First thing I have to mention is the battery life is very impressive. I charged up my earbuds a week ago, and used them every day at work this week and still haven't had to recharge them. The Blue tooth performance is the best I've experienced as well, I could walk a few more feet down that hallway at work leaving my phone at my desk and still hear my music clearly without it breaking up. That doesn't sound like a big deal, but I was able to get to the restroom, and the lunchroom and still have my music, where every other pair of headphones I have used at work cut off somewhere down the hallway. The sound quality is very pleasant too, at first I thought the bass response was a little weak, but after I switched out the included gel sleeves to the slightly larger size the bass got much better. I definitely recommend these earbuds especially for the price. They're well built, sound great, have awesome battery life and impressive blue tooth performance. The only reasons I didn't give them 5 stars is because the body of the buds is a little to large for my ears and the hard plastic ends up causing me pain after a couple hours of wearing them. Also the included clam shell case/battery charger is a little bit of a pain to use, especially with one hand. The lid doesn't open far enough so it's barely balanced and likes to snap closed whenever possible making it frustrating to use with one hand. And lastly even though the sound quality is pretty good, the over all volume level didn't go up high enough for my liking. Even all the way up I could still hear a lot of the background office noises I was trying to block out.

After a two months, the right earbud quit working. I saw this occurrence on other reviews. It was past the 30 day return window at Best Buy. I have to go through the hassle of returning them to Skullcandy. I have no interest in buying their products again.

I may not be too technical but - but way too difficult to turn on/off. They do not pair well with or without the app. I'm returning these for a different brand. I've bought other brands that are more automatically simple. Instructions manual book was not helpful either.

Skullcandy Push Active 4/5 Star. The Push Active are a decent pair of earbuds if you can get past a few things. I like the fit, they are secure enough to walk around or run with. The sound is good, not great. Bass is a little lacking but good overall sound quality. If you are buying these for workouts the sound isn’t really a big deal. I think for $20 more you can get a lot more features in other buds though. Noise cancelling and transparent or ambient modes don’t cost much more. There are a few little frustrating things I struggled with that others will too. One, don’t read the painting instructions. I tried for 10 minutes to pair them according to the instructions and had no luck. I got frustrated and put them back in the box thinking maybe they were defective. A day later I got them back out and decided to pair them the way I’d pair any other buds and it worked. The instructions say to leave them in the case to pair but that doesn’t work. I was only able to pair them after I took one out and had it in my ear. Another frustration is the lid won’t stay open! It’s really not a big deal but a little frustrating especially when you read the instructions which, incorrectly, tell you to keep it open while you pair. The lid also feels cheap. The buds and the rest of the case don’t but the lid is flimsy and won’t stay open. If you’ve got $20 more to spend, move up to buds with more features. If $80 is your limit and you want something to use while exercising then these should be good.

One pair lasted about 4 months till the sound in the right ear went out. Second pair didn’t make two months. These are labeled as active but they don’t mix well with sweat.

Buds refused to charge the earbuds. Always go through Skullcandy if you ever have technical issues with any of their models. They made things right, even if I was sold a model that wasn’t even available anymore somehow?? Newer models work great though.

    Nice features, mediocre sound

These are the first earbuds I have ever had with voice control and I love the feature! Trying to remember button push combinations gets to be so challenging. With these, I can just speak certain commands and they work. The buds are extremely comfortable while being worn for multiple hours at a time. They do not fall out of my ears while I am moving around, and the battery life is pretty decent. Setup was simple. Since the voice control runs through the Skull Candy app, it needs to be open anytime I am using the buds. This is no big deal, and the app itself is easy to use. There is also an ambient noise feature to help people be aware of traffic or other parts of the environment. What I do not like about these buds is they have pretty mediocre sound quality compared to other sport-style earbuds. It's not horrible, and all the features above somewhat make up for it, but I still wish they sounded better. I am pretty disappointed when listening to music on them. Phone calls are fine, but the majority of my earbud use is to listen to music. It is somewhat a tradeoff - if someone wants easy to use, hands-free control of the earbuds and their phone, these are really nice. If they want amazing sound quality, these are definitely not the best option on the market. I would recommend them for someone who wants to run/jog and not lose their earbuds.

Great earbuds for exercising (or not exercising)!

Skullcandy is not a new brand to our family. Our boys have used the Hesh line of over-the-ear headphones for years and that have really liked them. As I've started to do more in the way of exercising, I was looking for earbuds that would stay in place a little better than what I currently had while playing music with great quality. After researching the Skullcandy Push Active earbuds, they seemed to be the ones to get. These earbuds are nice and lightweight. The main body is similar to some of their other true wireless earbuds, with a rectangular form with rounded corners. And, as I prefer, it doesn't have the plastic piece that hangs down towards your earlobes (that look like they need to connect to a cord). The earhooks are flexible rubber and have non-typical, but nice shape. They are just big enough without being too big, and they do the job of keeping the earbuds in place, doing it fairly comfortably. Be sure to download the Skullcandy app. After pairing the earbuds, open the Skullcandy app and then connect. If required, it will inform about any available firmware updates. It has a battery level display for each earbud. There is also a feature that can be enabled to control the phone camera, so the phone can be propped further away than arm-length to get picture without needing to set a timer and run to get in place. This can be assigned to any of the button functions. There is also the Stay-aware mode, which when turned on, it will relay outside sounds along with what is being listened to. Then, it has the equalizer settings. There are 3 presets: Music, Podcast and Movie. Custom will let you set the levels to your liking. The sound quality is great! Rich bass (which is what I prefer) and everything else sounding the way I like it (once I set the Custom Equalizer the way I like it). The overall battery life is the best of any of the current Skullcandy true wireless earbud models. The earbuds hold up to 10 hours per charge. The charging case holds another 34 hours of charging, so, technically there is 44 hours-worth available before needing to recharge the case. I feel the position of the buttons are a little awkward. Buttons on most earbuds are on the outside middle, but these are on the back edge. To press them without including part of the ear in the process, at least for me, the buds need to be pulled out/tilted slightly for clearer access. The case is an interesting design. Of course it isn't very small as it needs to accommodate the earhooks, but it has rounded edges and not much flat area to grip to open. At first, it was not as easy to open as some other cases., but It gets a little easier as you get used to it. It does have a magnetic closure to keep it from accidentally opening too easily. Even for the size, it is still lightweight. If you are looking for great sounding, comfortable true wireless earbuds that will stay in place while exercising, or hanging around, or just doing nothing, these are just the ones to get.
