Very decent for avg. uses (planes, music while on a walk, privacy listening). I use them while mowing and they work ok for that. Higher end unit would obviously provide better noise cancelling ability. But, these are decent. Also the ear pads could stand to fit a little more tapered or band a little tighter. Overall for $$ and quality it definitely receives a 4+ from me.
