I will start by saying I am not an audiophile, but like most people can tell the difference between a good pair of headphones and average pair. I had read some of the previous reviews on these to see if I found the same issues that people had previously found. The biggest complaint I had heard is that the Venue was creaky when you bent or twisted them. My pair has none of that. They are solid and well made while remaining very light. Another complaint was a low hiss when using Active Noise Cancelling (ANC). I did notice the hiss, but it is barely noticeable unless you are looking for it and not noticeable at all while playing music or on a phone call. Very forgivable for a headset in this price range. I would also say that my other ANC headset which costs nearly twice as much also has a slight hiss. I played several different styles of music through these, from heavy metal to classical and in each case the sound quality was fantastic. It felt like I was able to hear every detail and never felt that the sound was muddy or overcharged. For me, A good test of a pair of headphones isn’t how loud you can make them, but how clear the music is at lower volumes. On that score, these performed extremely well! I was very surprised at how light and comfortable these are. I wore them for several hours straight to see if they would bother my ears and they never really felt uncomfortable. These do clamp down on your ears pretty hard, so I had to move them around at first to find the “sweet spot” over my ears. I have fairly small ears and still had to do some adjusting to get them to feel right as the ear opening on these are a bit small. If you have larger ears, these might not fit as well. One thing I did not expect from a headset in this price range is Tile tracking. I use Tiles for my keys, so I already had the app. These were added easily and give off a chirping sound when I tested them. It’s not extremely loud so you may have to wander around to hear them, but it’s a great feature to include. Perhaps one of my favorite features is rapid charge. Not only do you get a very long amount of time on a full charge (They claim 24 hours, though I haven’t tested that myself), but if you’re running low on power, you can get something like 5 hours of use after only 10 minutes of charging. That is awesome! I have used the Activate Assistant feature a couple of time just to test it, and it works flawlessly. I don’t use google assistant to often, so this feature didn’t mean that much to me, but if you do, it will be very useful. Overall, I highly recommend the Venue. You can spend half the cost of high end ANC headphones without sacrificing much in the way of sound quality, build quality or comfort. For me, these have replaced my high end headphones for travelling and commuting.

Sounds really good. Unfortunately they don't connect wirelessly to my PS4 Pro, Galaxy S9, Chromebook, or Fire Stick. Using the included aux cord works fine, but then what's the point of buying wireless?

    Noise Cancelling button issues

We got these for our child who is sensitive to sound and likes to block things out. They were effective for that, but after one month, the noise cancelling button wore out and wouldn't work. Luckily Skullcandy's warranty covered it and we are getting a replacement through them.

The sound is good but the build quality not so much. It is true that they have noise cancelling but I think it would be best if you got the Crusher Evo.

    Great Noise Cancelling Headset

My review is on the Venue Skullcandy Wireless noise cancelling headset in Black. There are plenty of noise-cancelling Bluetooth headphones out there, but very few actually deliver. This is a very solid headphone that offers very good above average noise cancellation. Immediately after opening the box you are introduced to a very solid oval shaped case, Inside you will find the Venue headphone, usb charger and aux cable to make them a wired headset. I was very impressed at how secure they were inside, and when I popped them over my ears, they were very snug and didn't hurt my ears. They are matte black plastic build with a very comfortable headband, the ear pieces are heavily padded and rest well on my ears. The all-black design gives you a very minimalist look that can pass off like the higher-end brands out there. My concerns about the design are that both ear cups swivel around pretty loosely and I'm afraid they would snap off. The left ear contains the Power button and ANC button, the LED status lights. The right ear contains volume rocker, multifunction button for playback/call management/voice assistance. The voice mic is also located on the right ear and does work when wired and wireless enabled. I was impressed with the battery life: Skullcandy estimates close to 24 hours before requiring recharge, or 40 hours with the audio cable using the ANC. I haven't clocked mine yet, but I am on my third day of using them with battery life almost at half. So, how well does the ANC do? In regular ANC mode, the Venue does an incredible job in actually performing noise cancellation. I can barely hear the noise around me when the ANC is turned on. I can enjoy my movies and music without worrying now of the environment when outside or if I am at home and not worry about hearing the fridge making hourly sounds. The Bass sounds are amazing where you get really bass depth here. When watching movies, I get nice sound when watching videos and tv shows as well as the background music sounded really crisp. Overall, the Venue has great bass sounds. I was impressed with the ANC as the ambient noises around me were eliminated. Just be careful when handling then because the ear cups do swivel more than what I would want.

Overall the sound was great. Didn’t like how they looked huge on my head. Already own apple products and decided to opt for the new studio 3’s. If I didn’t have the extra money for the beats I would’ve kept them.

Great sound and decent noise cancelling, but very uncomfortable to wear. After 1 hour my ears were sore. Very tight fit on the ear. I returned them the next day.

For the value and quality you can’t beat this. Only one thing that could be tweaked a little bit. The headphones are a little too tight and can cause ear fatigue if you keep them on for a long time.

Though I've only had these briefly, the range on these is pretty good. The band feels flexible enough that I don't have to worry about accidentally snapping the headphones, and they don't take long to charge at all.

I bought the Venue and was greatly pleased at the sound , much much better sounding than its Bass enhanced brother, BUT even at first I was greatly displeased with the build quality, especially at the asking price. I was riding home from work from Seattle on the bus and every time the bus hit a bump in the Highway the speakers jumped and crackled ! I freaked , I thought NO WAY !! But sure enough the build quality was even worse than i thought. I brought them back for a refund and bought the Bose headphones and never looked back .

The sound quality is really really good. But it won't interface with most of the devices I wanted to use it with (tablet, TV, iMac) unless I use the cord. And the cord is pretty short.

Good quality for the price. Son is enjoying. MAke sure you buy the warranty plan as the cable sometimes goes bad. Again, for the price it's not bad at all. With the plan, a replacement is always available.
