An interesting, above average approach to music
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With regard to the Skullcandy Crusher series, there are a few items worthy of noting: 1. Description. These headphones are a matte black, not a gloss black, please be aware of that. 2. Design. Detachable cord (Major Plus) and collapsible for on the go storage help to make this a mobile headset. The case is merely a standard soft case with a drawstring (but no drawstring slider?) with a somewhat stylish skull candy black on black emblem design. 3. Additional features. Mic button cable (will pause iPod, have not tried w/phone) and the bass slider. The bass slider is a big one and I'll get into that in a moment in the sound category, but it does require a battery for their "Sensory Driver" battery is included. 4. Sound. Both innovative and bland. The sound is by no means a true sound so if you are looking for honest headphones, you're going to have to increase your price range (recommended V-Moda M-100 for style and bass, Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro for honest sound and adaptability) which is what costs this headphone a star. With that said, they bass slider is just amazing. I bought these to here the boom, and this delivers the boom alright. Particularly useful for EDM, D&B, and House these headphones will make you smile with how your ears will feel while listening to music. Hearing + Feeling = Innovative and worth the price I paid. 5. Comfort. Rather comfortable ear pads, though tight fitting around larger heads. Are they worth $100.00? Probably not, in truth. But for $79.99 these are a unique and fun experience.

GoodTreble/Mid Quality, Impressive Bass
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had previously owned a pair of Sol Republic v10's (on-ear) but wanted a set of headphones I could wear all day at work that would not hurt my ears. I wanted something affordable, over ear, and with stronger bass. After I got these, I tested them to Flux Pavillion's 'Bass Cannon' and about lost it, the amount of bass blew my socks off! Very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time and the adjustable slider on the back of the left ear cup allows you to customize the listening experience. 9/10.

Great for every activity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these as a gift for my fiancé. He's had them for 2 weeks now and wears them at work every day. The sound is crisp and clear with a great bass hit. Really incredible for a pair of headphones in this price point! He works for a property management company, so he spends his day surrunded by noise from machines and construction going on. He hears NONE of it. The over the ear design is comfortable for long hours (he works 8 hour days) and works well to keep the noise out and the music in. Being corded is a bonus, no fear of dead batteries. The cord does detach which is a great feature. He doesn't have to worry about ruining the wiring or one side going blank because he bent the incoming wires wrong. Long story short; great headphones at a great price. Comfortable, good sound, look awesome.

Really good headphones, sometimes annoying.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these for a set of traveling headphones. While they're great sounding, and with some EQ work, they sound amazing, they leave a bit to be desired. The transducer has a really small frequency response, so with some songs that have high or mid subbass, the transducer won't generate the bass feeling for that. But overall, good heaphones. I returned them to try another set that would be less annoying on my head.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OMG these headphones are so awesome. When i first brought them I was so excited. I was a little confuse cause with the battery. i didnt know where to put it at. After finding where it goes, i was ready to jam. The bass that it has is, is out the door. Its like a sound system u have in a car or something. The sound and the bass is awesome. I would recommend these to everybody.

Not worth the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to return them. We're not loud enough. The good: extra bass feature works pretty good, you can definitely feel the bass. The sound is alright. Not the best. The bad: not wireless. And the price tag. Not worth it few dollars more get the beats.

Awesome experience...with some considerations
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first put in the battery and plugged these headphones into my iPad, my initial honest reaction was confusion. The awesome, extreme bass boost I recalled from previewing these headphones at the store was completely absent. After a while, I switched out the battery, wondering if it was dead or faulty. The new battery did the same thing--no bass, even with the bass slider on the headphones turned to max. I became frustrated and confused, wondering if perhaps the headphones were broken and I would have to exchange them. After messing with every setting I could find, the bass suddenly kicked in, in awesome, amazing full force--but only when I had my volume setting very, very (for me at least) high. I tend to listen to music with the volume a little lower. I love intense bass, and I love music. But it had never occurred to me that the awesome bass boosting function on these headphones would simply automatically shut off and be unusable unless the volume on both my iPad and computer were set to over half way up. I won't lie, that aspect was something that hadn't occurred to me and I had never seen mentioned in previous reviews, presumably because a majority of people love listening to their music loudly as part of the immersive experience. As I said, I do love music, and bass is the most important aspect of sound quality to me, but I'm disappointed I can't even choose to utilize the bass boost feature unless I have the volume way up on any device. It really took some of the enjoyment out for me. I still have been listening to the songs, but find I can only enjoy the bass boost for short durations of time before the sheer loudness of the songs begins to aggravate me. When I turn the volume back down, poof, the boost is gone. It's unfortunate for me. However--I do still highly recommend those. My personal issue of enjoying a quieter listening volume aside, for a vast majority of people, these are going to be amazing. The quality of the headphones is good, they are comfortable, they don't squish my ears, and when the bass boost is on, the quality is utterly amazing and certainly a cool experience. But if you don't enjoy prolonged periods of very loud music, you may want to reconsider as well.

Best value for price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm always pleasantly surprised with skull candy products. They look sleek and modern, have amazing performance, and are cheaper than the competition. I've had skull candy headphones before, and after comparing these to the Beats by Dre, it was a no brainer. Skull candy was by far the better deal. These sound amazing! You can even dial up the bass so high you feel your face vibrating! Or you can turn it all the way down to nothing if bass isn't your style.

Bass is great when listening to loud music
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a bass lover and that's why I got these headphones. I have used these heads for a couple months and I have found a few good things and bad things from these headphones. GOOD -The BASS! I haven't found any other headphone or earbuds that can produce the same effect and bass. I love the bass from these headphones when I blast my music -Has mic on the cord. -Detachable cord from headphone. Great for replacing if cord ever gets ruined. -Decent cushion on them. BAD -Bass drivers only work well when music is loud. If you have your volume at a medium level, the bass driver will do this thing where it turns on and off, and it gets really annoying. Driver won't even work with low volume levels. -Feels cheap. Feel like it will break so I got the warranty with them -Regular sound driver is okay. I've heard better sound from cheaper earbuds. -A bit too chunky for me but that because of the bass drivers. I would love for Skullcandy to make a higher end version where the build and material quality are better. Better sound drivers in them. If they can get the bass drivers to work with low levels of volume, that would be great! It may cost another $100 or so but it may be worth it if they do it right.

Great price, unbeleivable bass slide saturates you
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great price, the bass slide saturates you in the music. When you feel the bass, and yes I said feel the bass, you do not lose one bit of the clarity and seperations of all the stereo frequencies. EXCELLENT SET OF HEADPHONES.

Awesome Headphones, Decent Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought these recently. I've been looking for headphones with great sound, but not horribly overpriced (*cough* Beats *cough*). I found these the over day, and fell in love with them immediately. The adjustable bass love is a really awesome feature, allowing you to adjust the bass for whatever type of music without messing with EQ levels on your device, and the sound is awesome!!!

A lot of Vibrations...Not much Bass
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The bass control has little to with controlling bass. What it does is increase or decrease the motor that controls how much or how little ear cups should vibrate. The battery that is required is not to power any sub or amp, it powers the vibrating mechanism. So in all, you're paying for a $40 headphone that vibrates. Sound quality is on par with most $40-$60 headphones.

Awesome Headphones! Well worth the price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these headphones and an Xbone stereo headset adapter on the same day. The headphones work great with the adapter, my laptop, and my phone! The only complaint is that on my laptop, the bass will not activate unless the volume is at at least 20. Other than that, an awesome buy! :D

Almost perfect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones have great sound and the bass is amazeballs. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because you have to have the volume up to a certain level before the bass boost starts working.
