Terrible sound quality. Returning.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always used over-the-ear headphones, so maybe it's not fair to expect the same levels of volume and sound quality. But these aren't even close to the quasi-disposable $25-30 over-ear models I've been ordering on Amazon. The cheapies may break after a year, but it's worth it.

Grrr
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wired ear buds are so much simpler! But consumers don’t have many choices these days. My new phone AND MY NEW IPAD both are without a plug. Grrr! And now I have a boatload of useless ear buds. Grrr!!!

Sound Thin No Bass
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Good: ear hooks help keep ear buds from falling off while jogging. The Bad: Sound quality is poor, not much bass, thin sounding. Using the smallest buds and shoved into my ear canals still sounds not great. Advice: Skip Skull Candy and get JBL. My JLAB ear buds are vastly superior in sound, I just wish they would stay in my ears during physical activity.

Connects When I Don’t Want it to!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Every 5 minutes these force themselves to connect to my phone! It is super inconvenient. I have several bluetooth devices connected to my phone, and the only way to stop these headphones from connecting without my permission is to either disconnect bluetooth or to forget the device. It overrides other devices I am using through bluetooth to play music and it is awkward to have a phone call and not hear anything only for me to realize the headphones connected without being prompted once again! It only took me one hour to realize that I am returning these the first chance I get!!!

Save your money
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The earbuds worked well the first couple months. It was easy to figure out the buttons and how everything works. You have to download an app to get full use. I’m not sure I would have bothered with it knowing that. They failed within six months of buying. One ear bud lost audio completely. I lightly used these ear buds at the gym and the occasional run. They never got wet and generally lightly used. Very disappointing.

Very nice set of wireless earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Skullcandy Push Active are a solid choice for anyone looking for true wireless earbuds. And even better if you are looking for buds to wear while being active. To start, everything is packaged very nice and has a good, high quality feel, but not quite premium. In the box you get the buds, charging case, 3 sizes of ear tips, and the shortest charging cable I’ve ever seen. Seriously, at best, this thing is about 3 inches long with the two connection ends taking up over an inch of that. I really don’t see myself using this charging cable at all. Next, I’ll talk about setup. These are pretty simple to set up. If you’ve ever set up a pair of bluetooth ear buds before, there aren’t any surprises here. However, there are a few extra steps if you want to take advantage of other features. You have to download the Skullcandy app for instance, if you want to take advantage of features such as custom EQ, Stay Aware, and custom button functions. All of which are worth trying out. Next, you’ll need to download the Tile app if you want to use that feature. Which, again, you’ll want to try out. It is actually very useful for finding your earbud if you’ve misplaced them. The app will tell you based on signal strength how close you are. Basically, like playing hot/cold. Once you are close enough, the buds will even begin chirping to really help you home in on them. Quite the useful feature. I just wish I didn’t have to install a separate app to use it. Next, I’ll talk about the actual performance of the ear buds. First off, they are quite comfortable to wear. They give you small, medium, and large ear tips, which should be good for most people. I have very large ears, and a lot of times even the large tips don’t fit me, but these fit just fine, even while being active. The integrated ear hook adds an additional level of security, which allows you to be a bit more active than with other ear buds. However, I would like the option to remove them when not needed. The actual sound quality is pretty good. They don’t have a ton of bass, so if that is something you are looking for, you may be disappointed. However, I think most people will be absolutely satisfied with their performance. The custom EQ feature in the app really gives you a lot of flexibility too, really allowing you to get the sound right where you want it. One thing I really didn’t like was where they put the buttons on the ear buds. They are on the bottom, so when the bud is in your ear, they are actually quite difficult to use. I had to take the ear bud out if I wanted to use the buttons. It’s definitely a head scratcher, and I don’t see why they didn’t just put it on the outside of the bud like most other ear buds out there. Luckily, the integrated voice commands make using these buds a little more pleasant. It’s a little odd at first saying Hey Skullcandy instead of Hey Siri or Google or something. I would have preferred one of those. But that aside, the functionality works great. It always understood me, and the commands are intuitive and easy to use, like Volume Up, Next Song, etc. Another feature that I have mixed feelings about is the Stay Aware feature. I love that they included this, especially for a product being marketed for an active lifestyle. However, I found the performance mixed. If you are just using them in a gym, or a low speed activity like walking or even jogging, they are perfectly fine. However, if you are moving at any type of faster speed, such as running, riding a bike, or even if it’s just an especially windy day, the mic really picks up that wind noise. It makes the feature all but useless in these instances. Here’s hoping they can update them to better remove wind noise in the future. Finally, I want to talk about battery life. These have the best batter life of any true wireless earbuds I have used to date. They boast 10 hours in-bud battery life, with an additional 34 in the charging case. This should easily get you through a work week without having to charge them, even if you use them most of the day. However, that time will be reduced the more features you use, such as stay aware, tile integration, voice commands, etc. Even so, these still have the best battery life I’ve seen. In conclusion, these are an all around great choice of wireless ear bud. They are very comfortable, sound great, and include many features found in much more expensive ear buds. There are a few things that could use some tweaks, but overall I would gladly recommend these buds.
