When I call "quiet time" the kids grab these and their tablets and "chill" this gives the adults time to watch TV or read without hearing multiple tablets. Then the kids plug them in each night before they go to bed. Super easy to connect to anything, the buttons are easy to use and know which is which (up/down/power) and they have great sound and volume, sometimes too loud for the kids.

Good basic Bluetooth headphones

On my previous Bluetooth headphones from a different brand this button broke after a year. I expect a similar outcome on these so I purchased an extended warranty. One note is that the volume control is on the headphones only. This means that volume changes are not sent back to your phone.
