I use them with my iPod and ( majority of use) my new DROID HD Smartphone. They are loud, have great bass and clear highs. I had a pair of Sony in-ears that were a bit more expensive. They were broken within 2 months and were much less responsive than these. The "fettucini type" flat cord is great, never tangles and is plenty long. Plus you get a lifetime Warranty. DONT BE PUT OFF BY THE SKULLS AND THE "ROCKER" MOTIF!! These are great!
