Great headphones!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great pair of headphones! The fit is perfect all around and provided lots of comfort. the spund quality is clear, crisp and bold for listening all of my favorite music, podcasts and news. It really helps me stay connected! I'm also impressed with the long battery life and not having to charge often. The active noise cancellation works quite well and definitely better than some direct competitors.. The buttons and controls on this pair of headphones are easy to use and intuitive in design. I also really like the true black color and overall design of this product - it adds flair and style while enjoying the music I love. Overall, this is a very solid pair of headphones that I enjoy wearing to just about anywhere I go. I highly recommend this product!

Absolute bang for your buck
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned several active noise cancelling headphones. Some wired, some over ear, some completely wireless. All have their respective strengths and weaknesses (I've never used the Apple set). But generally one constant has always been the price. Most headsets (looking at you Bose and Sony) are pricey. They work well, but you're paying a premium. Other models might be a little cheaper, but they don't sound as good. Enter Skullcandy, a company I've always thought of making cheaper, flashy headphones. I think they hit a home run here balancing ANC, sound quality and features. My only minor gripe is comfort for long durations. IN THE BOX You get the headphones, a USB-C cable, and an Aux cable that plugs into your headset and another listening device. It comes with a carrying bag, but it's a soft bag and won't provide much "crush" protection if, say you threw it in your bag and threw books on top of it. I would have liked a harder case, but those can get bulky and frankly, given the price point here, I'm sure some corners were cut and this is one I'm okay with. It also includes a nice little cheat sheet to familiarize yourself with the buttons. DESIGN AND BUILD Unlike most Skullcandy designs, these are utilitarian and all black. It has a matte finish and frankly, I love it. They don't stick out in the crowd, but I'm not one that intends to make fashion statements with my headphones. They're made of plastic, like most all headphones not named Apple, and are light. There is a metal that serves as the band that goes over your head that exposes itself when you adjust the size of the earcups. This is a great choice as I think it will handle wear and tear when fitting the headphones over your head than plastic would. It sounds weird to say, but the headphones feel nice. They are light but have a well-built-togetherness that doesn't give you the sense that they're cheap or prone to break easily. The buttons like most headphones are limited which in my opinion is a good thing. There's power, pairing and volume (change tracks). EASE OF USE AND SOUND QUALITY In 2021, I'm certain everyone has used Bluetooth headphones at some point and are familiar with the pairing process. You simply hold the power button to turn them on, put them in pairing and your phone will find them instantly. It's virtually the same process as every other types of headphones. The buttons are responsive, although there's always a slight delay in changing tracks, but that's there with all headphones in my experience. I found the sound quality to be pretty dang good. I'm no audiophile, but I know what sounds good and what doesn't. The bass wasn't as deep as say the Sony ANC headphones, but It's not lacking and I doubt most people will notice or care the difference. Whether it was country, pop, classical or podcasts, I thought it had good highs and lows (vs. a muddled sound). The active noise cancelling was also pretty impressive. All that I can say and indeed, need to say, is that it works really well. When going for a walk I could block out the ambient noise (but be careful) and when at home, it allowed me to focus when my kids were playing in the other room. When no music is playing, some noise will get in, but if you have ANC and have some music playing, you can basically block out the noises of the world. For my money, I would put the ANC on par with Sony or Bose. I know some people will disagree and can point to some differences and I wouldn't necessarily argue, but for the average joe looking for ANC, the point is this is all you need. COMFORT As I mentioned earlier, my only gripe, is the comfort level. And part of my gripes are personal preference, so my complaints might not bother you. But these are touted (I believe) as "over the ear" headphones, meaning they cover your ear and the earcups rest on your head. Versus on ear headphones that rest, physically, on your ears. Not sure if it's because I have big ears (I've never been told I do, but I'm a big guy) these end up resting partially on my ears versus going all the way around them. This ends up putting pressure on my ears and it starts to get a little uncomfortable after an hour or so. Again, these may cover your ears entirely or you may not have discomfort with on ear types of ear cups, but it bothered me. I do want to add a little about the earcups. What actually keeps them from being more uncomfortable is the foam they're made out of. I didn't dive deep into how they're made, but they feel like memory foam. I personally liked Skullcandy's foam versus Bose/Sony foam ear cups. They make for a better seal and I think they do a better job of relieving some of the pressure while wearing them. Part of the reason these headphones feel more "premium" to me is the ear cups which I thought were really comfortable. I just wish the ear cups were just a tad bigger. CONCLUSION Hands down, if you are looking for noise cancelling headphones you need to take a strong look at these. The sound is great and the noise cancellation is almost on par with Sony and Bose (again, from average joe perspective). And they're significantly cheaper. If money is truly no object, sure spring for the more expensive ones, but otherwise, these Skullcandy's perform nearly as well as them at half the price. I really was impressed with their performance.

Works well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good sound, comfortable, good battery life. Only wish the o -set controls were easier to see/find. Probably OK if you are actually blind, since it's basically by touch, but if you're just old and can't see well, they are not easy to distinguish. Other than that, it works well. Been using almost a month now with no other issues. Good value for the money.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have these and love them. I work a lot when Im away from my office. I work a lot when I'm traveling, and the noise cancellation feature helps tremendously, especially on airplanes. They work so well, I bought these for my partner for Christmas. There's no strain on your ears.

Excellent active noise canceling capabilities
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Skullcandy - Hesh ANC Over the Ear Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones are well built and ergonomic. They are comfortable and produce little fatigue associated with over the ear headphones. They sound rich, although a little heavy on the bass side, but not enough to muddy the sound. I did find that placement over the ear is key, highs seemed to fade quickly if the cup was not aligned properly over your ear, this is the first time I ever remember encountering this on headphones of the fully over the ear variety. The active noise cancelling is about the best I have encountered, doing a great job filtering out background noise. Nothing complex with the controls, they are pretty much standard with a dedicated noise cancelling on/off button. The headphones charge using a USB-C plug and the headphones also have a line in plug. Bluetooth connections were solid, never had any dropped connections. Pros: • Quality of build • Excellent active noise cancellation • Good sounding • Comfortable Cons: • They are more bass focused then most (could be a Pro for some people).

Nice comfortable and easy to wear headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are great. They are comfy so all day wear is possible even with glasses. Battery is long lasting and the best part they including a headphone wire, which makes it easy to connect to older devices, or PC's if you don't want to use bluetooth. Setup and use is easy. Music sounded good to me via the phone and I had no issues with videos either. The Active Noise Cancelling worked, but I think a lot of that could be from the thicker foam the use on the ear cups to surround your ears. Overall they sound great, come with a nice pouch to making carrying in your backpack viable. Have a great battery life and sound good with options between wired listening and wireless which is awesome. Love the cans.

There is room for improvement with the Hesh ANC.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The retail price puts these kind of in the middle of the price range for average customers. Not really expensive, but also not cheap. Overall, not a bad set of headphones, but there are a few issue that keep them from a definite recommendation. First off, these are kind of cheaply made and cheap looking. The matte black on the earcups and most of the headband I like, but I don't like the gloss black yoke and the inlay of gloss black on the top of the headband. Not sure what Skullcandy was thinking, but a matte black for everything would have been MUCH better and make the headphones look less cheapy. The headphones run small, so if you have a large head you will have to extend out the headband to max and that may still be snug. Even worse, when you extend out the headband they make these more round looking on your head and stick out more on the sides. I have a slightly larger than average head and I have to extend these out to a few clicks from fully extended. The earcups are also on the small size, so if you have larger than average ears they may not completely fit inside the opening. Overall, just making these a little larger in these areas would have been a plus. Sound quality is pretty decent with ANC off. The ANC itself works pretty well, but you won't confuse the ANC with higher end headphones. One negative of the ANC is that the sound signature does change and not for the good, IMO. With ANC on you lose some of the detail in the sound and a noticeable amount of bass reduction. In ambient mode they sound pretty good and I like that they included this mode. In any mode these don't have the best high end treble quality. The sound output on these is pretty low. I would say listening to these at 80% volume is similar to most other headphones at 60%. So if you like to really blast your headphones, the lack of volume on these could be an issue. In wired mode these sound very dull and downright lousy. Controls are a bit awkward to get used to. All buttons are on one long rubber piece and all raise dbuttons are very close together. You end up trying to feel for what button you need. You do get voice prompts for settings, power on/off and Bluetooth. Catch these on sale and I would say they are a good option. Just make sure to try them on at the store to make sure they fit if you have a large head.

Great Sound and Features for an Attractive Price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Skullcandy - Hesh ANC - Over the Ear - Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones are a great offering for this price-point. Easy to pair and control. Very comfortable. And the carrying pouch with pockets is a nice addition. The 3 listening modes work geat: Noise Canceling | Regular (Noise Cancelling off) | Ambient Sound. I do wish the volume was stronger. Full volume is usually way too high for me on most headphones. These were only slightly over-loud with the volume maxed out. Overall, the Skullcandy - Hesh ANC - Over the Ear - Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones offer great sound and full features for a very attractive price.

My go to!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally just wanted to test these out and see if they had any heat. They do! Out of the box they come in a cool travel bag that is surprisingly well made. Normally the carrying sac is eye pleasing but not much more than that. This one is triple thick with a soft fleece inner and a thick woven nylon outer. The headset is on the smaller side so a person with a larger head may not vibe on them as hard as I have. The build of the headset is well made with a light but durable feel. The ear pads feel like real leather and are super comfortable to rock for hours at a time. The connection is easy and does not require you download Skullcandy’s special app like so many other products do. Just turn it on and it speaks that it is ready to pair. I was able to pair easily with Apple, Android, and Windows products with zero issues each time. The quick charge feature is a plus if you forget to charge them or have not fully charged them. It claims a ten-minute charge will last three hours (I did not clock it but yea that is about right). The headset even comes with Tile built in (NFC) to make locating your headset quick and simple. The best part though of course is the clarity of the sound. The highs are crisp, and lows can rattle bone (if that is your thing). I was listening to DJs on a live stream and with the noise cancelling feature on I almost felt like I was actually at the club. When that beat dropssssss, straight feeling it. I cannot say enough good good about these, Top marks to Skullcandy, beautifully designed and superiorly well made. Highly recommend.

Amazing sound quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for a headphone that is true to its word on noise canceling, these are incredible. This product includes the headphones, carrying bag, a USB-C charging cord, and an AUX cord. The headphones are adjustable on top so they're great for all head sizes. I have a fairly small head and they are a perfect fit on the smallest/original sizing. These also easily fold up to make them easily fit in the carrying bag and easy to take on the go. Once charged, simply press the power button. The headphones will then begin trying to pair with a bluetooth source automatically. Simply select your headphones from your device. They are labeled "Hesh ANC". The sound quality of these is incredible. They also cancel nearly all surrounding noise even if you have no music/sound playing through them. These have been very useful for me to use while working when I have my four year old because I can still focus on what I'm working on without any outside noise. On a full charge they offer almost a full days worth of battery life. However, they also offer a rapid charge that gives you three hours of battery life after just ten minutes of charging. Perfect for a quick charge in the airport before your flight. Another incredible feature is that they have tracking from the Tile app! I tend to lose things in my apartment often so this is a great feature if I'm unsure where I've left them. These are a great set of high quality over the ear headphones.
