The best thing this side of sixty dollars!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Knowing how much these little guys cost, I did not have high expectations, and on a lot of those fronts I was correct after using them for a few days. Not stellar battery life, just okay sound quality, obviously no noise canceling to speak of. Skullcandy reports 3.5 hours of built in battery life, and another 8.5 in the case. I did not get anywhere near those numbers in my testing, but I am actually okay with it! They did a few things well, and here is where they got a lot of things right on these. They stay in well for me. Yes I realize this is a personal choice, and these ape the "modern design standard" a little bit in terms of form factor, but they have similar holding power to a pair of the common brand's "pro" headphones. Sound quality wasn't knocking any socks off, neither are the microphones, of which there are one on each side, so you can use each bud solo. Bluetooth connectivity is rock solid thanks to the BT5.2, and they were consistent with my iPhone 12 Pro. The case is a nice little size, and I loved the addition of the keeper strap to carabiner them inside my bag. Sweat and water resistant was also a nice surprise at this price. I was a little surprised at the throwback to micro USB, but it works out okay in this case, if they're keeping costs down.

Skull Candy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, the quality of these headphones are pretty good, especially at this price point. The headphones and case are compact and very lightweight. The case itself has a magnetic feature to keep it closed and keep the headphones in it while they’re not being used. The only thing I don’t like about the case is that the headphones themselves are part of the case, so when you take them out the case has holes which means dirt or water could get in it. They charge quickly and the battery lasts long, which is great. There’s no light indication on the headphones or case to let you know where the charge is at, so you just need to be mindful of that. The sound of the headphones is a solid 8/10. Certainly not the best sound quality compared to higher end headphones, but again for the price it’s very solid. There also is not automatic noise cancelling. The headphones have buttons on the sides to turn them on/off, connect to Bluetooth, adjust volume, and skip songs. The buttons are a little hard to push and is uncomfortable when you’re wearing them. I only use the buttons to turn them on/off for this reason. I mostly use these headphones for working out and have no issues with the fit or them falling out. They are comfortable and do what I need them to do. Would definitely recommend these. I’ve used many skull candy headphones and still continue to enjoy their products.

Good, Inexpensive, Wireless Earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Included in the box are the earbuds themselves, the charging case, a total of 3 sets of silicone ear tips, and a short 5” Micro-USB charging cable. Once the earbuds and case are charged, pairing is quick and painless. Music playback quality is acceptable, with OK bass, crisp treble, and plenty of volume. Calls have been clear to both parties. Sound is improved by having a good seal by choosing the right ear tips. The earbuds are strikingly small. They fit comfortably in my ears and have been very secure through activities such as exercising and yard work. Battery life has matched the advertised 3.5hrs for the earbuds. The on-bud controls are easy to understand and execute with the earbuds providing an audible beep to let you know how long you’ve depressed the button. Tile support is a very nice feature, especially considering the price point. Setup is easy to step through and worked fine with the only issue being that my 50-year old ears can barely hear the frequency of the location chirp. A couple of other random thoughts/opinions: I’m disappointed by the use of Micro-USB over the modern and ubiquitous USB-C. Also, the on-bud controls are physical buttons and can require a fair amount of force to depress. Overall, the Skullcandy Dime 2 earbuds are a good option for inexpensive, wireless, in-ear earbuds.

Solid Earbuds at an Affordable Price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m very happy with these Skullcandy Ear Buds! They sound great and the fit is snug to the point you’d think they had active noise cancelling. The bass and treble is excellent for music, podcasts, etc. Using them for voice calling is also very good. Either earbud or both can be used and others on the receiving end have said that I come across very clearly. Out of the box I charged them for a couple of hours. I had used the earbuds for about 2 hours straight and the battery reading in the app still had them at about 30%. I put them into the charging case and used them again for a couple more hours. Battery life is impressive. The info online says you’ll get about 12 hours of total use time between the buds and case. Pairing was a simple process typical of other brands and I set them up within a minute or two. The controls are easy to use as well. Again very similar to others where you tap the bud one time to play or pause, two times for volume controls, etc. Nothing too complicated at all. These will work with your voice assistants using the controls as well. One nice feature is that it has a “Tile” locator built in so as long as you set it up properly with the app, you’ll be able to locate them where they had been used last. This comes in very handy for me. (Well actually, the others in my house that steal and use them without telling me!) Give these a try. For the price, ease of use and sound quality, you won’t be disappointed.

Basic earbuds with great sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dime 2 earbuds fit good, are easy to setup and really sound great for an inexpensive set. I appreciated the minimalist eco-friendly packaging. The strange design of the case with the open slots for the back of the earbuds to show through doesn’t seem to have a functional purpose other than maybe to show off the little skull insignia. It might have been useful if maybe the earbud LED’s were made visible to see their charge status with the top cover closed. Charging the earbuds in the case is fairly quick and seems to come pretty close to the stated play times per charge. The included USB charging cable is very short (about 4 inches). The earbuds do have several control functions (play, pause, skip, volume, etc.) that are accessed by pressing the rubber sides to activate what feels like a mechanical switch underneath. They do function as intended. The problem for me when in-ear is that the amount of force required, while not a lot, is enough to push the earbud uncomfortably into the ear though. Just be aware these are not the type of buds that you can lightly tap to control. If you just want a pair of reasonably priced earbuds to pop in and start jamming with these will work well.

Great overall! Just one thing...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality is great, the range of volume is really good, and they're programmed with a British accent which is cool. I would just say I've had headphones with longer battery life. They don't die super fast, but they have a slightly shorter battery life than my others. Great otherwise!

Decent sound, a little finnicky
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality of the Dime XT 2 is very good, particularly with its surround features. My two biggest complaints are issues i have always had with skullcandy products. 1. The insistence on the use of MicroUSB rather than USB-C is a little frustrating 2. More frustrating is that my device will constantly reconnect to the Dime buds while they're in the case. I turn them off, put them away, my device reconnects. I turn them off again, shut the case, reconnects. I don't want to have to turn my Bluetooth on and off every time. I want the headphones to stay off and disconnected when I've turned them off and put them in the case. I had the same issue with my previous skullcandy earbuds and had really hoped they'd fixed this issue. I also find that these headphones will get very choppy at the gym, I presume because of interference with other Bluetooth devices since almost everyone there has music on. There may be nothing they can do with that, someone with more knowledge on bluetooth would know.

Mini and Mighty?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. That's what the packaging for the Skullcandy - Dime True Wireless In-Ear Headphones claims and ya know what? For an entry level ear bud they ain't half bad at all. ONE thing I was impressed with was the QR code in the packaging which takes you directly the product website. No biggie I know but newbies will love the videos that walk the user through pairing process and shows how to use the various features. Pretty sweet actually. Are these buds mighty? Yeah they can get pretty loud. But at a cost or two actually. Played at full volume is not recommended first of all if you'd like to hold on to your ability to hear later in life, but wide open the Skullcandy - Dime True Wireless In-Ear Headphones gives up some of its tonal quality and the sound is distorted. Also, you will be sharing your tunes with anyone near you at the time. What these buds may give up at high volume they make up with a killer warranty. One full year, but the killer part is that if the products been upgraded SKULLCANDY will let ya swap em out for the updated replacement. Not bad at all. Although not waterproof, feel free to sweat and not destroy your Skullcandy - Dime True Wireless In-Ear Headphones. Mini & Mighty and with 3.5 hours of play time these are well worth the low cost. Another WIN for SKULLCANDY. CHEERS!

A winner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unpacking and opening the Dime 2 earbuds was not a confidence-inspiring event: the packaging didn’t suggest a high-quality item. Rather, the package felt not unlike something you’d pick up at a gas station on a road trip because you forgot your favorite ear buds, and needed something to get you through a few days, then throw away. BUT - the packaging (which has since been discarded) was the only thing that seemed cheap. The ear buds and charging case look and feel very high-quality. There are extra ear gels, so you’re likely to get a decent fit as well. Setup (pairing, reconnect, etc.) was quick and out of the way on the first try. I had some initial concerns about the controls - I thought it might be a frustrating learning curve, but their use is rather intuitive, and was easy to become accustomed to after only a few routine uses. Unlike past ear bud sets, I’m enjoying the “charge the charging case, which charges the device” technology. These boast 3.5 hours of use per charge, and the case provides an additional two full charges before it needs to be charged. Finally, the sound quality is phenomenal!

Not the best
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent earbuds with great audio quality for the price. The built in tile feature is awesome. However, the battery life is very disappointing. I know it says only 3 hours, which I was willing to put up with, but it doesn’t even seem to last that long. Also, the touch controls require a lot of pressure since they are physical buttons. The pairing/ connection is quite buggy as well, especially when the earbuds are at low battery. If you are looking for excellent quality earbuds under $25 get the Jlab Go Air Pop earbuds.

Disconnected, Disconnected to the infinity power

Great sound at an affordable price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box, these were very easy to pair with my iPhone 13. Once paired, the sound was exceptional. It has very easy controls. A simple tapping motion pauses the music. A second tap played the music again. You can also adjust the volume which is a nice The bass is really good but not overwhelming which will often drown out the music. Though these do not block out all the back noise, it is close. When using on a call, these are excellent as well. The clarity of the voice on the other end is crystal clear. I also was told how clear I sounded. Charging these headphones are very quick. The full charge last a good amount of time. I used these for eight hours straight alternating between calls and music and still had about fifty percent battery. The range is also very good as I had the phone on my front porch and was cutting the front and backyard and never got out of range. All in all, these are a great value and would highly recommend. Excellent sound, long battery life and easy pairing.

Great sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the box is the headphones, carrying/charging case, USB-A to micro usb charging cord for the case, 2 extra pairs of buds sized large and small, and an instruction/information handbook. The Skullcandy Dime 2 (D2) are a stylish addition to Skullcandy’s line of true wireless earbuds, sporting a fresh look in a lightweight case. Their sound is clear, smooth, exactly what you would expect from Skull candy with no extra flair or gimmicks. The sound canceling is a more or less sort of thing, not bad for in ear headphones but varies as the D2’s sort of shift about in your ear over time. I tried every size of the buds they come with, to no avail they slowly fell out regardless. The buttons are also sort of awkward, as they are located on the bit that hangs out of your ear, so pressing down on them shifts them around as well. The case is lightweight, but also feels fragile and a bit flimsy. Something you’d have to handle with care for it to last a good while. Overall, they are a decent pair of headphones, nothing horribly bad but nothing particularly special either. Would I recommend to friends or family? Yes for the sound but no for the comfort and charging case.

Made my ears sore. Uncomfortable fit in my ears.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came on here just to write a review. I purchased these today at Walgreens. They sound good but do not get very loud like my Sony earbuds so. They do not fit in my little ears. They hurt and made my ears very sore after 10 minutes of wearing. I'll have to return these and look for a different fit or brand. I'm actively shopping best buy for a different set to fit my ears comfortably.

Not great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are affordable and comfortable to wear in your ear, but the sound quality isn’t great. They have a long battery life and come in a compact case that serves as a charging case and easily fits into your pocket. These come with several sizes of ear gels so you can find the best fit for you, though none fit me as snugly as I like. They are comfortable, as mentioned previously, but they often fall out which is frustrating when you’re exercising. I also don’t like that there is no way to see how much battery life you have left. If you’re looking for something simple & sound quality doesn’t matter to you, then these may work for you but otherwise I wouldn’t recommend.
