Crushing it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great quality, sturdy and comfortable to wear whether working out or just at work. Noticed that sometimes connection will cut in and out but i assume thats mostly when there are multiple bluetooth sources nearby as it only occurs to me when im at the gym. Otherwise, i love them!

Great Earbuds!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Skullcandy Push Active True Wireless Sport Earbuds have great sound and long battery life. They lasted from 7am to 9pm. The charging case also has a long lasting battery life and charges the earbuds fast. The app works great with either button or voice control. Changing and customizing the buttons were easy and the voice control works well, very impressive. Pairing the earbuds to the iPhone was quick and easy. We did have a little bit of trouble finding the Push Active earbuds in the app, but we’re able to get it to work. The microphone for phone call sounds great as well. The earbuds can be far away from the phone and they still work. The range is really good. Cons: Sometimes while talking, the voice control thinks I say “hey Skullcandy” when I don’t. Also, I wish the part that goes over the ear was slightly larger to fit more comfortably. I do like the fact that they stay on while walking, running, playing basketball and dancing. Overall, they are really nice earbuds that would be good for an active person. They are easy to connect and use with either button or voice control. The voice feature is the best since you can pause, play, skip or change songs hands free. Perfect for use while running or if away from your phone. Really like that feature!

Must Read Before Purchase!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are reading this then you are interested and already know about what the product is capable of so let's get right to the issue. Skullcandy....Where's the BASSS!! While I love the idea of these buds and tech you put into them, they poorly lack bass. I would be willing to pay more for these if cost was a factor in the decisions to use cheap materials. The most important quality of a good set of buds is sound, then fit and comfort, then everything else. My wife and two sons agree with me but said they would be fine listening to podcast and maybe movies with these buds but listening to music isn't great. I had them listen to them for a few minutes just to make sure it wasn't my ears deceiving me. On battery life, I got 7hrs which is good but it's advertised for 10hrs on a full charge. So I'm not so sure what happened, I kept volume about 70%, had voice control on and stay aware mode was on about half the time so all those could drain battery I guess.

Decent sound, poor charging case experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality and fit are decent, and the app is easy to use. They paired right away with no issues. My only problem was that they would not disconnect when placed in the charging case. No matter what I tried they always stayed on. I returned them because I kept them in my gym bag, and my phone would connect to them instead of my car EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Adequate Performance / Features, Not for Everyone
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Executive Summary: I own several pairs of true wireless Bluetooth earbuds. None of them are great. The Skullcandy Push Active Sport earbuds are no exception--they have some nice features, but some of the execution is downright poor. Audio quality for music is ample, but the bass response is very weak, even at the highest bass settings. Voice clarity and microphone clarity are both very good. The earbuds are comfortable enough to wear for extended periods of time and are very secure in the ear. Having a push button on the right earbud does provide a good alternative to the Skullcandy voice controls--especially when the voice controls aren't working or the feature mysteriously stops working at random. Battery life and the included charging case are very good. However, the "stay aware" feature is absolutely horrible. Detailed Review: I was very excited to try out the latest Skullcandy true wireless sport Bluetooth earbuds, as the other two pairs (from competing brands) have fallen well short of my expectations. Between lack of secureness in my ears while cycling, intermittent connectivity issues, lack of Siri support and poor battery life, I was hoping the Skullcandy earbuds would be the final solution. Sadly, they are not. Let's start with fit. Out of all the earbuds I own, these feel the most secure in my ear. Not only are there three sizes of rubber ear inserts, but there is an additional loop that goes around the top of the ear. Wearing a hat and sunglasses, or a cycling helmet and sunglasses were no issue to the fit or secureness. I have worn the earbuds for well over two hours at a time with no ear sensitivity. In addition, mountain biking did not result in any sensation that the earbuds were not secure in my ears. The fit design is the best of all the earbuds I own. Next, let's address audio quality. For phone conversations, the audio and microphone are quite sufficient. Like any earbud device outdoors, wind will interfere with the microphone at times. These earbuds are no worse than any others. For music, the volume adjustment is sufficient for walking, running, and cycling. Of course, the faster you are moving, the more wind noise there is, and the louder you need to turn up the volume. Although the Skullcandy App allows for custom sound equalization, there is no setting where the bass response is strong enough. Otherwise, the audio is crisp. However, it does cut out randomly for about a tenth of a second often enough to be noticeable. Now, I'll address some of the ancillary features. Voice control using "Hey Skullcandy" works well for some activities, and works well some of the time. When walking or running, the feature is quite responsive and you only need to use your regular voice to activate it. However, when biking, I literally need to yell for the earbuds to respond, and even then it only hears me half the time. It's not like I'm riding at 20 mph--I'm on a mountain bike and it doesn't hear me sometimes as low as 10 mph. In addition, on some longer rides, the voice control magically shuts off and does not work at all. This is very aggravating. To combat this, I programmed the button on the right earbud to activate Siri when held for two seconds. The "Hey Skullcandy" commands are limited. For example, if I want to play "disco" music from my music collection, I can't tell Skullcandy to do that. I first need to ask Skullcandy to summon Siri, and then tell Siri I want that genre of music. This is an extra step that gets old, fast. The "Stay Aware" feature was one of the most anticipated features for me with these earbuds. When doing any activity outside, it is always nice to be able to hear approaching cars and people. The "Stay Aware" feature amplifies these external sounds so that you are not a zombie when listening to music while enjoying outdoor sports. I can definitely hear the difference between when the feature is on and off. However, if there is any wind--even when walking--the wind noise is also amplified. When running and biking, the wind noise is literally deafening to the point where the feature has to be turned off--which defeats the purpose. Extremely poor execution of this feature--I'm shocked that this feature would have gotten through any focus group or prototype evaluation without being addressed. Finally, the case and charging times. These earbuds come with a very nice hard shell case. The earbuds power up and connect automatically when removed from the case, and then disconnect, turn off, and charge when placed into the case. I would have preferred a way to turn off the ear buds without returning them to the case, as sometimes I don't use them for an extended period where they would need a charge before the next use. Cycling for just over two hours, the batteries were down to just over 50%. Charging took well under an hour. Overall. I can't say that I would recommend these earbuds over any others that I own. Sure I get a great fit and a secure feeling on my ear, good battery life, and Siri support. But the "Hey Skullcandy" limitations and it's inconsistent functionality, poor bass response, and absolutely awful "stay aware" feature make these no more of an advantage to own that my other pairs of earbuds.

Not Good
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, with my experience with all the different earbuds out there, I cannot recommend this product. I have had mixed experience with Skullcandy over the years and had good amount of respect for the sound engineers there, even though the consistency in charging etc. had somehow created a lot of problems. But, this product has by far the worst sound reproduction I have found in any Skullcandy earbuds. The bass is squeaky and the treble balance is simply off in the most cases. The buds look and fit great but at this mid-range point I was expecting a bit more. The call reception was mediocre as well and the it kept dropping to the extent that I had to simply disconnect bluetooth. Overall, this is probably the worst pair of earbuds I have reviewed in the last two years. Also, one bud charges with a push and prod and will soon stop charging eventually, again a problem that I have seen in the past with Skullcandy. They claim good battery life but I am not counting on it. Cannot recommend at all unless they give a 70% discount to their customers.

Not great in crowded environments.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first experience was trying to use this to watch a movie while exercising at my local gym. There were at least half of a dozen other people within 30 feet using Bluetooth headphones, and probably 40 or so within 100 feet, plus the WiFi signal. These ear buds kept dropping audio now and then when paired with my Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8", 2019 version. It was mostly OK, but sometimes one ear or the other would drop out for a fraction of a second, and continue to have stuttering audio for a total of around two to four seconds. The other issue is that, for some reason, these would not seal in my ears properly, so noise kept leaking in. This could very well be just a fit issue that others would not experience. On the positive side, the sound was good, and the "hooks" that go over the ears felt very stable, so you should not lose this even with vigorous exercise. Also, it has a button on each ear that lets you control volume, pause and play, and answer calls. But these are physical buttons on the side so you will have to deliberately grab the with two fingers in order to press it. You can't just tap. There is also a feature that allow you to connect TWO SETS of these together so that you can share the move or music with a friend! GREAT feature, but one that I could not test. So, if you need something for exercising where you are worried that other buds might fall out, or you want to share music with a friend, then consider these (if you are not going to be in loud environments or surrounded by too many other people on wireless devices). But if you don't need those features, it seems that there are better options. My Pixel Buds A are not much more money, and I have never had an issue with connection or sealing, although they have fallen out of my ears on occasion.

Perfect for physical activities
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely have enjoyed these ear phones/buds. I use them for the gym or when im hiking. They are perfect for it because they wont fall off no matter how vigorous my work out is. The battery life is long and you can charge them in the case if u are on the go.

Not For Audiophiles But Maybe Athletes
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a couple pairs of Skullcandy wired phones over the years and was pretty happy with the quality of sound vs the price. These are not what I expected at all. They paired easily with my PC and phone--but *not* the Skullcandy app for the phone. Tried every suggested remedy. Nope. My hopes of decent quality audio in earbuds that would stay put in bed or outside was dashed when I put them on. Tinny, almost irritating sound. I tried all kinds of tweaks with equalizers and effects with the PC and the phone. Still nothing resembling a decent earbud sound. Sometimes if the cushions don't seal to your ear canal you'll lose bass, but I had these snug and no matter what I was not happy. These deserve some praise for how securely they anchor to your ear. Maybe joggers would love using them with their phone. As a phone.
