds, punches, blood splatter, bomb explosions.. this is the headphones for you. Using these wired and wireless will give you same the experience and sound.. its amazing. highly recommended especially at $100 (when it was on sale). Some may argue about the sound being better or more clear on the xm5 or momentum 4.. but after listening to evo, it doesnt matter, i want the bass and the sound is already good enough to not even care about the other headphones. The only reason you should get xm5 or momentum 4 is if you really need noise cancelling which the evos do not have. Some cons would be i had a little trouble connecting to tile, but was solved by restarting my phone. Sometimes connecting bluetooth to the pc or phone may require u to clear paired devices sometimes and reconnect with your devices. The fit may be a little tight for some but everyone's different and you should try it out yourself. Again, one of the best headphones i've used for music and gaming. i am looking forward to buying the Skullcandy ANC 2's.

Okay, look. I'm just a grumpy Gen-Xer who isn't too good with technology. I needed a new pair of headphones, and I wanted them to be wireless. So I bought these Skullcandy Evo headphones at my local Best Buy. These things charged really fast. I charged them for just 10 minutes and they've already been playing for several hours now. And then all I had to do was turn them on and they automatically communicated somehow to my computer, and then I just clicked one button on my computer and they were all connected and ready to go. It was that easy. They're really comfortable, the sound is great, and this rumble bass feature they have is amazing! You don't just hear the music - you feel it! Every time I listen to music on these I feel like I'm in the front row of a live concert. Seriously, they're that good. I was a bit worried about spending $200 on a pair of headphones, but these are definitely worth it.

Skullcandy has done something amazing and designed the best headphones I have ever owned or listened to. With the bass enthusiest in mind, these headphones deliver the most powerful bass and hands down the easiest way to control it. Even if you don't like a lot of bass, I would not pass these headphones up. Their wireless technology is top notch and battery life is over 10 hours with the bass all the way up. I listen to music with these headphones a couple hours a day and only need to charge it once a week. They fold up easy and are able to store in the included carry bag. These headphones are rigid and comfortable, and adjust to fit larger heads. The key feature to these headphones is the bass slider on the back of the left ear cup. It's bass level on the fly so you dont have to fiddle with EQ setting on your device in order to adjust bass. The volume controls are on the right ear cup and also a function button for play/pause or even answering calls. Yes that's right, these headphones also have a mic built into the ear cup so you are able to make or receive calls while wearing them. Those on the other end of the call describe the mic very clear and good sounding with no issues. There is also an app you are able to download from skullcandy and it lets you adjust a few different features of the headset, including a personal hearing test that adjusts the audio according to what tones you can hear. I did not personally notice really any change with that mode turned on, but it's a cool concept. Back to the key feature of these headphones.. BASS.. and lots of it. You can turn it to a minimum so it is hardly noticable, all the way to earth shattering, blow the windows out in your car powerful bass that is beyond amazing technology that bass that powerful could possibly come from a wireless headset. The bass is no joke, and is able to hit extremely low sub frequencies. Its not to say heavy use of such low frequencies may eventually damage the driver, but these headphones put in some major work. They are also sound canceling to an extent, and while wearing them at full volume and bass, you can hardly hear noise emitting from them if you were standing close by to someone wearing them. Overall it is very hard to not be impressed by these headphones and are truly a must buy!

The Skullcandy Crusher Evo represents their mid-high end over the ear headphones. Besides excellent audio quality, Skullycandy has what they call “sensory bass”. This feature is no new idea, but it’s pretty unique in today’s offerings. Beyond that does the Crusher Evo have something to offer at this price point? Yes, definitely. First of all, for a $200 set of cans, Skullcandy nails the presentation. The box is sturdy, the material choices and even storage bag make the product feel premium. The bag even has a fun clip that keeps things secure instead of just the old pull strings. Soft touch plastics line the cans themselves, with soft leather-like memory foam pads. The headphones sport plenty of buttons. You get a power button and sensory bass slider of the left cup. This is also the cup with the USB-C power and 3.5mm headphone jack. The right cup has volume up/next track, down/previous track, and play/pause. Sound wise, minus the sensor bass, the headphones are pretty pure sounding. The treble is crisp without being overly harsh. Mids are strong, and I’d say the tuning stock is pretty flat with a bit of rise in the highs. Soundstage is pretty good for cans and gets better with the sensory bass. Bass is good, but not overly strong - however the sensory bass changes that. As far as the sensory bass, feedback headphones aren’t a new thing. In fact companies were doing feedback headsets at least 15 years ago, but the sophistication associated with this as well as audio fidelity is really pretty great. In fact, I’m surprised this isn’t more of a feature in other manufacturers, which basically amounts to active haptic feedback. Haptic feedback helps simulate the actual vibrations associated with a larger sound source. So where the Crusher Evo stands out is life music. Want to feel like you’re there? The Evo does a very good job at letting you tweak the feel - letting you get the punch of the drums or smoothness of the bass guitars. With studio recordings this feedback can quickly get overwhelming on anything but the lowest setting, so you’ll need to adjust. Of course if you like hip hop and want to feel music, shove that slider all the way up, it’s amazing - like your being hugged by a subwoofer. Luckily adjustments are pretty easy to do with a large generous slider that offers enough resistance for fine adjustments. This is a huge differentiator for these headphones. They sound excellent without this feature on, and turning it on, subtly adds dimension and depth you won’t find at this price range. Again, the feature is easy to overdo, but as they say, bass is in the eye of the beholder and the slider makes things so easy to adjust. The battery feels like it’s infinite. Seriously, I can’t tell you when I charged these, and after hours they still are kicking at nearly 100%. The battery life seems amazing, and Skullcandy rates these basically at a work week, and I believe them. The tile locator is a great idea. It paired easily and while you can play a tone on them, the locator feature is really nice with tile. Overall these are an excellent set of cans for a wide array of music. Being able to adjust the bass power so easily and quickly is a huge differentiator. These are comfortable, sound good, have great battery life. Even better, they are themselves an experience, and enhance almost any music experience. I highly recommend them!

If you are a bass lover, if you love having your back teeth rattle when listening to your favorite song, if you want a whole new experience with headphones then stop right here and buy these. Don’t procrastinate, don’t compare with 10 other models and brands, don’t worry about explaining to your wife why you just bought another set of headphones. These require no explanation, instead hand them to your better half or gently place them on her ears. Que up her favorite song and let’er rip! Assuming she gives them back to you, you’ll be in the clear. You don’t have to be an audiophile to understand these headphones. Actually audiophiles probably won’t like these, because they aren’t meant to be precisely accurate in an audiophile way. These headphones are in an interesting way a musical instrument. I say that because they produce an aural experience that you won’t get with a normal set of cans. I usually dive into the technical details in my reviews. As an engineer it’s what I do, I would break down the components and discuss how they contribute to the whole. I’d speak to frequency performance, accuracy in sound reproduction, soundstage, etc. But this review is different for me, this one is about passion, and fun, and putting a smile on your face. This is about treating yourself to an innovative product that isn’t necessary, it doesn’t really make sense - and yet they are freaking awesome! All of the technical details are on the Internet, if that’s what you need to make a decision I understand and suggest you go to Skullcandy’s website. I’m keeping this review about emotion and the joy of enjoying a whole new dimension to your music. I look forward to putting these on after a long day, they are like an instant vacation for your brain. They help disconnect you from reality, and it’s been a tough reality these past 11 months. The country would be a happier place if the government sent everyone a set of these instead of a stimulus check. Maybe we’d all live in harmony then (pun intended). Whatever you use these for, be it music, video games or a movie - they will not disappoint. The only thing I didn’t like about the Evo’s is having to take them off and return to reality. This product is a grand slam for Skullcandy, and for us their customers. I want to say ‘thank-you’ to the engineers and business people that decided to build these and bring them to us at a reasonable price. Crazy good product, there are so many good things to talk about. If they aren’t sold out and out of stock - buy them! Buy one for yourself, one for your spouse, and anyone else that seems to be in doldrums. They will set you on a happy course for a great recovery from a rotten previous year (2020). They make you smile and I bet make 2021 a great year. Bass never sounded nor felt SO GOOD! Ridiculously good headphones listening to them is a type of meditation. Escape a gray day, escape from your boss who was being a jerk, throw these on and all that was bad melts away leaving your face and soul smiling. These should be covered by health insurance. :-) Crusher® Evo Sensory Bass Headphones with Personal Sound are a whole new category.

I love listening to music with heavy bass and have several pairs of headphones that fill this requirement, including last year’s Crusher 360 Limited Edition which were one of my all time favorites. Until now! Packaging When you open the package you are greeted with a fur-lined canvas-like bag that contains the Evo’s. Unlike drawstring pouches, this has a hard plastic clip which rolls down like a coffee bean bag. Roll it twice then clasp the clip. When you open the inner flap you are presented with instructions on how to pair the headphones to your device and instructions on how to download the Skullcandy app. Both were trouble free. Also in the box is a USB C charging cable and an aux cable to use if your device doesn't have bluetooth. Build Unlike the LE’s, the EVO’s are mostly plastic but maintain a solid feel. Also unlike the LE’s, the EVO’s ear cups swivel 90 degrees in each direction, making the fit a bit more comfortable from the LE’s limited movement. Battery life Crusher 360 EVO’s are rated for 40 hours of battery life and live true to this. I only have to charge them once a week or so with moderate usage. There is a 10 minute rapid charge that will give four hours of use and a full charge only takes an hour. Charging is via the included USB C cord. Sound But how does it sound? OMG, this is the reason you buy headphones! Let me start with you HAVE to get the app! These headphones sound great with no sensory bass but when you move the slider up, WOW! Not only do you get brain shaking bass, you don't lose any warmth of the mids and highs. Unlike last year's Crusher LE’s, you actually hear the bass through the entire range rather than just being shaken by the vibrations, what I referred to as simulated or manufactured bass. Once you adjust for your personal hearing on the app, it sounds even better. The EVO’s come with an aux cable so you can use them with older devices that might not have bluetooth, like my iPod classic, or when the battery is dead. You need to have the power on for the sensory bass but they sound excellent even without it. I read a few reviews that mentioned a slight hiss while using the aux cord but I didn’t experience it. Phone calls sound crisp and clear. The called party was unable to tell I was using headphones. Tile location finder The Crusher EVO’s include Tile finding technology which worked as expected. You have to install the Tile app if you don't already have it, then activate the headphones. Once set up, click find in the app and the EVO’s chirp so you can find them. It works even when the headphones are powered off. I hope I never have to use it but it's nice to know it's there if I need it. Conclusion I thought last year’s crushers were great but the EVO’s blow them away. They are more comfortable to wear and sound better than I expected. If you love head banging bass you need to get these headphones.

I decided on these because I didn’t want to spend 3/4 hundred on the other ones that everyone raves about. I like the base slider (it packs a punch) and the east connectability of the Bluetooth to all my tech (pc, tv, laptop, projector) It feels good in my hands and has enough weight to stay put during activities. If you can swing paying $200 for these guys then you won’t be disappointed.

I personally never had or wanted headphone(not counting the earbud that comes package in my smartphone) since they can't produce the bass like my dual 15" sub. So I finally decide to get skullcandy since I heard they can produce subwoofer like bass. How I did not know about this til 2020. Who knows. But good thing I waited this long too since the Crusher EVO just came out. Because after getting the EVO and loving it so much I decided to get the older Crusher Wireless 2016 as a secondary set since they were on sale for half of my EVO price. Only to find out the older one suck. It's like night and day different. The EVO can play all the bass note and hits clean and hard. Mid and highs are way better too. 2016 Crusher seem to only sound good on certain bass note, but still not as good as EVO and is completely missing alot of low bass note. For example on a song, the EVO won't have any gap without bass while the 2016 Crusher bass will get quite for 5-6 second when the low note hits. I also only have my slider around 1/4 on EVO while I had to max out the 2016 crusher and wish it can go higher. Also the clamping of the old one is tight. EVO feels and look way better. If I have to compare, the EVO bass sound like my 15" subwoofer while the 2016 Crusher sound like just my two dual 8" floor speaker. 2016 Crusher also have this echo vibrate from the motor when ever you pause the music or if there is no music and the headphone move. The EVO have none of these and sound clear and can get way louder especially when hook up to my computer soundcard headphone. I had to back down the volume from max on EVO, but I wish I can push 2016 crusher past 100% volume. So I suggest anyone who dislike the 2016 Crusher wireless get the EVO. When it comes to bass I put the EVO at 100% While 2016 Crusher is at 40%. And every other headphone I heard before is 0% that include headphone in the $500 range. The EVO is worth double the price of the regular 2016 Crusher wireless. I promptly return the 2016 version in 1 day. I will get another EVO for my second set instead.
