These headphones fit the bill. I had recently upgraded my phone to a Pixel 5, so I gave up the standard headphone jack on my previous Samsung. The Pixel only has USB-C — and then along come these Skullcandys. Perfect. The sound quality is easily worth the low cost. They have a good punch, so listening to music is pleasing. However, I must admit that my main reason for getting them was to have headphones capable of using at any time, and mainly for phone calls. Period. I have headphones of greater sound quality, but they can be bulky and, of course, you need to make sure the batteries are charged. They come with multiple sizes of silicone buds, and once you find the right one for you, the sound-blocking properties are quite impressive. I had left them in my ears after a phone call while I was doing some reading and I was unable to hear my wife calling for me in the next room. (I think I just opened myself up to potential comments from different angles…) Anyway, they really work well. The only thing I wish they had was a volume control integrated in the mic pill. Other than that, these are great.

Headphones stopped working on one side after a day of use. Smh I want a refund but don't have the receipt.

Garbage, lasted 20 days is all. Had luck with Skullcandy in the past but not these ☹️

This is a simple pair of wired headphones that do the job well. This is at the cheaper end so set your expectations accordingly. The build quality is not stellar and there is no volume control. Honestly, it feels cheaper than it should. The packaging is okay. The USB-C connection works flawlessly with my phone and tabs. Sound quality is quite accurate and thumpy. The different sizes of ear buds will help you choose your sweet spot with them. I will not buy these again myself as there are cheaper wired headphones out there that will do the same job. If you value USB-C connectivity then this might be right for you. In my experience, the sound engineers at Skullcandy have consistently delivered on good sound reproduction and this is no different. However, the reliability of some of their products can be hit or miss. Let's see what the future holds for this one.

Since phone makers have rushed to eliminate headphone jacks, your choices are either go wireless or find something that can use the now common USB-C port (for Android, at least). These Skullcandy in-ear headphones follow the latter course, using USB-C as the wired interface. I used this with a Samsung S20+, and they worked out of the box immediately. While it came with other sizes of gels, I found the default ones to work best for me, with a nice secure fit that didn't feel like they'd fall out. Music sounded overall pretty good with these, with the bass just a bit muddy for my tastes, but definitely solid enough. Calls worked and sounded fine. The in-line controls worked well, except for the triple click for previous track, which would not work for me in Spotify. Play/Pause and next track were fine--maybe there's a just right cadence to get it? These are sport capable headphones, and thus have are resistant to sweat and water, so getting caught in some rain while running presumably should be fine, but not immersion. Overall, if you're looking for a set of sport headphones (and don't want to spring for wireless) and you have a relatively recent Android phone with USB-C, I'd say these are a pretty good value. They have water/sweat resistance, overall good sound, and fit well.

The curvature of the headphones fits and stays in my ear better then previous skull candy editions. Comfortable, could wear them all day and the sound is quality is great. I love the new usb-c port that every device is converting to, but I wish it had adapters for headphone jacks.

Didn't last very long. Earpads fell off. Only used indoors to listen to music before bed.

Today I am reviewing the Skullcandy Set wired earbuds. In my testing, I used them with my Samsung A21 cell phone for phone operation and for listening to various music genres using Apple Music as the source on my iPhone. First Impression: My initial impression of these earbuds is that they are well made. The wires seem solid and well attached to the mic/switch housing and into the earbuds. The earbuds came with a user’s pamphlet and various inserts for different ear sizes. Fit: Earbuds are hit or miss with me. Some fit well and others won’t fit well no matter how many rubber earpieces come with it. The Skullcandy Set fits my ears well and stays in without any problem. They provided a good seal helping to block ambient sounds. Quality: The headphones are well made. The selector button on the body feels solid. Clicking the button doesn’t feel soft and it doesn’t bounce. I wasn’t sure how I would like the single button approach. After using it with Apple Music and with the phone, I actually liked it much better than having multiple buttons to separate the functions. It was nice having one button to go to, and the earbuds knew what the function is based on what is happening. When the phone rings, a single click answers the call. When listening to music, the single click plays or pauses. I like not having to remember which button does which feature. Sound quality: This is where I wasn’t 100% happy. The highs and mids were tight and clean. The earbuds have good volume, and even with ambient noise, it was easy to hear them. However, there is no bass whatsoever in the pair that I reviewed. To be fair, I don’t know if that is the earbuds or the phone. The Samsung A21 is not a great phone, and it has no sound equalization or enhancement like the other Samsung models. I haven't used the A21 for listening to music yet, so I can't vouch for it as a good music source. So, it is possible that the lack of bass is at least partially the phone. But the missing bass is so obvious, I can’t use these for listening to music. Conclusion: I like these earbuds. I like the fit, I like the feel of the button, and I like the ease of operation using a single button. I did not like the lack of any bass sounds. However, I do not count that too much against these earbuds because they are not audiophile quality buds, and they don’t claim to be. When considering the price, these earbuds are definitely worth the price. If you want an inexpensive wired set of Android earbuds that work as expected, has clear audio, and decent ambient noise rejection, I recommend these earbuds.

None of my devices has a headphone jack anymore, but they all have USB-C. These earphones are an excellent option for getting high-quality sound from modern computers and phones, without any of the hassle of trying to connect via Bluetooth. BTW, the right wire is the one with the microphone and pause/play button. The only quibble I would have with these earphones is that while they are comfortable and usually stable in my ears, they do have the tendency to become loose while I am running. Earphones with a loop over the ear would be more likely to stay in place during vigorous exercise. All in all, I am enjoying my Skullcandies very much!

The USB-C Skullcandy S2SXY-N740 are solid little headphones that deliver high-end quality sound and mic performance at a very economical rate. These are my first pair of USB-C connecting headphones. I am not an Apple person, and I recently got a new computer and android phone that are both USB-C only without the inputs for a jack. Making this great timing for me. Out of the box the iconic skull greets you on a sleek contoured inner-ear headphone bud. This design fits very well and stayed snug and secure in my ears all day, whether at work or at the gym. The sound quality is superb and sounds no different than my pricier high-end (not USB-C versions).

These earbuds are just what I needed for my Samsung S20. I prefer wired earbuds so I can keep them in my purse and not worry about needing to keep them charged. These have a nice sound, easy controls, and work very well. The variety of tips makes it easy to find a comfortable, snug fit for activities. I'm very happy with these and happy to have wired earbuds for my Samsung phone again.

Bought for a Samsung 21 ultra and the audio will cut out due to the loose connection. Returned it back.

These are great backup earbuds for when my wireless earbuds are charging. No batteries to worry about or charging cable to keep up with! They sound great, especially for the price. I forgot how much better the sound can be on wired vs wireless sets. I liked them so much I bought a pair for my mom, who hates wireless buds.

During these Covid days, multi tasking means non stop Zoomin' to keep up with the educational, the inspirational and work details. So, for my interests, the wired Skullcandy earbuds are handy to have as an option when I want to conserve the charge on my wireless buds used when more freedom of movement is required. As relief from "range anxiety" about using up my wireless earbud charge, the Skullcandy unit is a plug'n play into my Chromebook for the multitude of back-to-back youTubes required to fix life's "endless breakage" and my host of other online provocations, Skullcandy didn't break the budget, affording excellent audio quality for online videos, music and VOIP. So far, only thumbs up feedback during online microphone sound checks. Moreover, when transporting the laptop between rooms, the feather weight design allows me to keep the unit plugged in without worrying that I'll bust the charging port. Thankfully, though the buds weren't snug out the box, I found the right fit in the range of bud covers securely packaged to mitigate fumbling the unwieldly nubs onto the floor. A short guide illustrates simple push button controls. And, for a wired set, the cord length is ample if not more generous than most of the competition. Big value in a tiny portable.

I love these Headphone's. They are the best I have ever gotten. The sound is so clear and the ear pieces are so comfortable. I enjoy wearing them while I relax and listen to my music. I have already recommended then to my family and friends and a couple of them already have them and enjoy them also. A great buy for such quality sound.

Really nice headphones! Has a very nice bass and sound to it. It is definitely noice cancelling, you can't hear anything or anyone when you have them at full blast. I would say they're one of the best brands out there right now. I highly recommend this brand!

Besides the fact that these are a USB-C connect and not in the headphone jack, I really like them. The sound is clear and the buds are very comfortable. There are three size options for the soft part that goes in the ear canal.

I've had these for about four months, and I work in a pretty wet environment. I'm not lying when I say I had to replace my AirPods every two to three months. It's gotten to the point where I just started carrying a speaker instead of earphones. However, when I bought these, I was blown away; no issues at all. I accidentally washed them in my washing machine and dried them in the dryer twice, and they work like new. No issue with the microphone or hearing; I might even say they sounded better after washing them. Jp but amazing all around
