    Excellent Mid-Range Headphones

Skullcandy’s “Strum” in-ear headphones are a durable and worthwhile pair of mid-range headphones. The ideal user for these headphones is an active user to also demands good sound quality. If you are an athlete, runner, gym goer, or simply someone that wants a pair of less fragile headphones you will find these to be a worthwhile investment. I will be rating these headphones based on durability and fit, sound quality, and appearance. Durability and Fit – 5/5 These headphones were clearly constructed with an active user in mind. The cord is flat rather than round to prevent tangling which is useful if you are one to pocket your headphones. The ear buds rest comfortably in the ear and simultaneously have a hook like design to prevent them from being pulled out. You can yank on the cord and the ear buds stay put without causing pain. Materials used in construction of the headphones seem to be of high quality and I would expect them to last a long time. Sound Quality – 4/5 The sound quality is above average. There is a good balance of treble and bass. If you are looking for high end studio equipment you will want to pass on these but for active or outdoor use the quality is more than adequate. The earbuds do an excellent job of blocking out outside noise which does a great job of enhancing your music. The one downside to the sound quality is unrelated to the playback itself. If you hit the cord hard enough or snag the cord on something the sound from the impact can reverberate through the cord and cause a short unpleasant thumping noise. This can be avoided just by being careful. Overall the sound quality is what you would expect for the price. Appearance – 4/5 These headphones have a simplistic design colored in black and chrome. The cord and remote are black while the earbuds are silver. There is also a silver Skullcandy logo on the outside of the earbuds. You won’t stand out in these earbuds but with the sleek design you certainly won’t look bad either. Other Features These headphones also feature a microphone and remote. The microphone works well for hands free calls. The remote has a slider you can use to adjust volume and a button to pause and play music. Overall Rating – 4.5/5 When considering price, durability, fit, sound quality, and appearance these earbuds are excellent. I would recommend these to anyone looking to purchase a pair of mid-range headphones.

Ear fit isn't the best, volume control is very difficult using one hand. Can only start, stop and answer phone calls with the button. Can't go forward or backward.

This didn't seem to put out my sound like the cheaper ones does. Didn't enjoy this at all so they were returned and I picked up the cheaper that always worked great for me. Built nice but that's all

I bought 4 off these for my kids for Christmas. 2 of them stopped working out of one ear on Christmas Day! They lasted about 1 hour.

Not as good as the past model. Falls out of ears and sound quality is not great. Volume bar and headphone jack are bulky too.

Had broken my previous pair of skull candies, which also weren't too great compared to the first pair I had... But these turds took the cake. Had them one day and took them back to replace them with Sony headphones. These sounded like one headphone was louder than the other, and not much bass at all. Skullcandy really has no good selection anymore, besides maybe their over the ear headphones. I needed something for work and those aren't exactly ideal for me. I prefer in-ear anyway.

These headphones sound and fit exactly like the 15 dollar pair. In my opinon they were not worth the money. And i returned them the next day.

Priced high for quality. The volume is a slide switch so it gets moved randomly. Not good for high speeds on motorcycle, the volume fades.

Sound sucks. I wouldn't buy then again. It's sound quality is not good at all. It's very hard to block out outside sounds.
