Because they fit in the ear canal you can't hear anything else, so they are not my preferred headphone. Bose makes a corded version that fit more like an Apple headphone that do not go in the ear canal.

One side of mine has gone out since. Considering that I have had it for months and it has been through 'rough service'. I can't complain.
