Great ear plugs for simple use

These ear plugs are very good in style and worth the price. I use them almost everyday. I have use this product since it came out. Its Good sound Quality, however when you rub the wire it make the scuffle sound. Variety of color styles to choose from. The price is pretty good, but do recommend to buy at the store site than on line, because the store usally will have sales and the prices ranges between 13$ or less. I got 2 for 20$. The ONLY proble with them is one side of the ear phone always goes out. One pair lasted me since last december 2009. My first pair lasted me 3 months. I believe its due to pull and tug and winding the wire breaking the cord. so the built quality is low. But Very good for simple every day use, can buy multiples and stylish. I recommend to everyone.

My best set of ear buds yet

Though I can't speak to the durability of this product, I'm very happy with the sound quality of these ear buds for the price. I purchased them about three days ago and haven't found any issues yet. After some messing with the different gels I settled on the medium sized ones. Picking the right gel seems to be the biggest influence on sound quality. The small ones sounded very tinny because they didn't create a good seal with my ears. The largest ones sounded just like any other ear buds because they made a seal, but a very shallow seal.
My only complaint with these is that one of earbuds (can't tell you which because they're not labeled left or right) makes a clicking sound when I press on it. It sounds like a mouse click and is decently annoying when trying to sleep.

First of all, I am already normally biased against earbuds, as I prefer studio headphones over all others.
Bass: It is definitely "enhanced." It helps, as many earbuds simply lack so much in bass, making my cell phone a more worthy contender, but these earbuds do a pretty decent job at it, although it does sound too artificial at times.
One thing I noticed is that it creates a bit of static noise when plugged into my laptop. I have plugged in various headphones (earbud, studio, out to surround sound) and have not heard the slightest sound.
The gel inserts can't seem to ever fit perfectly, but I don't blame the company. Three sets were a good inclusion and they can't account for every variance in ear canal size.
Overall, they work pretty well. One does hear detail with these, even at an average price of $17.
Although, we'll see how they operate when I pass the six-month mark and start venturing toward forbidden one-year ownership territory.

Nice For The Price

Skullcandy Ink'd headphones come with three different silicone buds to fit your ear. I use the middle bud and it fits comfortably, with awesome noise reduction. The cartoon skulls are neat looking, but nobody's really going to see that under my hair. What I like best about these are the fit and the sound quality, which is clear and deep for this price range. Free shipping didn't hurt either. These are perfect for my use, which is jogging. At this price I can afford to replace the buds when they wear out.

Having been stepped on and sat on many times, my shuffle and headphones are STILL alive :) such a great value for the price. it blocks out all my baby cousins' screaming while i'm doing homework. perfect now they can come over anytime they want. haha
I was expecting the earbuds to be a lime green [my fav color] but when they came it was a darker, normal green {yuck!!}. I was kinda disappointed but they earbuds themselves were so great, I forgot bout it.
I'm happy. :D

I bought these last weekend with my new laptop to watch movies on the airplane and to use with my Ipod. I was on a flight this week and the sound was great. Much better than another brand I bought for the same price. I have been looking for a new pair of headsets for a while. They do have some bass, but I dont see it as overpowering. I think it makes the music flow much better. I was worried about the skull on the side, but I bought a white pair and can barely see it. I am very pleased with these and think you will be too.

Not a Great Buy

I bought these about 3-4 months ago. The sound quality is great and can really block out outside noise.
However, the silicon gels that come with these are really easy to lose even when they're ON the earbuds. I take them out of my pocket and find one just gone. I lost one of the small sizes and one of the medium sizes.
These earbuds are not very durable at all. They work great for 5 months tops and then one of the earphones stop working. It generates a static noise every now and then but that is it.
For $20, I wasn't happy with this product.

I just tried my sons out while I was mowing on the tractor. The sound was incredible. The noise reduction was unbelievable. It blocked out about 95% of the sound of the mower. I was jamming big time! So I came on-line to buy my own pair. The fit in my ears was perfect. Other headphones are too big, I have had a very hard time with ear buds and have tried every one on the market, I was ready to go buy the old fashion headphones again because I could not find a pair that fit. These fit, felt good and I highly recomend them.

I have now gone through two of these earbuds. The first set lost sound in one of the headphones after about 8 months of use.
I thought that it might have been a fluke so I went back to best buy and purchased another set. A few days ago my second set stopped working. It had the same exact problem! It only lasted about 2 months!
While they worked the sound quality was certainly better than you would have expected given the low price. They were fairly comfortable as well.
The problem is that if you have to buy a new set every two months then these are no longer cost-effective. The durability on these things is terrible. I am not happy at all with their quality.
I have older sets of earbuds from other companies that are still going strong. The only problem with this particular product is that it seems as though the wiring at the jack is unbelievably fragile.

I love skullcandy, i have many of their products, and these are one of my favorites. They are excellent, when i use them i cant hear anything else, and the volume doesnt need to be up very high. The bass is good on them, which i love, and they are pretty durable, i havnt had them break yet. the last pair i had did, but that was after they went through the washing machine, like 5+ times, and they still mostly work. I would recommend buying them, plus their easy to conceal if your in class or something :),

This is a great pair of earbuds for use during exercise. They don't fall out under heavy perspiration. The cord is a bit long for this use, but it is manageable.

Worst headphones I've purchased

Since day one I did not find the sound quality good at all -- odd considering all the hype about Skullcandy's sound quality. I'm personally not much a fan of the plastic in-ear buds as I tend to either lose them or have trouble trying to get them to stay put. That said, I must admit that they are pretty effective at blocking out outside noise if you can get them to stay in place.
Lasted me about 4 weeks before one of the headphones stopped working correctly -- would intermittently blare static in between periods of silence...& thus ended my experience with Skullcandy.
For the best value for your money, I would absolutely recommend going with the $9.99 JVC Gumy's instead.

i have had several pairs of these. each time one of the headphones would stop working and crackle or go on and off. i think its bad wiring in the jack because wiggling the jack would make the around return for a second. they are great when they work but dont last more than about three months.

Unfortunately not durable

As a music listener, I have gone from headphone to headphone in an attempt to find the best one. I chose Skullcandy Ink'd headphones because it had a nice price of $20. I didn't expect perfection, but I did expect them to work. Unfortunately, these headphones are not durable and break no matter how much care is taken with them. I have gone through 3 pair of these already, in an attempt to see if it was just a defective one or it really was a bad pair of headphones. When they worked (for the few days they did) they have a nice fit and superb sound. I would have enjoyed using them if they could only work for me. Would not recommend.

I've purcahsed 3 pairs of these headphones and the sound has cut out in one of the headphones after only 2 or so months of use on every pair i've owned. When they worked, they were great. Good comfortablility, great sound quality. But if theyre not going to last longer than a few months I don't see the point in purchasing them again. Skull candy is supposed to be a good brand and that's why i gave them so many changes. Not impressed, pretty annoyed by these headphones.

These are the worst pair of heaphones i have ever owned, but they still hold up skullcandy sound and comfort. They offer good sound quality, but it gets distorted at 60% or above on volume. The bass isn't great but it isn't bad, so pop songs might be decent for it. The comfort is good as always, skullcandy does a good job with this. Now for the worst part, the durability. I bought these in july, first one of the headphones came undone where the glue is supposed to hold it together around a month later, after i fixed it both headphones shut down shortly after, including the one that wasnt damaged. If youre willing to spend a $20 every few months then go ahead, these arn't bad with sound quality and comfort, but these things will not holdup at all, so save up your money and get titan's they will last much longer and offer better sound quality.

These headphones are great for someone who is on a tight budget. The bass isn't the greatest I have heard in a headphone but for the price and the size they sound pretty good. I got these for when I go snowboarding and I really enjoyed using them. I actually got a pair of MAXIMO headphones before these and I like them better. Overall these are the best headphones I have had for $20( I've gone through 7 pairs of headphones before these), but they just don't have the sound I am looking for. Hope this review helps deciding.
