The Skullcandy - Mod True Wireless Earbuds are a great pair of earbuds at an amazing price given how well they work and the features they include. It isn’t common to find true wireless earbuds at this price point which can be used individually with either earbud. Other sets of earbuds require you use only the left or only the right earbud if you only want to use one at a time, but These Skullcandy True Wireless Earbuds have Clear Voice and Smart Mic built-in to each of the earbuds which is a nice feature when you only want to use one at any given time but still be able to answer calls and listen to music. This also means you can essentially get double the battery life since you can use one earbud until it dies, put it in the case to charge and then use the other earbud. The battery life is already really good but being able to rotate each earbud in and out makes the battery life even better and you pretty much don’t have to worry about ever being without at least one working earbud (assuming you keep the case charged which is also easy to do and does not need to be done all that often). When it comes to performance, I really like the sound quality these earbuds produce and the Stay-Aware mode is nice if you do want to use both earbuds at the same time rather than only one to still be able to hear what is going on around you. In addition, they are pretty comfortable to wear and the built-in controls are easy to operate and make for a great all-around listening experience. Overall, the Skullcandy - Mod True Wireless Earbuds are a really nice pair of earbuds and I highly recommend them!

I got these for my husband on 2/13/23 and the first day only the right one works. The left one won't come on or charge in the case. Taking them back this weekend.

I absolutely love these earbuds. The earbuds come with several different sizes of ear tip to ensure a comfortable fit. The earbuds themselves are small and lightweight. I managed to wear them for a couple hours straight without experiencing any discomfort. The charging case is a good size. It's not so small that you're going to easily lose it, but it's not so large as to be cumbersome. The case has just a single LED light on it to indicate charging status. The case comes with a built-in Tile tracker and can be found using the Tile app. My one complaint about this product as a whole is that the charging contacts can be a little finicky. If you don't have them "just" right, then the earbuds could fail to charge. That being said, it should be noted that the earbuds seem to hold a charge for a good long time. I used these almost continuously for three hours in a coffee shop, and they kept going strong. Sound quality is quite good. I've been using these primarily to play games and watch movies, and I don't have any complaints about the quality. I quite enjoyed these earbuds and would recommend them to anyone looking for a compact set of earbuds that hold a decent charge.

I got these to replace an old set of earbuds that I wore out. I was surprised just how good they sounded and the range when I walk away from my phone. Music sounded good and podcasts were very clear. Using the Android app allows you to adjust the EQ using presets and custom setups. This allowed me to adjust just the way I needed. The original pairing was ready since I read the instructions to not cancel the pairing by mistake. I get a good 3-4 hours battery and they recharged to fill in about 90 minutes. I got 6 recharges before I had to charge the case. I customized the button presses so the volume and skip were where I liked them and was able to use even with gloves on. They came with different sizes of tips so you can fit them to your needs. Phone calls were clear on both ends and it did sound like I was far away. It also makes it easier to use for conference calls and still sound present and not like I'm walking around the room multitasking. I fully recommend these if you need a good set of earbuds.

These headphones sound great and have a long-lasting battery, which is basically all you really need from budget wireless earbuds. However, they do fall short in a couple of areas. First, they lose connection easily when you're in a wide open space, such as a large intersection. Second, the charging port is finicky, and I regularly find that, after having left my earbuds to charge overnight, one of them has zero battery, because it hadn't been resting perfectly in the charging port. So that's something to be aware of.

I'm a big fan of Skullcandy 'phones. Generally they perform above their price point and are durable and well supported. I often recommend them to people who are prone to losing their stuff or who lose them easily. They're especially great for students or people who travel a lot. The Mod TW earbuds are no exception. The first thing you'll notice is that the case is a little on the larger side compared to some competitors. While this is true, Skullcandy claims that you'll get over 30 hours of charge time out of the earbuds and case. That's an insane amount of time and usually gets me through a week of commuting on the train. While the case is a little chonky it is contoured nicely so its easy to get into and out of a pocket. The hinge on the case is also very sturdy and opens and closes with some force so they won't open in your pocket. While they're comfortable I have a little bit of a challenge getting a good seal. I'm still playing around with the extra eartips. I tend to run into this problem with most earphones and switch over to foam third-party tips eventually. Sound quality is good. They are not nearly as good as my Bose or Apple earphones, but are more than acceptable at a much lower price point. They are very bass heavy but I tend to like a lot of bass. Highs are good without being overpowered with a touch of sibilance. The excellent Skullcandy app allows you to EQ them to your personal taste. The app also includes settings to change what the earbuds do when you tap them and even prompts you to download the Tile app so you can find the case using the built in Tile tracker. Excellent for teens and others who misplace their stuff often. While these aren't noise cancelling they do a good job of sealing out the train noise, but I'm still able to hear the announcements so I don't miss my stop. Definitely consider these as a primary set of earbuds or even as a back-up set for travel and commuting in situations where you might not want to lose much more expensive ones.

These earbuds and I have a love hate relationship. They are comfortable. The case resembles the apple with the fliptop but the buds look nothing like the apple buds. These have an odd shape and angle that prevent them from sitting firmly into the ear. I wish they had touch sensitive buttons. When first trying to push the button, it did nothing. I finally realized that the push had to be a very strong push. so much so that you have to support the earbud with another finger or thumb, otherwise it hurts the ear. You have to support the press because it does require a lot of force. This to me wasn't acceptable and they should consider touch sensitive buttons. The app is great. It does have a great many features including instruction guide, multiple device pairing, equilizier and more. There's sections to switch what the buttons do as well as turn on a stay aware mode. Stay aware mode is basically turning off noise cancelling so you can hear the ambient noise in the room. In that mode, everything did have an odd "sounds from a bucket" type of feel. I could hear the ambient noise but they sounded off, not normal at all. Other than that, the sound quality was pretty good. My biggest complaint is the physical buttons and the force it takes to press that button. Other than that, I did enjoy these buds.

Skullcandy Mod wireless earbuds are a WIN!

These Skullcandy True Wireless earbuds are the real deal. They are exceptionally easy to setup and pair. They very quickly found my iPhone and my MacBook and boom - I was paired. Skullcandy allows these to pair with 2 devices at once - they suggest you keep your phone paired while using another device so that you can answer via the earbuds. Smart! Anyway - I opened Apple Music, played a song (Taylor Swift) and I could hear beautiful music out of the earbuds. I then downloaded the Skullcandy app and found it to be quite useful although not necessary if you choose to forgo the app. The app allows you to make a bunch of customizations - for instance you are able to re-program the buttons, set the equalizer, see the charge left on the buds, that’s where you will find the use guide plus more. So it’s not necessary as much as helpful. I find these to be very comfortable and secure in my ears. The one thing I don’t like about these earbuds is the push-button style that is used to change the track, volume, answer a call, etc. on the buds. When I press on it (both left and right), I feel like I’m shoving the buds inside my ears and it’s quite uncomfortable. Most earbuds I have tried need just a simple tap to make changes. Overall, I am loving these Skullcandy Mod wireless earbuds and I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

Honestly for you basic buds these are hard to beat. The case is not as pocketable as the box would suggest but the most pocketable box of value headphones that I’ve seen, as for use time, I have been quite happy with them and I really like how they are tight in my ears versus hanging down with a slick part on some earbuds. The earbuds are independent of one another so using just one and either one is absolutely an option. There is a delay when the lid opens and you take the buds out before they connect, I see an advantage here as when several of my other buds are in my pocket I usually accidentally open them and the audio will connect to them instead of whatever I happen to be using at the time, which is annoying, these have enough of a delay that that hasn’t been an issue which I appreciate. For using them, they are extremely basic which is my preference, there are no controls on the buds that I have found; volume, pause, play, skip, or whatever else is done on your phone. For me this means that I can grab a bud without the music stopping. This is personally how I like my buds where none of the controls are on the buds. For sound quality, they sound great for what they are. Overall, I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for basic earbuds.
