I have had several pairs of headphones and earbuds in the past. And this is the most I have spent on any pair of headphones, so I was sceptical at first to say the least. My last pair of headphones I had to purchas an equalizer app to get enough bass so I dont have to listen to only the peircing highs. *keep note I am an audiophile and am very picky with the quality of any speaker or pair of headphones I get. And unlike most people, who just want to listen to music not caring what it really sounds like, I am focused as much on the thing thats making the music almost as much as the music its self. Unboxing: Unboxing these was very easy and exiting, as yo have a slick, almost powdery(if this makes sense) matte finish with a reflective material consisting of the words and image of the headphones on the front. From the get-go you can tell they are high quality and well thought out. The box has a door, so to say, that has a magnet to open it and close it. As soon as you open it up, there will be the skull candy carrying bag. Yhere will also be some cardboard supports to keep the headphones supported and safe. You will get the whole usere's manual and all that stuff which you wont need because these have some of the simplest controls of any headphone I have seen. And under everything, there will be the colormatched aux chord and usb-c charging chord. Unboxing: 8.8/10 Carrying bag: This bag is very high quality and durable and will well protect your headpones from scuffing and being twisted up in luggage or office supplies. The bag has the Skullcandy logo that is color matched to the headphones just like the aux chord. The bag has the Skullcandy headquarters coordinates written on it which I thought was one of the coolest things ever. The doble roll and clip is very simple and easy to do to close the bag. The inside of the case is very soft and is also colormatched to the headphones aswell as the aux chord and skull candy logo on the carrying bag. *do keep in mind that this will not protect your headphones if sat on or accidentally dropped or thrown because it is a soft case, so if you do travle a lot or use them or move them often, then purchasing a hard case will be optimal for you. Carrying bag/case: 9/10 Headphone build quality: The matte finish is very modern and finger-print proof. The adjustable things (what ever they are called to adjust the length of the headphones) are very smooth and easy to adjust. The swivel of the actual headphones is smooth and also "locks" where you set it. The foam pads that fit arround your ear are very comfertabole and do a good job of dampening outside sounds and keeping inside sounds in so people can't hear you music at low levles.(half volume and below) the foam pad at the to of the headphones is very squishy so-to-say. It's a very un-describable part and once you feel it you can say the same. As well at the soft carry case, the top of the headphones has the Skullcandy headquarters coordinates. Also the very top, I am assuming is Alcantara, is also colormatched to the headphones. 9/10 Headphoe usability and controls: These are some of the simplest controls in any pair of headphones. On the left, you have the power and bass slider. This is my favorite side because of the bass slider. The bass slider allows you to completely coustomize you sound to what you are watching or listening to. For me this is very helpful because i switch between genres of music, movies, and social media. The right side has the simple indented pause/play button and the volume up and down buttons on the top and bottom of thie pause and play button. Other than that, thats all the controls. Controls: 9.5/10 Sound quality and crushing bass: These are the best sounding headphones on the market under $1k. The highs are crisp and not piercing, and the mids are rich and clear. You don't have to worry about losing sound quality as you turn up the bass. The one feature on these that are on absolutley nothingelse is a dedocated subwoofer. These headphones WILL rattle your teeth and make your brains numb. They absolutely crush the lows and have the cleanest bass. The bass isn't muddy and is clear, accurate and tight. These have a feature where, since the bass is so loud, will turn up the mids and highs but not to where it's too loud. The bass slider all the way down in no bass at all and turns the subwoofer off completely. As soon as you turn the slider up just a little it will turn it on. At full volume, they will drown out everything. On full volume with these things off, you can hear them like its your phone's speaker on about 3/4 volume. Funny story; so one day I was "vacuuming" my house with these on full volume just jamming. I suddenly have to go to the bathroom and pause the music and notice the vacuum wasn't even on. So I have to go back after I finished releaving myself, I re-vacuumed the room and a half i have missed. Sound quality 10/10 Improvements for Skullcandy's next Crusher Evo model: make the max volume a tad bit louder. Also design the headband a little tighter to be able to headbang a little harder. Overall rating after using these for 2 months: 9.8/10 TLDR; Get these right now, don't get sony or bose unless you want to fit in with the crowd or just want to miss out on the craziest listning experience ever.

They were ok. I had them for a week but they kept falling off my head when I was working out. If I turned the bass up to high it made my ears hurt.. they just weren’t worth the price for me.

    Do You Like Bass?

This is going to be short and sweet. Do you like headphones with bass? Would you consider yourself a bass-head? If you answered yes to either of those questions then I have the headphones for you. I had the previous Crusher and the Crusher Evo is a further iteration on that design. They are lightweight, very comfortable, well built, and offer prodigious bass. The amount of bass is controllable and can be dialed in if you don't want to feel like you have a subwoofer strapped to your head. When I say a subwoofer strapped to your head I mean exactly that, the headphones actually vibrate on your head from the driver excursion. It is an intense feeling for sure, but can be dialed way back if you aren't in the mood. They can produce a nice balanced sound if you desire and offer great controls on the headphones themselves. The app will let you dial them in further too. Overall, they really are a great wireless headphones with outstanding 30+ hour battery life. Put them on your short list if you are a bassaholic as I have never experienced another set of headphones that come close.

These were a gift so I didn’t try them on before they were purchased. They don’t fit very well on my head. When I adjust the ears to fit the top feels like it’s pushing down hard on the top of my head. So make sure you try them on your head before you purchase. When you turn them on and turn them off the voice saying on or off has a strong accent and sometimes I can’t tell if it’s saying on or off.

The clarity of this headphone is possitively surprising. Having the slider for the sensory bass is quite thoughful. I am a bit sensitive to the vibrations. I am thus happy to have the opportunity to adjust that setting. This is a different listening experience. A very good one. This model does not have noise cancellation so if that is very important to you, you should buy the other model that has ANC. I like being aware of my surrounding when I am out so this is perfect for me. Battery life is good. It is a bit heavier than my other headphone but I still find it comfortable. I think this headset is exactly as advertised. Definitely worth the purchase.

The previous versions were way better. This one does not even compare. I continue to superglue the arms that hold the speakers so I can keep using the one I have. Signal was terrible when the connectivity even worked. Didn't last long at all. The seal over the ear was less than mediocre.

Very heavy. Top presses on your head weirdly. No amount of positioning makes them comfortable after a 2hr movie. Bass haptic is just odd. Any bit of ambient sound is amplified. These are total opposite of noise cancelling.

I thought I was done with wanting to use headphones after spending a year with just earbuds, especially a particular brand that is all the rage with sponsorships on YouTube right now, but I began to miss having some kick with my music. I had put Skullcandy on the backburner of my choice of audio equipment after a purchase I wasn't in love with from them, but decided to return back to my old flame to see if they could aid in my new search. And boy, did they! A friend of mine had the original Crusher headphones and praised them, so when I saw they had a new version, I decided to give them a shot as well. These already sound great out of the box, but I went ahead and set up the sound profile with the app (which is really great as I hear just slightly better in one ear than the other). If you turn the app off, you definitely hear a dip in quality so I really recommend taking just two minutes to set it up. Once set, you don't need to connect them to the app again. I would press the "connect" button on the app when using them, but it doesn't change the audio and that's because it was still automatically set, even if the app looks like it's turned off. By pressing the "connect" button again, it allows you to make any adjustments you want, such as turning off or redoing your sound profile, or getting help specific to your headset. Despite my slight hearing issues (or maybe because of it), I prefer to max out the bass, lol. I love the head-rattling shake when the music hits that sweet spot. So many times for the first few days as I tried these with different songs (ranging from piano instrumentals to JRock, to pop, to alt rock), I'd just melt in my chair and smile at how great these sounded. Also really good at noise cancellation so if you need to tune out from the world, these will help you do it (if you don't mind everyone else around you semi-hearing your music). I caught these on sale with one-fourth of the price knocked off and loved them so much, I decided my sibling deserved to be a part of the experience so I got him some as well! Figured as he likes rap, he'd find the bass even more important than me and I saw him also give the satisfied smile when his songs really kicked in, lol. By the way, absolute KUDOS to the customer service of Best Buy! For my pair, I got them with free overnight shipping. For my brother's, I went down to my local store to pick them up same day. The instant I walked in, someone greeted me and offered to assist. They then had someone else help grab my order for me. The entire exchange took no more than three minutes and I didn't even need to go beyond the front doors. Very professional and courteous. So, I recommend these directly from Best Buy for those reasons, an amazing product and because of the amazing experience I had with my purchases. One tiny con on a personal note, though. I have ears that are not even and my head is a bit flat in the back (as my sibling so eloquently put it, my head is shaped like a grape, lol). The over-the-ear fit causes pain to my left ear and the headphones slide down a lot (they're also rather heavy). The most I have been able to figure out to mitigate this is to wear the headphones closer to the front of my head with the headband adjusted out for the different ear levels. Again, these are personal issues but figured I'd mention them in case anyone else has a similar head-shape issue, lol.

I really love these headphones. When I first opened them I was impressed I read the directions, the setting it up was easy I use them for my Ipod and for my phone too. I tried the bass and I felt them vibrating on my ears and the sound quality was amazing. I used the lowest setting and they still vibrated. The battery lasts me for days I use them everyday while cleaning. I have been using them wireless and sometimes I use the wire and they work amazingly. I highly recommend these great headphones. I Love the quality, the sound and the structure. They fold easily and I carry them in their pouch. I am very pleased with them and happy to own a pair.
