Comfy with great sound

I have been enjoying these wireless headphones for some time now. I would highly recommend them too as they are performing very well for a number of reasons. The 2 primary reasons in which I'd recommend these are because of their fit and their sound.
Firstly, they fit very well. They are comfortable to the touch and do not rub my head or ears in any odd ways which would be annoying. I have a large head too and there is plenty of wiggle room for those who need it too. The ear coverings are soft and cover your ear well enough to keep in the sound and reduce any from escaping from a bad seal to the ear. They even conveniently collapse and store in the provided canvas storage bag.
Secondly, the sound is better than i had expected. I have owned other headphones from this manufacturer before and the sound was good, but nothing overly impressive. These headphones act and deliver a top notch sound which quite frankly blew me away. Assuming you have a nice fit on your head these headphones are a for sure way to experience music in its expected way.
All in all due to the comfort level and sound profile that is delivered from these headphones, I would highly recommend these to anyone in need of a quality set of wireless headphones.

These are without a doubt the best headphones I've ever purchased. I've bought beats pro and Sony xm4s I think they're called? None of those compares to the crusher evo. These things are a portable movie theater speaker system on your head. It has a slider on the side to adjust how much bass you want and trust me... I'd say like 10 percent is enough to leave you in awe. Anything above that and well you get the picture. It's like being at your favorite theater listening to everything boom boom and boom. One of the best things about it for me personally is it is able to plug into your controllers for whatever console you play. I'm on Xbox and when I'm playing single player games or watching movies or shows on my console this bad boy here is my go to.

I love this headset for its seamless Bluetooth connectivity, which ensures a stable and fast connection whether I'm using it for calls or listening to music. The adjustable headband and cushioned ear cups offer a comfortable fit over the ears, making it suitable for extended use during work or leisure. The sound quality is clear with rich bass, and the built-in microphone delivers crisp audio for conversations.

I’ve been using the Skullcandy Crusher Evo headphones for a few weeks now, and I’m seriously impressed. The standout feature? That adjustable sensory bass. It’s not just sound – you feel it. Whether I’m listening to hip-hop, EDM, or even action-packed movie scenes, the bass slider lets me customize exactly how much punch I want. It’s like having a subwoofer on your head (in the best way possible).
Sound quality overall is rich and clear, with surprisingly good separation between highs, mids, and lows. The personal sound profile feature (via the Skullcandy app) actually made a noticeable difference – it custom-tunes the audio to your hearing.
Battery life is insane. I get up to 40 hours on a full charge, and the rapid charge feature gives me 4 hours of playtime in just 10 minutes. Super clutch for when I’m on the go.
They're also extremely comfortable – the memory foam ear cushions and lightweight design make them great for long listening sessions. Plus, the foldable design makes it easy to toss them in a bag when I’m traveling.
If you're looking for wireless headphones that deliver serious bass, long battery life, and great comfort, Crusher Evo is totally worth it. Skullcandy really nailed it with these.

Excellent Headphones

I would love to give these 5 stars since I absolutely love these headphones. My one issue is they feel a little loose for working out and using them when more active. Otherwise, the sound is excellent. The app allows you to customize sound based on your hearing. Also, you can download Tile and link your headphones to the app so you always know where they are. I used the headphones over a week after purchasing and they still had over 50% charge left in them, and when charging the battery charges full extremely quick. My favorite feature is the base booster which you can turn up and down with a sliding button in the left speaker. They are a bit bulky but all in all, an excellent buy. No regrets.

I have those crusher EVO headphones now for some days, and I simple love them. They came on a very practical bag, fits perfect on my head and the sound is just amazing. The are very easy to use, I basically paired them within the 2min to my phone, and I am positively surprised on how long the battery is lasting. The range is perfect: i am currently working from home and good travel through my rooms without loosing the connection. Perfect if you have some kids running around. They also have great noise cancellation. The buttons are a fingertip away and easy to manage your bass sound and noise. In short, this is a more than solid headphone, and is in my top list of headphones as I am also using others. The sound was clear and precise.

The Skullcandy Crusher Evo wireless will not be the only pair I ever purchase but, they are one of the best bang for sound and price I have used. They are a superior buy for the $150-$200 price range. They offer you a solid build quality and ridiculous long battery life. For those sound enthusiast craving the very best sound for wireless headphones the Crushers may fall just a few bars short but, not enough to say they are out of the top 5 in my opinion . The Crusher Wireless headphones are comfortable, have good sound and offer you an exceptional battery life of over 30 hrs. Add the haptic bass feedback and now you have an enjoyable punch to low frequency sound.

WOW! Just wow! They are not kidding. These have BASS!
At first I thought it was going to be kinda wrong, as "haptic bass" seems to indicate its a spinning vibrator motor like what is in controllers, that thus would make a buzz sound and vibrate to simulate bass, and that I would hear that and call it fake bass and a gimmick. Well, maybe they do use some sort of vibrating motors, or infact a real secondary sub bass driver in these things...but the sound of the bass to me, is real powered sub bass.
It is a tad on the punchy side, like a decent 8in sub, but not quite the very low deep bass of a 10in or the ultra low earthquake powerful 12in or larger sub, but a good EQ at the source could compensate for that.
I have been using, and swear by, my V-Moda Crossfade wireless (Gen 1) (pretty much a M100 v2) headphones for years. I use a Fiio E17K USB DAC, also a Fiio BTR3 at times. On Android using PowerAmp music player, the best there is for EQ and audio processing. So much time spent tweaking EQ etc. I have to crank up the low bass alot, both via EQ in PowerAmp and the Bass/Treble adjustment on the DAC. This for years now, has given me the deep clean bass i like and my Vmoda's can handle it very well with no distortion even at extreme volumes.
I read about while back SkullCandy headphones, but never considered them to be on par with more well known brands that are known for sound quality and fidelity.
Saw the SkullCandy Crushers were on a good sale at local store, (always thought the ANC model was way overpriced), but at the much lower price point, i thought i would give them a try.
Based on several review videos i watched, I settled on the newer Evo model, over the ANC model, as i do not really need ANC, and the Evo model is said to have a bit better build quality and also, in the app, has 2 more sound modes, Movie, and Podcast. The Evo was also cheaper and has the same exact sound/specs other wise so said the reviews.
Very impressed with the Crusher Evo. I thought I had the deep bass I wanted with the V-Moda's, but THIS is a whole new level. It is like I am using my 2.1 speakers on my desk, with the sub on high...something I can not do as it would shake the walls of my downstairs neighbors. It is like having a small sub-woofer clamped to your ears. This can be an awesome thing for you, or, be very off-putting, all depends on your personal preference for sound profile.
The Haptic Bass adjustment, I have to say, needs to be more balanced and focused range of adjustment. Most of the time, even with no EQs or sound adjustments on the source side, i barely have the slider engaged at all and it already is strong thumbing. I really wish it was more precise a slider adjustment. Like using a click wheel or something with more precise adjustment style. There is a decent amount of looseness or dead zone like feeling to the slider.
One video reviewer i watched stated that the "Movie" sound mode in the SkullCandy app, he prefers to use by default, even for music.
I have to agree. Very much so.
Movie mode profile widens the sound stage a small amount, levels out the bass to a more tame lower end tune, and brings out the mids and vocals a good amount.
Overall, more clarity and separation to music.
Music mode, is more focused and more tuned for punchy mid bass, and i find it muffles the mids and highs and over all, sounds flat and muffled.
I wish there was a way to toggle the sound profile modes on the headphones directly, and not via the app. But, i have found that the headphones app adjusts the settings live, even when i have them paired to another device as well.
Personal Sound:
I have tried out several brands so called Custom sound gimicks that play tones to tweak the on-board headphones EQ processing to enhance the audio for your hearing....none of them have worked well for me and sounded terrible. (for in the ear headphones, mainly true wireless models)
But....surprise! SkullCandys one on this model actually did improve the audio tune for me and I always have it enabled.
It raised the mids and highs just a bit, and does brighten up the sound for more clarity, which i like.
But, I find it annoying that u can not force it to use the same profile tune for both ears.
Also, just please give me a proper and real EQ to manually tweak to my liking.
Surely that can be added via software update.
This Personal Sound can be enabled in the app and you can test your ears multiple times and save multiple profiles.
Be sure to try it a few different times, in a very quite room.
It took me 3 tests to get the right results. You can save multiple test profiles and switch among them.
It does stay active when you are using wired mode, but if you want to disable it, you have remove cable, and pair via BT for the app to see the headphones.
Bluetooth mode:
I mainly use full sized headphones only in wired mode, but these changed that.
These EVO model only support AAC or SBC.
(the ANC apparently supports APX (non HD) )
I will say, via Bluetooth, connected to a iPhone and a Apple TV 4K using AAC and using Apple music, they do sound amazingly good. The bass is still there and rocks your head off, far more than any other Bluetooth headphones for sure. I can't even tell it compressed Bluetooth sound honestly, it sounds so good, though, drowning in the bass may be covering up those defects.
These would really shine if they had implemented high res BT codecs, but sadly, they did not. Though, Apple does not support those other codecs anyway, so, only Android users would benfit from that.
Paired to a 2019 Nvidia Shield Pro, they work just as well, but the SkullCandy app will not install on Android TV, even fails to via sideload. So, one has to pair and use a phone to change any of the headphones settings, then pair back to the Android TV.
Volume:
It may just be my setup or how down-mixing works, but they do not get loud enough for my movie playback that has 5.1 or higher audio tracks. 2.0 track play loud and fine, but I have to use a DAC and wired mode to get the amplification needed to watch movies at proper volume. Or use a volume boost feature of say the Infuse media player app i use on my Apple Tv to stream my Emby media library.
Does NOT support multi-device active pairing. Meaning, i can't live switch between 2 paired devices like i can with other headphones. They will connect to previous paired devices if you disconnect it from the current device first.
After a few months now of use, I actually use the via Bluetooth exclusively now. Having the Personal sound enabled, and sound mode set to Movie, these things are amazing and I actually like the sound better than when i use them with my multiple DAC setup.
Physical:
These are heavy headphones. Much heavier than my V-Moda's.
So they are even less suited for long listening sessions.
They also cause my ears to heat up and get sweaty uncomfortable after 10min or so, same issue I have with any full sized over the ear headphones though.
They ear pads are soft but the ear cup interior it slef, is a bit smaller than my V-Moda's, I have kinda large ears and they barely fit in these.
The head padding, is kinda stiff and causes a bit of irritation on my head, but if you have thick hair, may not be an issue.
The voice prompts seem to be on the British accent side of things, with some sort of non-chalant attitude.
The carry baggy, is good feel and quality...but I would rather have had a hard case.
Battery Life:
INCREDABLE!
I have only charged them once when i bought them.
I have listened to music for many hours, watched a few movies...
Its been 3 months of on and off use, and they are at 74% still.
They advertise 24hrs battery life. I would say that is underrated.
Overall, they may sacrifice some audio clarity, accuracy, fidelity when compared to more well established high end headphone brands and of course, audiophile equipment.
I do consider myself a casual audiophile, but am picky and unique in my audio tastes that most proclaimed audiophiles or purists do not like.
These SkullCandys for sure are for casual listening or for those who want fun and punch over audio purity or balance. Or for movie watching that will rattel your brain.
Honestly though, unless i do a side by side compare with the same audio tracks, the lower audio "quality", is very minor and not really noticeable.
Having subs stuck to my head more than makes up for any minor drop in fine picky audio fidelity.
Bottom line....the head rattling bass is REAL!
If you are like me, desire speaker set like sub-woofer bass experience in headphones, even one that is picky about audio, give these a try, you will probably really enjoy them.
Use MOVIE mode for everything!

Probably the best and only headphones I’ll use. I use them for work and the gym, and the sound quality with adjustable bass is amazing! I had a pair before this but a piece of asphalt fell on them and smashed them… and guess what, they still worked, just an insane amount of duct tape on them lol

I've owned Skullcandy headphones in the past and I have always been impressed with them but the Crusher EVO takes things to a different level. When I read about the Sensory Bass it sounded like a gimmick to me, turns out it's not. I never realized how little bass comes through in headphones without having distortion or muffling the music, but with Sensory Bass you can feel the bass and still hear the music nice and clear.

If you Love Bass and Clarity!

If you love bass and also love to hear the clarity of the music, then these headphones are for you.
I have tried many headphones looking for the right sound. (bass and clarity)
(ANC 2, Beats, Sony, `v-moda, and Edifier STAX Spirit S3). These are all good headphones, but if you want bass you can feel, these are it.
Compared to ANC 2's are also bass heavy, but in my opinion, the ANC hurts the "clarity" of the music". I returned my ANC 2's for these, (even though they are older)
I use these in the gym and I used to have buds, but I needed to have sound I can feel in the gym.
PROS
The comfort is good, the bass control is really good. I barely have the level past mid range. Battery life is good, charging is great. Ear cushions are good, they are removable if you want to replace them with 3rd party cushions. Bluetooth connectivity is good, I also sometimes use them to watch movies -> Bluetooth out from TV, instead of my sound bar.
CONS
The bluetooth mic is ok.. Callers say they hear a lot of background noise. They are not water resistant so you might have to wipe down, if you sweat a lot. No hardshell case. The audible voice when paring, etc is ok.
APP
The app is ok, I barely use it, but I did create a sound profile but I use an eq app. The app doesn't seem like it connects unless you open it (app).
Android User / I use an EQ app / HiFi Streaming Service
