    Great for Podcasts

These headphones are great for anyone that would like to listen to podcasts or music throughout their day. Each earbud can be used by itself, and both have equalizer controls (Music, Podcast and Movie). Music mode is the standard listening settings, but I find it to be lacking in bass. Podcast mode boosts the treble and dumps the bass so voices come forward. Movie mode slightly boosts the bass for a little more depth while watching videos, but the sound becomes muffled somehow. These headphones are super easy to pair. Theyhave pretty good battery life, about 4 hours on a full charge, while the case has about 24 hours. In about 10 minutes in the charging case, a depleted earbud will gain about 50% battery life, which I was pretty impressed by. Overall these are pretty good earbuds.

    Not bad, not great

Great sound quality, relatively comfortable, but not entirely reliable. Connection issues during the whole life of the earbuds, and barely lasted a year before the left earbud began malfunctioning, causing the sound to fade in and out with something simple as an adjustment in-ear. Have to keep it completely still or the sound flickers in and out. Right earbud still works good by itself though.

They're OK for $80 but it's better to save up

I admit I was sceptical going into these; $80 true wireless earbuds that look like black AirPods. Skullcandy got a lot right with them. They use USB-C for charging, added wing tips to hold them in your ear, the included ear tips are comfortable, and there's enough of the eartips that you'll find a right fit for you. Oddly enough, I had to go with the largest size as they wouldn't make a seal in my left ear but I usually use medium on most other earbuds. That's about it though. The Skullcandy app is absolutely terrible, the adjustable EQ lets you choose between 3 presets but none of them actually change the audio much, their sound quality is worse than the wired earbuds that used to come with iPhone and Galaxy phones, and their charging case is cheap and the lid opens too easily. I didn't expect a lot for $80 and that's exactly what I got: not a lot. It's better to save up more and get something else like the Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Buds+, or even the regular AirPods if they fit your ears. Best Buy has been selling the Buds+ and AirPods at lower prices lately. Yeah, they're still $30-$50 more than the Indy Evo from Skullcandy but you get a lot more out of them. Better sound quality, better wireless connectivity, higher quality materials, longer battery life (with the Buds+), an EQ that actually makes a difference (Buds/Buds+), Qi charging (Buds/Buds+), and a slew of other features. I know Skullcandy pushes their brand as being a value and I guess that's what these are but really, save up more money and get something a little better. You don't have to go all out and get $300 Sennheiser earbuds but something better than these. You'll be happier in the long run.

Great buy great sound took back a pair of Samsung to keep these I think they sound as great as the expensive ones and my wife has the air-bud pros by apple and I did not hear difference in sound I probably will buy couple more as gifts while at a reasonable price at a five rating I would give a ten rating if I could anything made by Skullcandy is going to be great I have two different ones made by Skullcandy and can’t tell the difference except price quality!

So far these have held up better than the other pair of Skullcandy earbuds I purchased. The sound is great and the fit is comfortable. Easy to connect via Bluetooth to phone. I love the ease of being able to take calls using them. I hope these will last for sometime because I am very happy with them.

Good sound but finicky touch controls

These were pretty comfortable, not super loud but good sound anyway. Trouble is the touch buttons do not always accept taps, and every time I accidentally tapped enough times to engage ambient control a high pitched screeching sound came out of one of the earbuds and nearly blew my ear out. Maybe it's a fluke with just mine but it's happened three times. Customer support just told me to reset them but that didn't stop the issue. I was genuinely afraid to touch them once they were in my ears. I love the two other pairs of skull candy headphones I have, just not these.

These are actually worth the buy. I bought them for when I go to the gym. Great base. Noise cancelling. They slide out when I sweat but it’s ok. It’s still worth the buy

Sync and Auto-On/Off are glitchy and garbage

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The sound quality on these headphones is great, and they fit very comfortably in your ear with a variety of inserts to adjust. The various modes are great for exercise, podcasts, or just about anything you can think of. However, the bluetooth on these headphones is worse than the $30 pair I had before. The nicest way I can say it is "hot garbage". 1) Auto-Off just simply doesn't work about 95% of the time. The right ear bud doesn't seat properly in the case which leads to it not getting charged. When you close the case, the headphones like to power back on and then automatically connect back to your phone. Only way to fix it is to open and close the case about 10 times or turn off your bluetooth. If you turn off the bluetooth, you'll still probably drain the battery on the headphones because the connection sensitivity is trash. In fact, it can be extremely random as well. On multiple occasions I've been sitting downstairs or upstairs and the headphones will randomly decide to connect to my device. 2) Charging. This case does not like to charge properly unless you use the exact tiny cable it came with. I've used a secondary after market cable and it just simply is not effective.

    Not all that great

This is probably the third or fourth true wireless bluetooth headphones that I purchased and this one was just like the other ones. For some reason, maybe it's because of the size of my ear canal, the right earpiece will not stay in my ear after a certain length of time. The best way I can describe it is this, it feels like there is a ear wax buildup and it's causing the earbud to slide out of my ear. I went to my ear doctor to have him check the level of ear wax in my ear and he cleaned it out and it was fine and it worked well for about a week and then it started up again. What I fully intended to do was bring the headphones with me to the ear doctor wear them in my ear to a point where it is so bad that I had to take it out and scratch and then had to have my ear doctor check that your wax in my ear. It's just really so frustrating that I'm just going to go back to wearing the Bluetooth headphones that have the your pieces that go in the ear with a cord. I guess I'm just not one of the fortunate ones that can use this type of bluetooth headphones without major complications. Now like someone else mentioned, the sound quality really isn't all that good considering the amount that I paid for the headphones. I really honestly expected it to have heavier base just like the corded Skullcandy headphones that I bought in the past. In terms of the sound quality while on the phone, I would say it's subpar. All I can say really is this, buy them, give them a shot and see what you think and if you don't like them, do what I did and return them.
